Shirley Miller's eyes were slightly red, but other than that, her expression seemed quite normal.
Clearly, Shirley Miller had adjusted her emotions during the time Carson Flores went to cook the noodles.
"Let's eat in the study."
"Okay!"
The two entered the study and sat down opposite each other at the desk.
Shirley Miller actually hadn't eaten much that evening either, and after being frightened, she was now extremely hungry. Eating the bowl of hot and spicy noodles, she felt a deliciousness she had never experienced before.
Carson Flores ate quickly, polishing off a large bowl of noodles in no time and taking a big gulp of the soup. He put down his chopsticks, feeling completely satisfied.
Feeling full and content, Carson Flores subconsciously reached for his cigarettes and lighter. Just as he was about to light one, he remembered Shirley Miller sitting opposite him. He paused and put down the lighter.
Shirley Miller said softly, "Go ahead and smoke, it's fine."
"Okay."
