"Oh? From your tone, I think I understand," Kaito said, sounding a bit surprised.
"But what I didn't expect is that Ryūchi Cave had the audacity to tell you those secrets."
"Hehe, the White Snake Sage doesn't have that kind of audacity," Orochimaru chuckled. "Unfortunately, Ryūchi Cave is not as unified as it seems."
"Is that so? It seems Ryūchi Cave is more complicated than Mount Myōboku," Kaito casually remarked.
"Mount Myōboku, huh? From the stories I've heard, the Great Toad Sage is indeed more shrewd than the White Snake Sage," Orochimaru agreed.
Kaito asked directly, "So, who in Ryūchi Cave is collaborating with you?"
"Shinya," Orochimaru said without any hesitation. "The White Snake Sage and the three Snake Princesses want to remain neutral, and Shinya even had a conflict with them over this."
"Shinya? Hold on."
In the lab, Kaito pulled out a scroll from his sleeve and quickly unrolled it.
"I see, according to the records, Shinya was the strongest among the snakes when they were close to transforming into dragons. It was attacked by the White Snake and had its reverse scale stolen because it opposed surrendering to the Ōtsutsuki."
The communication paper figure on the table curved into a large smile, and Orochimaru's voice came through.
"It seems Kaito-kun knows more than I expected."
"Not at all," Kaito rested his elbow on the low table, propping his chin with his hand. "So, did Shinya ask Orochimaru-senpai to relay any messages to me?"
"Shinya wants to establish direct contact with Kaito-kun," Orochimaru said. "After all, it has few subordinates in Ryūchi Cave and is under the watch of the White Snake Sage and the three Snake Princesses. It can only rely on me to pass on its messages."
While recording something with a brush, Kaito continued, "I understand. Sasuke, please hand over a few of the communication paper figures to Orochimaru-senpai."
In the dense forest, Sasuke, hearing Kaito's instructions, took out a few small paper figures from his ninja pouch and threw them toward Orochimaru.
Orochimaru's eyes lit up as he caught them effortlessly, examining them closely.
Sasuke reminded him, "The communication paper figures need natural energy to activate, and they can be reused as long as they're not damaged."
The small paper figure in Sasuke's palm opened its mouth, continuing to transmit Kaito's voice.
"Actually, what I'm more curious about is what conditions Shinya offered to Orochimaru-senpai."
"Hehe, speaking of that, I might need Kaito-kun's help," Orochimaru said, his gaze moving away from the paper figure in his hand, licking his lips with his tongue.
"Oh? Is there something that requires my assistance?" Kaito asked with interest.
"Human life is too fragile," Orochimaru said with a fanatical tone. "I have always been pursuing eternal life."
"I see," Kaito understood the hint. "Immortality may be impossible, but extending life is not too difficult."
Orochimaru became completely excited. "Exactly. Although I have obtained a reincarnation jutsu, it also comes with significant drawbacks. Since learning of the existence of yokai, I have decided to abandon my human identity."
Sasuke's eyes widened in surprise as he spoke, "Orochimaru, you want to become a yokai?"
"That's right, Sasuke-kun," Orochimaru confirmed. "Yokai possess long lifespans, which is precisely what I seek."
On the other side, Kaito was also a bit surprised. He frankly reminded Orochimaru, "Orochimaru-senpai, although yokai have relatively long lives, their power is limited by their natural talent, and their growth is extremely slow."
"I believe I can become a powerful yokai," Orochimaru said confidently.
He continued, "However, since I've decided to stand on Kaito-kun's side, there's something I'd like your help with."
Seeing that Orochimaru had made up his mind, Kaito didn't try to persuade him further but instead addressed Orochimaru's request.
"Go ahead."
"According to the information I received, it seems that Kaito-kun has already sealed the Shinigami," Orochimaru raised his hands. "Before that, my hands' souls were sealed in the Shinigami's belly by Sensei."
"Is that so?" Kaito said with interest. "Please wait a moment, Orochimaru-senpai."
"Sasuke, the paper figure clone."
At Kaito's words, Sasuke once again used his two fingers to take out a slightly larger paper figure from his ninja pouch. He infused it with natural energy and then tossed it into the air.
The paper figure quickly expanded, taking on the appearance of Kaito, and gently floated to the ground.
"Orochimaru-senpai," Kaito walked over to Orochimaru with a smile, "shall we meet in person?"
"As expected, I can't hide anything from Kaito-kun," Orochimaru's body turned into soil, and his figure emerged from behind a distant tree.
Kaito squinted slightly as he looked at Orochimaru and said, "I see. It seems the Shinigami cut your soul, and without my knowledge, I sent all the souls in the Shinigami's belly back to the Pure Land."
Orochimaru approached, still wearing a cold smile as he replied to Kaito, "The Pure Land? Although it's separated by yin and yang, I imagine that wouldn't be an obstacle for Kaito-kun, would it?"
"It certainly wouldn't be a problem for me," Kaito said as a Hinoki fan suddenly appeared in his hand, which he gently waved. "However, since Orochimaru-senpai has already expressed his intention to stand by my side, I'm sure you wouldn't mind if I added a layer of insurance, would you?"
Orochimaru's expression changed slightly as he stared intently at Kaito, "Kaito-kun is indeed cautious."
"I have no choice," Kaito sighed, pretending to be helpless. "After all, what I'm about to do is something that can't tolerate carelessness. I'm sure you is already aware of that."
Orochimaru laughed excitedly again, "Indeed, after all, our enemy is that Rabbit Goddess."
"Sasuke, the alliance contract," Kaito smiled and extended his empty left hand.
'Here we go again, I'm just a tool, after all!'
Standing on the tree, Sasuke snorted coldly, throwing a small scroll into Kaito's hand.
Without turning around, Kaito handed the scroll directly to Orochimaru.
"Orochimaru-senpai, take a look. Once you sign your name, we can begin our sincere cooperation."
Orochimaru stared at Kaito for a few seconds, then several poisonous snakes shot out from his sleeve, took the scroll, and opened it.
He glanced at the contents of the scroll and then stared into Kaito's eyes again.
"Kaito-kun really is well-prepared."
Kaito smiled elegantly.
"This is just to be safe. Once the contract is signed, both I and Orochimaru-senpai can feel at ease."
"Hehehehe... I understand."
Orochimaru let out a strange laugh, withdrew his gaze, and immediately bit his tongue, signing his name with his flexible tongue.
A blue light flashed across the contract scroll, and it returned to its original state in an instant.
Orochimaru examined it again, then had the snakes roll up the scroll and toss it back.
Kaito caught it, nodded, and said, "I will now retrieve your hands for you, Orochimaru-senpai."
