After two days of frantic flight, Carson had put a considerable distance between them and the Eternal Tombfield. The spiritual imprint on Lilianna had been erased by Cristopher Hopkins, so it should be impossible for anyone to track them down.
"Fairy, thank you for coming to my rescue. If it hadn't been for you, I would probably be dead," he said.
The arm resting on Carson's shoulder moved its fingers, a gesture of acknowledgment.
Carson had many questions in his mind. He took out some paper and a pen and placed them on a small square table.
