Chapter 28 - Chapter 28.

"So, well... my mom had a younger brother who loved playing soccer. He stayed with us for some years with his son who was my age. During that time he loved training in the field with his ball."

"I didn't understand what he was always doing because it looked super weird, he was only juggling the ball and trying to dribble his son, he loved teaching his son how to play soccer. I wasn't the type of kid who loved associating with others due to some personal reason."

"I wasn't that acquinted with his son at first but then one day when I was reading outside the house he hit the ball on my head mistakenly while playing alone."

THEN:

"Oh, am really sorry, I didn't mean to." He said standing few meters away from me.

*Aah, it hurts.* I thought picking up the ball and throwing it back to him.

"Thanks."

"Please ve careful next time." I said walking into the house.

NOW:

"And that was the first time I ever touched a ball."

*Wait a minute, does she need to hear all the details.* I thought looking at her smiling.

"Huh?" I asked as she looked away.

"Am sorry, It was just a good story, I want to hear everything." She said as I looked away.

"My story isn't a fun one, you won't want to hear anything." I said, my hand on my lip.

"I want to hear it, if that's okay by you." She said.

"Okay okay, I'll continue." I said looking away.

"S-so, there was this day----"

THEN:

I was on my way to buy some stuff my mom asked me to help her buy from the store.

As I walked down, I saw the kid in a field dragging his ball away from another kid.

"Hey, let's play, don't be so greedy, let's be friends." One of the guys said as the pushed him.

"No, that ball belongs to my dad, I won't give it to you." He said as blood came out of his wounded leg.

*What are they doing to him? And why don't he just share with them, it's not like they want to steal the ball. Those guys are bad news, he wouldn't want to get into trouble cause of a ball.* I thought going in another direction.

"No! The ball is special to I and dad, I won't let you take it away." He said sobbing.

*How is it so important?* I thought looking at the ball he held close to himself.

*Am not particularly doing this for him, I just want to know what's with the ball.* I thought running towards him when one of the boys tried to hit him again.

"Stop it!!" I shouted running infront of him.

"Huh?! Oh it's the kid with the weird hair." One of them said laughing.

"Don't touch him, he's my cousin." I said.

"A-Atsushi." He called trying to stand.

"Who cares about that, we just want to play with your ball." He said walking towards us as I threw sand on his face.

"Let's run for it, Akatsuki-kun." I said dragging him with me.

"H-hey!!!" They shouted running towards us.

"Hey, watch this." He said dropping the ball and kicking it with all the force he could muster.

"They'll get the..."

"Ouch!!!" One of them shouted as the ball rolled back to us.

I was too shocked as to how the ball went high and hit the other boy.

"Let's go, Atsushi-kun." He said smiling while dragging me with him.

NOW:

"I was bewildered, it was just too cool. That was when I thought, I'd really want to try this."

"Heh...?"

"When we got home, he hugged me and thanked me for my help. From that day, he started asking me to come play with him, we'll, ibjust learned to pass from him, and also how to tackle. His dad was glad that I had taken a liking to it and decided to teach me to play, that's how I learnt the moves, he thought me that." I said smiling.

"He usually told me never to let the ball out of my sight, that I should always try to figure out the field, he always told I and his son to collect the ball from him but used different moves to go past us, I loved those moves and decided to learn all of them."

"Well, he left few years later and I parted ways with my first friend until we reunited just recently."

"Huh? That was awesome." She said smiling.

"Not quite, I just wish I can meet my uncle again." I said.

"That's cool." She said.

"So, what about you? What were you doing back in our world?" I asked.

"Oh, well, I was just a normal student, we'll I was in the basketball club, see it's totally different from soccer." She said smiling.

"Oh, I wanted to play that a while back, it looked cool, did you love it?" I asked as she looked away.

"Yeah, it was." She said.

*Hmm, somethings definitely not right.* I said looking at her.

"Whoa, it's already late, let's go in." I said as she nodded.

"Yeah." She said as we walked out.

*No more excited, something's definitely wrong.* I thought looking at her from the corner of my eyes.

"Well then goodnight." I said waving at her as she walked into her room.

*Back to bed.* I thought walking into my room and lying on my bed.
