Chapter 58 - Clash of Power

"White Demon!"

In the midst of the battle, there was a thunderous shout that rose above the rest; everything seemed to pause at that moment, and every soldier took a step back when they saw that General Abisal was about to enter the battlefield.

By this point, practically everyone had received injuries ranging from minor to very severe, and unlike the warriors from the Fire Nation, here in the north, they could heal themselves through waterbending.

That was what would make the difference in numbers on this battlefield. Fire and ice erupted fiercely as the two locked eyes; each one wanted to prove their dominance in these moments, and that was exactly what they were doing now that they had faced each other.

How fast was the speed of firebenders? By propelling their movements with the fire from their feet, they could achieve unmatched speed boosts.

At moments like these, when two powerful individuals fought, others either retreated due to powerful impacts or waited for the outcome of the battle.

However, it turned out that the troops that had arrived from the rear had broken through the rear ranks and reached the ground that should have been the northern city.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Loud explosions began to be heard behind Abisal's army, which didn't bother to pay attention at all because his goal was to at least win against the White Demon.

Both of their thoughts were the same: to attack fiercely and kill the great general so they could end the battle as quickly as possible. It was simple: after the death of a general, morale overflowed. That was the goal of many in a large-scale battle like this.

Under Thorian's feet, the ground began to heat up to the point that it left traces of furious fire behind every time he took the initiative to attack.

From a distance, one could see the blue flames facing the orange ones with great fury. There was never a moment when one could be calm while watching these furious attacks.

The soldiers behind Abisal moved to support him in this battle and fulfill the objective of killing Thorian before they were exterminated, but at that moment, the forces behind him also moved to attack.

With a sharp clash of swords, the confined blue flames clashed with Thorian's cold aura throughout the battlefield.

Boom!

The sound made by the fire colliding with the cold caused houses in the surroundings to explode, clearing the battlefield; the flames and the ice were so powerful that few could withstand this temperature.

The order everyone had was to kill each other until one of the two sides remained standing.

At this point, Thorian was truly excited to face someone strong for the first time on this battlefield.

Behind Abisal, there were two thousand warriors seeking Thorian's head, while on his side, the forces did not exceed five hundred men.

Booooommm!!!

The blue flames swung furiously against the enemy. These attacks were so aggressive that even the soldiers from the north needed to step back to stay safe.

Thorian was sweeping through the Fire Nation's army like a violent hurricane, claiming lives everywhere. When he observed the enemy's actions, he felt a bit confused because he didn't understand the value these soldiers were giving to their lives.

"Aaaahhhh!"

Crack! Crack!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

With such terrifying momentum, even Abisal couldn't stop him; the attacks that passed around him while facing Thorian were unstoppable in his eyes.

"Let's go; let's not disappoint the spirits of the ocean and the moon. Attack!"

The soldiers behind Thorian, seeing his momentum, decided to advance regardless of the consequences.

Each of them was exhausted and had countless wounds from the numerous battles they had fought before. But they had fought with their strength, power, and courage before. But this time, they were fighting with their hearts in their hands.

How could they stop defending their land?

Now they needed to fight; even if they died, they would do so gloriously by keeping the enemy in that state.

"Face me, you damn coward!" Abisal roared with fury and attacked forcefully with a kick that made Thorian step back a bit, but moments later, he charged again.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Thorian's sword swept the space in front of him, repelling all the approaching orange flames seeking to harm him.

The combined attacks of the firebending soldiers were fearsome; Thorian was nearly injured as he couldn't repel hundreds of benders attacking him.

"Hold on, reinforcements are on the way!"
