Klara's POV
Definitely my ears aren't as sharp as Jake's, he heard their discussion distances away from them.
I guessed the moment his aura changed from normal to pissed.
Slowly, I got used to Jake's uneven temper, which stemmed from his personality disorder.
All of the pack members fell on their feet, some fainted and I gasped in shock. 'Wow, that powerful?' I mouthed to myself secretly.
He inched closer to them, as they all held their breath.
"Point of correction, I now have a mate." Alpha Jake announced, his aura terrifying.
They all nodded like a chicken pecking at rice, they stared at me, like though I was an existence that needed to be punished.
From the high platform I was standing at, I saw a woman holding a kid, the kid looked about eight or so.
The kid was struggling to breathe like the others, while the mother, despite her own discomfort, tried to make him feel better, knowing for a fact that it was not possible.
Jake stood high above the pack members, staring at them condescendingly.
That feeling of wanting to protect even if you aren't comfortable… I know that feeling.
My mother once held me like that, I blinked away my tears and turned to Jake.
"Jake, that kid is hurting." Jake turned his head towards me like he was shocked by my words and his gaze held a gentle light.
"I'll listen to you." Jake kissed my forehead dotingly.
Everyone gasped all the more. Some members felt dissatisfied with my presence, while only a few of them looked relieved from the pain his aura caused them earlier.
Jake kissing me caused most of the female pack members to hiss in jealousy.
While I looked at Jake, I noticed two people staring at me weirdly.
"Meet Felix, the head Beta of the Lion's Claw Pack." Jake introduced me to them.
Felix wanted to shake hands with me, but Jake suddenly growled dangerously causing Felix to inch backwards, raising his arms above his head in surrender.
"Hi, I'm Klara Silvador." I stared into his eyes but he looked away.
"Nice to meet you." His words were half assed.
I shrugged my shoulders, I don't think I care about it though.
"This is Richard Ricardo, head Omega of the Lion's Claw Pack."
"Mmm. Nice to meet you Klara." Richard greeted warmly. He has this gentle and caring aura, while Felix has this calm, loyal and ruthless aura.
