(POV General)
While Megan tried entering Josh's mind. Josh himself was attending to a surprise guest within his cortex.
"Oh? You can just call me the Upside-Down man. Pleasure to meet ya."
Josh was utterly confused and terrified to find such a creature inside his head of all places wondering what had caused this figure to appear.
"ya know it's rude to not introduce yourself but I couldn't care less who you are."
The entity known only as the Upside-down man was a being made purely of magical energy within the elements of Dark Magic.
His counterpart Hecate was the embodiment of Light Magic. And his sworn enemy were upon eye contact they attack each other upon the mere second of appearing on the same plain.
And as if it was God's plan a blinding light appeared over shining Josh's memories with its light.
The figure of light had a womanly figure. Soon the light dissipated revealing her clothing and skin which symbolized gold as Hecate's main fashion choice and skin tone.
"Oh? Why are you here?"
Hecate sent a questionable glare towards the Upside-down man whose upside-down smile turned straight to a frown upon Hecate's arrival.
"That doesn't concern you old fucking hag."
Upside-down man was the first to start the banter between the magical gods while Josh had stood there in horror as to why these two beings were inside his mind.
Several questions aroused Josh's mind. As to why they were here? Did they pose a threat? And most importantly What do they want?
"Silence!!!"
A booming voice surrounded the three confused proprietors Josh's mind stood still and confused by the new voice that resounded inside his head.
Thankfully this didn't continue as a new light appeared in the center of them. This light was a Sapphire blue soon revealing a wisp of light.
Both magical entities were stunned by an existence they didn't know of. Hecate wanted to observe but the Upside-down man was furious through the order he was given and screamed in rage and attacked.
"HOW DARE YOU!!!"
The Upside-down man fired a black beam of magic by opening his mouth shooting it not caring for the cortex he was firing in.
The wisp made a sound like a person snapping their fingers sending another Sapphire blue light enrapturing both the attack and the Upside-down man snapping them away.
Hecate after observing became frightened knowing that the Upside-down man wasn't an easy foe to deal with as she had fought him for millennia.
"Leave."
The wisp spoke to Hecate and not wanting to push her luck immediately left using the same exit as her entrance consuming herself in a golden light and sending herself away.
"Now."
The voice took Josh's attention worrying about what would happen next but what did occur surprised him.
The Sapphire light turned into a small little girl resembling the entirety of the color blue from her Hair, Eyes, and Skin. Everything.
"I would like first to apologize towards you."
The girl spoke in the utmost formal manner further confusing Josh until her next sentence.
"I am the one who sent you here."
Josh didn't know how to express himself showing no emotions which was hard as he was just fearing for his life from all the beings within his mind.
The entity noticed Josh's predicament and began to explain.
"As you already know you died in your last world but due to things I can't explain yet. I had sent you here using your memories of your past life."
Josh instantly looked to the Omnitrix and the Blue Girl nodded her head and continued.
"Yes I sent you here with that to protect yourself but I had to take away some features to make my own adjustments. When you or your world is in danger. Instructions to the feature will imprint themselves into your mind that is all I've come to say."
The girl began to transform back into a Sapphire light and disappeared against Josh's plea for answers, especially towards the one she claimed herself she wouldn't answer.
As he tried to reach out Josh had woken up with sweat dripping down his forehead with several people around him.
Josh looked around finding all his teammates especially Artemis who was holding his hand.
The others around Josh were Batman, Martian Manhunter, Black Canary, and Surprisingly to Josh Red Tornado was there too.
"You're awake!"
Artemis was the first to react hugging the sweating Josh. While he did reciprocate the hug everyone just stared at the two of them.
Artemis didn't care for the stares while Josh hadn't fully awoken yet he was still in a daze softly speaking to anyone who could listen.
"What happened?"
"During the mission, you experienced more telepathic trauma than the rest of the team in addition to the electricity the enemy shot inside you with."
Batman was the first to speak while Josh's teammates simply spoke to him trying to see if he was alright.
"Dude you were out like crazy!"
"Indeed you were."
"It's good you're alright."
"I was very underwhelmed but then I felt the Aster when you woke up."
Robin was the last to speak catching a soft chuckle from Josh as he smiled but that soon faded as Batman spoke.
"You are to take a week to recuperate for that time. That is all."
Batman walked away Leaving everyone to talk and comfort each other. Red Tornado soon followed after addressing Josh was all right. Black Canary was the last to leave waving away to the kids before leaving via Zeta Tube.
The team stayed together for a while until it was just Josh and Artemis who became too shy around each other to speak.
After five minutes of what felt like years, Josh finally spoke softly.
"We…should go-"
"Yes!"
Before Josh could finish his sentence Artemis had already agreed making Josh chuckle again.
After that, they both chatted to each other like normal. While in another location Psimon was reporting of his failure towards his masters.
"I see. Show us the way of transportation."
A screen behind Psimon turned on showing a set of white rings in a line and from its appearance a loud booming sound was heard followed by the Spheroid that was shot out.
"At least our partner has a secure way of sending us this promised technology he spoke of."
This new voice was a woman with a seductive way of speaking who watched this video approved of its contents and then addressed Psimon.
"You may leave."
Psimon simply bowed and left leaving all the screens on who all began to talk about these small-time hero sidekicks they somehow gotten entangled with but the main focus was on Shift.
"Zhis specimen is one of the greatest pieces of DNA I've come across I need more!"
"I agree my scientists discovered its origin to be alien-made which would hurt to have as a weapon against our 'Benefactor' in case the unspeakable happens."
Everyone continued to speak about their ideas requiring this valuable asset but all became silent as the next voice spoke.
"Brain how is Project: DOWNFALL?"
"Zhe sample has matured but requires further testing before it can be used at most I believe it can be used in a year two at most."
The voice seemed at peace and smiled from his side of the screen and then closed the meeting there as he himself wondered on what this Shift was capable of.
