Earth Nation. Colonial city of the Fire Nation.
Soldiers in the distance watched as a group of people walked under the scorching sun, and everyone prepared for battle. However, as they were about to attack, they discovered that all of them were wearing Fire Nation clothing.
"Inform them immediately; they are citizens of the colony in the Narrow Sea."
The group, despite being from the Fire Nation, was very suspicious. Why had they been allowed to go without being taken prisoner like the enemy had done with other colonies they had attacked?
A man named Aair looked at the outsiders and ordered, "Quick, have them all registered before you let them in."
"Understood, General!"
A line quickly formed for everyone to be registered before entering. Among the group of refugees, there were hooded individuals wearing gray masks underneath, through which they were breathing. Countless people of this nature were among the refugee group, all of them elite soldiers who were here to take this city. While a direct attack was being made, there were also earthbenders digging a tunnel underground.
Derek, who was the main objective of this mission, stepped forward and shouted, "The coalition army is chasing us; it may not be long before they catch up. You can't treat us like this; we have suffered a lot before being able to get here."
"Rules are rules, soldier; form them up now and don't cause trouble."
Derek ignored the instructions and looked angrily at the people of this city. His gaze went beyond the simple soldiers and focused on the elite ones who were standing behind the man everyone called General Aair.
But just when the wait seemed eternal, a blue ball emitting a chilling aura crashed against the city's main wall, causing it to freeze completely.
"Aaaahhhhh!!!" Boom! Boom! Boom!
Three more large impacts were heard, and all the soldiers who were trying to do something panicked due to the long-range attacks. And at the moment when they didn't know what to do, they looked into the distance and saw an army of enemy soldiers staring at them.
"Quick, let us in, and we can help you defend this city." Derek insisted repeatedly from below, making the people around him hesitate.
Aair clenched his teeth and, after a long consideration, said, "Let them in, seal all the gates of the walls, and send distress signals to the fleet."
What a tragedy...
Thorian watched from afar as all his undercover soldiers were allowed in. At that moment, along with the soldiers underground, it could be said that the battle to take this city was already won. And as expected, when the soldiers emerged from underground and the undercover individuals began killing soldiers, the battle had begun.
"Order them to intercept!" Thorian said this from the side, looking at the battlefield.
Brad nodded beside him and, after putting on his helmet, ordered a direct attack on the city to take control as soon as possible.
"Aaahhhhh!!!" Boom!
Aair looked at Derek in horror, who had suddenly started attacking his soldiers, and asked, "Why have you joined the enemy?"
"You're not ready to understand!"
Crack!
In just a few moments, the city had been taken, and Thorian entered patiently into the city that had not been reclaimed in many years of war.
"Gather all the surrendered soldiers."
When Thorian issued these orders, he looked at those nearby and shouted, "Swear loyalty or die!"
No one was unaffected by these words; obviously, no one would surrender to such a sudden and harsh request.
But Thorian had expected this and shouted, "All of you are cannon fodder that is not important to the emperor. None of you are in his eyes, and the nation you represent despises you as unworthy beings for not being born in their native lands."
"Those who do not swear loyalty and commit to the new world will die. Here and now, all swear loyalty to the banner of the new and only nation." Everyone watched in horror as a man who had spat on the ground was turned into an ice sculpture.
When everyone saw that death was in front of them, they simply knelt on the ground, and seeing this, Thorian, who was near Derek, said to him, "Make them loyal soldiers; they will die if they are not useful to me."
"Understood, my lord!"
Things turned out to be much calmer when the world knew who Thorian's father was. So in a way, knowing how he had died, everyone knew that this was more than an injustice, and knowing that he was Draver's son erased doubts of betrayal and replaced them with objectivity.
To form that great city where he would lead the four nations, Thorian now needed to treat these people well. He didn't want to be remembered as the bloody emperor, so he would do his best to be a better leader.
But still, many were killed; those who tried to escape or incite a revolt were all eliminated. The world didn't need them, and neither did Thorian, so after gaining control of this city, negotiations would begin with the ruler of the Fire Nation.
