Inside his room, remyr was going through his memories, he recalled his interaction with his family and other's he has two sibings a younger brother and a younger sister, Tristan Ashewood and Adeline Ashewood, his relation ship with them were so-so, when they were young, he was a reliable brother, but as he grow up, he became distant from them, both of them excelled in magic talent, this made Remyr develop a sort of inferiority complex and overhearing the constant comparison between them from the maids and knights made him distant.
Remyr in his past life has a younger sister and eventhough he were incompetant, he maintained good relationship, even when she got a job and he were unemployed, it didnt change that, so the current situation was troubling to Remyr, thus he madeup his mind to reconnect with his siblings during this time. Once he get inside Dreadwood Academy, he wont be able to comback till the semester break, or so he heard.
It was dinner time and everyone is sitting around the dining table, the long position occupied by the Duke, to his right is Duchess Isadora Ashewood, she was remyrs mother and the person closest to remyr, even in his dark time, she was there with him comforting him amidst her busy schedule. Even now she is showing a saddened expression knowing that the time for him to leave for academy is fast approaching. On the left side of the table is occupied by his siblings Tristan Ashewood and Adeline Ashewood, both sneaking innocent glances at him.
Remyr is currently sitting opposite to the Duke, the Duke had dismissed the maids and only letting Sebastian to stand at his side behind him.
'well, this is awkward.'
"..Mother, I will be leaving for academy next week, before that tomorrow I wish to shop for some thing's. ...Adele, Tristan, if you are free tomorrow do you want to join me?"
The adults at the table had an incredulous look while Tristan had a bewildered look and Adele was beaming with joy. I looked at the both of them alternatively and they nodded expectantly. Confirming that I looked to seek approval from mother then father, they both gave me approving nodes.
After the dinner mother gave me a hug and told me she would accompany us tomorrow, I was a bit reluctant but remembering that I haven't gone outside with her in a while I agreed.
Next day morning, Sebastian came to wake me up and after that the maids assigned to me came with some flashy outfits that were specifically made for me, I choose the least flashy outfits, waiting outside the hall was the Duchess and the two siblings dressed in a high nobility manner.
Exchanging greetings remyr lightly patted Adele who was nudging closer and closer to remyr, her happy smile gave a much more lively atmosphere that normal, the four of them got into a luxurious carriage with the coat of arms of Ashewood Duckdom driven by Sebastian surrounded by Knight order on horses protecting them.
While on the carriage ride, remyr made small talks with his family, arriving at the busy market, they received lot of attention, but only some high nobles were brave enough to approach them.
Shopping for his dresses took a long time, remyr has given some style preferences and the tailor took his measurements and after that what remyr was interested in was magic artifacts and books pertaining to basics of magic and history, though he could have found these at the mansion's library he wanted to take some with him thus he bought a few and he also bought the best available staf, though to his dismay his mother told him that the academy may have some restrictions for artifacts, even though she said that, she refrained from speaking more about the academy saying that every graduates from Dreadwood are forbidden from speaking the workings of the academy to others.
This made remyr more confused but he didn't ask further.
While they were shopping he kept an eye on what siblings are interested in, to his surprise he found out that Adele was eying magic enchanted swords while Tristan was asking glances at his staff. Since artifacts are forbidden, he gifted the staff to Tristan who showed some hesitation but accepted at the end, for Adele he bought the sword that she kept eying, Remyr didn't understood why his sister who is a prodigy in magic was eying a sword but seeing the twinkle in her eyes was all the confirmation he needed.
Remyr bought some jwellery for his mother as well, she was moved to tears but he felt awkward that he's spending her money to buy gift for her. He also bought an artifact that cleans the air and gives calming effect to its surroundings for his father.
On the way back, Adele was sticking to him and fell asleep. 'maybe she associate's me to a teddy bear' he mused. Remyr quickly dispersed that thought as a desire to get fit flashed in his eyes.
After returning to the mansion, remyr was engrossed in reading some books on magic in the library as his memories of reading it were obsolete due to his negligence in that topic.
