Chapter 18 - Chapter#18: “You Ready For Round Two, Shiden?!”…

Previously On Unknown: Akishima absorbs a magical core, forming a pact with a devil for strength. In a flashback, Matsumoto reveals Akishima's possession of the 'Dark Element.' Returning to reality, Akishima swiftly defeats attackers on the stairs. On the second floor, Hisashi is defeated, Tsukikage is missing, and Matsumoto is unharmed, raising questions about the ongoing events in the Gomi Palace.

*Three Minutes Ago On The Second Floor Of The Gomi Palace, Shiden VS Hisashi…*

Shiden has gotten momentum from Hisashi's attack and is now heading straight at him. Hisashi couldn't believe the sight before him as he tried to comprehend what previously happened.

*At The Same Time, Where Tsukikage And Matsumoto Are…*

Tsukikage coughs up blood, his entire body filling with holes. His eyes had lost all sense of life. The mere shock of what happened before was what he was trying to cope with, not even the pain he was feeling at the moment.

His entire body is covered in a deep reddish hue. You could see the remains of his inside hanging from his body. Saying this scene is horrific is an understatement.

He tries to speak but as he does he starts to feel an excruciating pain within his neck; he can't utter a word.

Matsumoto just stood there watching Tsukikage with an emotionless expression.

Tsukikage coughs up more blood and starts to fall to the ground, reaching his limit. But right before he does, Matsumoto chants a spell. "Turn Your Imagination Into Reality, Creation Itself, Time Elemental! Time Magic One Star - Level 1! Temporal Gate!"

As Tsukikage falls about to lose consciousness the gate opens horizontally underneath Tsukikage and he falls in it.

The gate closes and it starts to fade slowly. As it does Matsumoto stares at it recalling something that happened a few moments ago. "You're an idiot. You thought that would really work? When you trapped me within that prison of yours, I could immediately sense that magic couldn't be used within it." He explains further, "It seemed that the prison was like a vampire, it sucked up the surrounding blood and mana of any living thing and that would include you."

As Matsumoto continues, a greenish glow starts to form within his hand. "But you see, there is one flaw of that attack. That flaw is its inability to absorb the mana of special elements. Furthermore, it's useless against me." he declared with a devious grin.

The gate completely fades away and he utters, "I may have told everyone that even though I'm the strongest, I'm still human, but what you forgot is that even though I'm human, I'm still the strongest." he continues, "I won't kill you, I still need answers after all. So stay in there and behave ok?" he turns around, now having no one to distract him, and continues to watch the fight.

As Matsumoto turns around to continue watching the battle between Hisashi and Shiden, he's met with Shiden ramping into Hisashi.

*Over To Hisashi VS Shiden, Just A Few Second Ago…*

Because of how fast Shiden's moving, Hisashi has no time to dodge so he prepares to clash head-on with 'the rain' Knowing that the air element cannot be cancelled by any other element, Hisashi plans to use his physical strength but it won't be easy. In addition, he doesn't have manki.

He braces himself in a guard stance whilst burying his feet in the ground and takes the full brunt of the attack. The attack is devastating beyond belief, and cracks are starting to form around Hisashi's feet proving that eventually the ground will shatter and it's a good thing he buried his feet.

*This Is The Same Moment In Which Matsumoto Turned Around…*

Several cuts appear around Hisashi's body along with the lightning dealing great damage to him. Eventually, the ground completely shatters and Hisashi starts to be flung backward as Shiden pushes him further.

Before Hisashi gets slammed into a wall Shiden's attack disappears and at lightning speeds, he appears behind Hisashi with his hand glowing a bright purple lightning.

He proceeds to pierce Hisashi's body, the lightning in his hand shaping into a sharp blade. Faster than Hisashi could react, he felt a sharp pain in his back.

Shiden pierces him; however, there's not a single drop of blood. This is because Shiden's hand was vibrating when the purple lightning was in his hand. It vibrated so fast it fazed through the body of Hisashi and once fully entered the boy's body, Shiden proceeded to let out a huge amount of purple lightning energy that electrocuted the boy.

As simple as this may seem, it's a devastating attack. One could say it's torture. Think of your entire internal organs all being struck with high voltages, which includes your brain and heart, of course. Due to how weak and moisturized these organs are, along with the blood in your body, this should be a pretty easy fatal blow, right?

Well no, there's still your core and your core cannot be damaged by any physical means. Therefore, Hisashi is still alive. I'll be gravely injured.

Hisashi coughs up blood and falls to the ground, his pupils fading away and his body emitting black smoke. A loud thud was heard, signifying Hisashi's defeat.

*We're Now Back To The Present…*

All that had happened, happened for three minutes.

Shiden looks at the unconscious Hisashi with a neutral and triumphant face. He utters with a slight, slow smile, "That was pretty good. You truly are an intriguing and talented opponent." Chuckling as he acknowledges Hisashi's strength.

Matsumoto, still watching on, uttered, "Well, it seems that the boy failed." His voice is a mix of disappointment and humour.

Shiden realized Matsumoto's presence. He was so caught up in the battle with Hisashi that he completely forgot about Matsumoto.

He then realized that Tsukikage wasn't there with Matsumoto and inquired about it. "Hey old man, where's that 'second'?" He addresses Tsukikage as 'second', awaiting a response.

Matsumoto didn't answer his question, rather he countered with a question of his own. "Why are you asking me such a stupid question, if you already know the answer?" He says with slight smile on his face.

Shiden already knew that Tsukikage was defeated by Matsumoto; however, he didn't know how he did it because Tsukikage was nowhere in sight.

But before he could think any further, Hisashi started getting up before him. Shiden was understandably shocked and confused. That last attack should've been the end of the boy.

Watching Hisashi struggle to get up, Shiden shouted in frustration. "What the hell!! How are you conscious?! Grrr… WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU MADE OUT OF?!" He points at the weakened boy with a face of frustration, disgust, and bewilderment.

Hisashi, weakened and pale with bags under his eyes, heavily breathing and captivated in cold sweat, glares at Shiden. His eyes are a mix of determination and cockiness with a cocky smirk on his face.

Shiden was taken aback by the sudden change in the boy and as they both stared at each other, Matsumoto was watching, he smiled realizing that the show wasn't over yet.

Hisashi then inquires, "You ready for round two, Shiden?!"
