My thoughts were abruptly interrupted when the boat suddenly began to shake violently, and the nature of the surrounding waters changed drastically. The water started to rise, and a massive bubble emerged from the depths of the ocean. Enlil slowly opened his eyes and saw the water reacting unnaturally. The boat was swaying violently, while the water around it moved rapidly as if expressing its anger.
Gradually, shadows rose from the depths, and a giant beast resembling a shark appeared. The beast swam at an immense speed, its massive body spanning the distance between it and the boat. The beast roared with a thunderous sound, causing the water to tremble and raising waves around the boat. The boat rocked violently from the force of the waves, and some of its wooden planks cracked under the pressure.
Upon seeing the beast, I recognized it immediately; I had studied it at the academy. It was known as the "Evil Spirit Orc." It appeared to be a hundred thousand years old, and combining my knowledge of it from the novel, it seemed to be the same beast that Tang San had slain during one of the Sea God's trials and which had become his ring.
As the beast approached, it opened its wide mouth to reveal its sharp fangs and unleashed a destructive water attack on the boat. Enlil moved swiftly, utilizing his spatial ability for instantaneous movement. He disappeared from his position and reappeared elsewhere, avoiding the attack's path. However, the water assault still had an impact, creating a massive wave that shook the boat severely. Water splashed onto the sides of the boat, and Enlil felt the vibrations intensify beneath his feet.
The battle continued fiercely, with Enlil maneuvering quickly, avoiding the beast's destructive water attacks while retaliating with his skills. He used his spatial technique with a simple hand gesture, but it seemed that the Orc King sensed the attack. Although the spatial attack inflicted only minor scratches, it provided Enlil with a crucial moment to assess the situation. The beast attacked relentlessly, and Enlil struggled to evade its powerful assaults.
Thanks to his precise manipulation of spiritual power, Enlil walked on the water's surface, aligning with the beast's movements. The water quivered beneath his feet, making it challenging to maintain balance. He used his temporal ability to slow down the beast's movements, making its attacks appear slower. However, the effects were not long-lasting and required a significant amount of his energy. Enlil felt growing exhaustion with each use of his abilities.
As the beast withdrew after an attack, it began to gather energy for another water assault. Enlil employed his temporal techniques to increase his speed, allowing him to move faster and dodge the attacks. He leaped into the air, leveraging his new abilities, and then descended forcefully onto the beast's body. Despite his efforts, his attacks were insufficient to kill the beast, which continued to defend itself with great strength.
Realizing that his current skills were not enough to end the battle, Enlil had spent nearly an hour in combat. Exhaustion was evident on his face, and he was struggling to keep up. The relentless strength of the beast demanded a more potent response. It was time to use his strongest asset.
When Uchiha Enlil activated the first stage of Susanoo, his Sharingan eyes glowed brightly with intense light, and he felt a strong pressure in his eyes. A transparent and incomplete Susanoo appeared around him, covering only the upper part of his body with an enormous arm and sword. The light from Susanoo illuminated the surrounding water, causing it to shimmer under the immense power.
With intense focus, Enlil directed Susanoo to strike with its massive sword directly at the Evil Spirit Orc's head. The sword moved with skill and agility, aiming to sever the beast's head. In a moment of relative calm, Enlil delivered a powerful final blow, piercing the beast's head decisively. Light and blood scattered underwater, and slowly, a red Soul Ring appeared above the dead beast. The ocean's waters began to calm gradually as the slain beast vanished from existence.
Enlil took a few minutes to ensure there were no lingering threats. The water around him settled, and the boat became more stable after the vibrations ceased. He took a deep breath, checking his physical condition and ensuring his injuries were not severe. The effects of the battle were apparent on his face, with exhaustion clearly showing and sweat dripping from his brow.
He hurried to store the Evil Spirit Orc's corpse before it attracted other beasts and made some preparations before finally starting to absorb the Soul Ring.
After three days...
I finally succeeded in absorbing the Soul Ring, and there was both good and bad news.
Let's start with the bad news: my expectations were incorrect, and I did not acquire Susanoo as I had hoped. It seems I need to wait for the seventh Soul Ring to achieve that.
The good news is somewhat surprising; it appears I have not just two skills and Susanoo as I previously thought, but three eye techniques in addition to Susanoo. It seems that the third technique combines the previous time and space skills. The real shock is that I used this technique to transition to this world; when I was in danger, I activated it automatically, and now I have answers to many questions that troubled me about my transition to another world.
However, activating this technique requires strict conditions and rules, and there is a limited number of times I can use it. Therefore, I decided to disregard this technique for now.
I also noticed that my vision had weakened slightly, and I thought I should wait until I got the seventh ring before using Susanoo again. I do not know if there is another herb that might help my eyes. Until now, I have only used Susanoo for some surprise attacks that no one anticipated, so the battles ended easily. Nevertheless, my vision has become weaker, and I do not want to imagine the exhaustion if I used it in a long battle.
I set aside these concerns and continued my journey to Poseidon Island.
