"We've arrived; it was an incredible journey. Thank you, Doki." Suki didn't forget to thank him before stepping down from the back of this beautiful gryphon.
It was still night, so Thorian said, "You can go back; I'll spend the night training if it's not a bother."
Suki was about to say something when one of the Kyoshi warriors quickly approached from a dark bush. She looked at her with a slightly confused expression and asked, "Is something wrong?"
"Lady Yukari is calling for you; it seems she has an answer to the visitor's request."
Thorian nodded and walked ahead without saying a word. Soon the two of them followed him, and upon arriving again at the meeting place, only Suki's mother was there, looking very pensive.
As the meeting was now more private, Thorian felt more comfortable, and once he walked up to Yukari, he sat in front of her, awaiting what she had to say.
"What are the chances that you can expel the Fire Nation from the sea?"
Thorian, who heard this question, immediately said, "The strategy is to weaken the enemy; we will slowly take away their cruisers and at some point negotiate with them to exchange prisoners of war. At that moment, you will know the answer to this question."
"I can't provide much food, but enough; we can also trade good material for you, and so you won't receive any malicious intent. The special question now is how you will manage to transport all that material."
Thorian looked around and said, "Through submarines, your daughter was able to see them in person, and if she talks to you, she can tell you many more details than I can now. The submarines are on their way to this island right now; they'll arrive before dawn, so you'll know how we'll move the resources from this island without anyone noticing."
Battle plans were getting better and better, so they might as well create a secret passage where the submarines could pass beneath the island and lead to an artificial lake where they could emerge from the water without anyone noticing.
These plans were being made on other islands, but to do a better job, earthbending masters would be needed, and only then would they have great control over the terrain they would be gaining.
Ambushes, attacks, and defenses could be executed in a way that their enemies couldn't anticipate.
"Lady Yukari, the ones from the Water Nation have arrived." A voice from outside immediately informed them when they learned that the people they were expecting had arrived.
Yukari turned her gaze and then said, "It seems they arrived earlier than expected; let's see if they are as silent as you mentioned."
As they stood up, they reached the shores where two submarines had emerged from the water, and a rear hatch opened where some warriors from the Southern Water Tribe came out. Everyone looked at the Kyoshi warriors, and when they focused on Thorian, they nodded their heads.
"So, will those things sink underwater?"
Thorian looked at the submarines and said, "This is the finalized model; they are designed to move resources and people. Although we'll use them to modify combat tactics, as long as you agree to provide us with resources, we can offer you things that abound in our location."
Suki looked at those warships that moments ago were in the southern city and was surprised that they were now outside the island; that travel speed was absolutely terrifying.
"All right, have them bring the resources I've selected." Yukari looked at the people behind her and ordered them directly.
Everyone started moving, and Thorian, who didn't want this favor to be free, said, "For anything you need from us, we'll be nearby; thank you for supporting this cause."
"Don't get it wrong; the last thing we want is to have anything to do with you and the war you're about to revive. We're only doing this because we believe you need the help that we can offer humanely."
After hearing these words, Thorian decided to walk away; he knew that an existing fear of getting involved existed, and Yukari, who only wanted to protect the inhabitants of this island, was doing her best.
But everyone understood that this war involves everyone in the different nations; the duty to participate and be part of it is what they must do if they at least represent some values of those who built this place.
Thorian now only had one choice: to gather the war council and attack. As they eliminate each cruiser that enters these seas, they will soon attract the needed attention; he needed to know what they need.
"The resources are being loaded." Suki approached Thorian, who was near the shores, and informed him.
Thorian gave her a glance and nodded in gratitude. "I really don't know how to thank you; we could well train on some occasion, just martial arts, to see how good the Kyoshi warriors are."
"Whenever you want, just be careful with what you're about to do," said Suki, showing a bit of sympathy.
"Thank you very much."
