She chose a certain food and a drink. The food was 'lobster roll', and the drink was just a normal soft drink...non-alcoholic.
Then she handed the menu over to me, then I began scanning it looking for the food and drink I'd choose. There was a lot to choose from that I got confused at some point as well.

I kept scanning through the foods until I saw one that caught my interest, something I'd eaten before...'pork tenderloin sandwich'. This was an excellent food to eat, and it was so delicious.
It was among my best, and it would be so nice to eat it now. So I chose it along with a certain wine, and I'd placed my order. The waitress collected the menu from me and walked away to go bring what we ordered for.
After she'd walked away, Ivy inquired of me, "So, how did the rest of today go after our phone conversation?".
