Chapter 46: Polymath.
"So we were talking back and forth about our grandkids, and then he started bragging about his granddaughter, who is one of the top in her school."
"Really? That's very interesting."
"Yup. And then I told him about you, about the fact that you are also in one of the top positions in your school. He said that he will bring his granddaughter to his house to meet me. Then I told him that I will bring my grandson as well , to meet him– you meet with him. To his house."
'So that's why.....'
Ren and Harate were both talking with each other as they were being driven by Luther, who was taking them to the destination. To the place harate was talking about.
"Sir," Luther spoke , earnings attention from harate , "After this, we should go and have a meeting with the managers of different branches to talk about the future investments."
"True. Also, the political involvement in the company needs to be discussed as well. That part shouldn't be left without any sort of discussion. " harate said , his voice filled with complex emotions , "If we joint hands with the wrong people, then it would cause our own demise."
'...That's probably one of the reasons why the company met it's demise in the future...'
From his seat in the car, Ren stared out the window, his thoughts lingering on his grandfather and Luther's conversation in the backseat about business. The two men spoke in low tones, their serious discussion a backdrop to Ren's wandering gaze as he took in the world outside.
The car moved steadily through town, passing rows of shops and busy streets. The sun's golden hue painted everything in a soft glow, transforming the late afternoon into a picturesque scene. Pedestrians bustled along the sidewalks, their movements reflecting the urgency of wrapping up the day's tasks or catching a moment to relax before evening set in.
Stores with colorful signs lined the street, each showcasing a unique selection of goods. A boutique displayed elegant outfits in its windows, while a bookstore enticed with shelves of intriguing titles. Nearby, a bakery's inviting aroma wafted through the air, a warm blend of freshly baked bread and sweet pastries.
The calm yet vibrant scene outside provided a soothing contrast to the intense conversation happening in the car. Ren found himself momentarily lost in the sights, the lively atmosphere of the town offering a brief escape from the weight of business talk.

After a car ride of almost an hour, Ren, Harate, and Luther finally arrived at their destination. As Ren approached the place, he couldn't shake the feeling that he had seen it before. He dismissed the thought, assuming it was just a misunderstanding.
'Wait, this place...'
"Well, well, aren't you entering someone's land without notice? You haven't changed, you damn old bone."
An old man with a straight posture approached Harate, addressing him as he walked. Despite the harsh words, his voice had a gentle tone.
"You say I've changed, but look at you. You haven't changed since the last time I saw you," Harate said as he walked towards the man, whom Ren recognized immediately.
'This person...' Ren glanced at his grandfather. 'The leader of the Jewan group... was his friend all along....'
"It's been a while. How have you been?"
"I've been well. And you?"
"I've been well, though it would have been better if I hadn't seen that face." Ren thought these words were directed at the old man's son, IL Sun, but he was mistaken.
The harsh words were actually meant for the man standing behind him—a man with a straight posture and a smile on his face.
'This man is trouble...' Ren thought as he began wiping the sweat from his forehead, feeling the pressure rise. 'My intuition is telling me that...'
"Hello, I am Jong Seo, the head butler of this mansion. It's a pleasure to meet you," he said, bowing his head as he stood beside IL Sun, who had his eyes closed.
The old man exuded quiet dignity and expertise. His hair, now a soft gray, was neatly combed, and his white facial hair was trimmed with precision. He wore a brown coat that complemented his professional and polished appearance, giving him an air of sophistication.
