"Carson, that's the spirit!"
Raelynn Howell's eyes lit up as she gave Carson Flores a thumbs-up, then expertly ordered from the server, "A box of beer, chilled."
Carson laughed and said, "I don't mind the drinking, but I'm only responsible for safety, not for taking you home. So control how much you drink. If you pass out, don't blame me if I toss you into a ditch."
Raelynn chuckled, "I can hold my liquor very well. If you don't believe me, ask Rebecca. I've never been drunk."
Once the dishes arrived, everyone clinked glasses and started eating.
Carson had decided to just eat and drink without interfering in the girls' conversation, but he had clearly miscalculated. Both Rebecca Ward and Raelynn Howell were very interested in him.
Raelynn kept clinking glasses with Carson as she inquired about his job. Carson just spun tales, making Rebecca laugh gleefully.
