Leilei spoke casually, but Ji Yunhuan felt a pang in her heart. Sometimes neglecting things was a sign of irresponsibility. Taking advantage of the mealtime, Ji Yunhuan said to her, "Even if they aren't here, you should still go to school."
"I don't want to go."
"Why?"
"School is not fun."
"..."
Seeing Leilei like this, Ji Yunhuan felt helpless. Yet her heart ached for her.
Halfway through the meal, Qi Cheng's mother came over and asked Leilei, "Are you full?"
Leilei shook her head.
Qi Cheng's mother glanced at Ji Yunhuan, "I'm going back. If Leilei likes it here, let her stay. I'll have someone pick her up tonight."
Ji Yunhuan looked at Leilei and nodded, "Okay."
Qi Cheng's mother added, "Take good care of Qi Cheng. Since you married him, you should act like a wife. Stop doing unreliable things every day; you're not a seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl anymore."
It was evident she did not trust Ji Yunhuan very much.
Ji Yunhuan nodded.
