"Are you ready?" Kaito, now enveloped in a golden mist from successfully communicating with Ryūmyaku, looked back at Shion.
Shion took a deep breath to calm her nerves and nodded towards Kaito.
"Then let's lift the seal." Kaito stepped aside.
With a serious expression, Shion stepped forward to face the stone door covered in talismans.
She took another deep breath, formed hand seals, and began chanting an obscure incantation.
The sound of stone cracking filled the air as the talismans on the stone door began to fall off, and a faint blue glow emerged from the crack between the two stone doors.
As the talismans completely fell off, Kaito stepped forward to stand in front of Shion and pushed open the stone door.
A musty, decayed scent greeted them. Kaito raised his sleeve to cover his nose and mouth, keeping his eyes fixed on the interior of the stone door.
From the pitch-black space within, a mass of dark purple energy began to surge out.
Mōryō's voice echoed: "Who has awakened me?"
Prepared, Kaito immediately summoned Ryūmyaku Lock, pulling the Box of Ultimate Bliss from the ground, positioning the Face of Wrath towards the stone door.
"Mōryō! It's time for you to return to your origin!"
With Kaito's hands clasped together, the Face of Wrath detached from the Box of Ultimate Bliss, revealing a monstrous head that opened its jaws wide.
"What?!"
Mōryō's voice was no longer composed, but filled with furious rage.
"Submit, Mōryō."
The golden Ryūmyaku Lock and the purple mist from the Box of Ultimate Bliss intertwined, reaching towards Mōryō.
"Curse you!!"
Mōryō's spirit suddenly split into tendrils, snaking out from the stone door like venomous snakes, aiming for Shion.
"Shion! Become one with me!"
Shion's eyes widened in terror, her body frozen in place.
"Ryūmyaku Protection!"
Kaito's voice rang out, and a golden light formed a translucent spherical shield around Shion.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Mōryō's spirit collided with the golden shield, producing loud crashing sounds.
Shion clasped her hands to her chest, looking at Kaito with lingering fear.
"Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you, Shion." Kaito didn't turn around, but his voice was filled with certainty.
"Thank you, Kaito-kun." Shion couldn't help but relax.
The golden chains and purple mist from the Box of Ultimate Bliss continued to entwine Mōryō's spirit, dragging it towards the box's interior.
Mōryō, however, continued to struggle fiercely.
"As expected, you're much tougher than Zero-Tails, Mōryō." Kaito summoned more Ryūmyaku Locks.
"Don't compare me to that worthless being!" Mōryō roared furiously, "You will not succeed!"
As soon as Mōryō finished speaking, an invisible force rapidly spread throughout the underground space.
"This is bad! Kaito-kun, it's trying to awaken the terracotta soldiers!" Shion's anxious voice rang out.
The sound of stone cracking echoed continuously as fragments fell off the terracotta soldiers scattered throughout the underground palace.
As the soldiers were fully revealed, countless pairs of red eyes lit up.
The sound of synchronized footsteps grew louder as the soldiers, wielding various weapons, advanced towards Kaito and Shion.
...
Outside the underground palace, Gurē sat idly on the stone steps, munching on jerky.
He glanced back at the sounds coming from the underground palace, muttering, "Kaito sure knows how to make a scene, always causing such a commotion."
At that moment, the sound of wind cutting through the air made Gurē look up. He saw a man in black leading four men in white robes, jumping down from the cliff.
After landing, Huang Quan ignored Gurē and the palace guards, ordering his men, "Kill them."
"Yes, Lord Huang Quan!"
"Hmph, I'm feeling a bit bored anyway."
Sensing the incoming killing intent, Gurē flipped up, his hands forming claws that slashed through the air, sending semi-transparent wind blades towards the intruders.
The men skillfully dodged the wind blades, and two white-robed men stepped forward to engage.
"Fire Style: Flowing Flame!"
"Wind Style: Divine Wind!"
The two different nature transformations combined, creating a massive fire tornado that swept towards Gurē.
"Damn! I'm not good against fire!" Gurē muttered, troubled by the approaching flames.
A giant owl appeared, flapping its broad wings to create a gust that pushed the fire tornado back towards its origin.
...
Facing the encroaching terracotta soldiers, Shion involuntarily stepped back, moving closer to Kaito.
"Do you think you can rule the world with these toys, Mōryō?" Kaito's mocking voice rang out.
"Arrogant!" Mōryō seemed to regain his confidence, "My immortal army, kill them!"
"What should we do, Kaito-kun?" Shion was thoroughly panicked as the heavy footsteps drew nearer, "If these monsters escape the underground palace, the Land of Demons will be..."
"Don't worry, Shion." Kaito's voice remained calm as two white lights flew from his sleeves.
"Senior Izuna, Miss Chiri, you've had enough rest, haven't you?"
Following the white lights, Shion saw two small paper figures hovering in the air.
"Hmph, you can handle this on your own, can't you?"
Izuna's voice sounded as the two paper figures grew larger, quickly transforming into two young ninja, a man and a woman.
"Hahaha..." Kaito chuckled dryly, "I'm a bit preoccupied, so I need your help."
"Don't worry, Kaito-kun." Chiri smiled and nodded.
Izuna glared at Chiri and said, "This kid just wants to slack off!"
Kaito then made another request, "Miss Chiri, leave this to Senior Izuna. There are some unexpected guests outside, and I'm worried Gurē can't handle them alone. Please assist at the entrance."
"I understand." Chiri responded, her figure disappearing instantly.
"Tch." Izuna looked annoyed at the endless terracotta soldiers, "So I have to fight these boring things."
"Please, Senior Izuna, just hold them off for a while." Kaito's voice was full of gratitude.
"Following you never leads to anything good." Izuna complained, but remained firmly by Kaito and Shion's side.
"Susanoo." A massive skeletal form appeared, raising its hands to strike the terracotta soldiers.
...
Outside the underground palace, Gurē, using his large form, barely kept Huang Quan and his men at bay, though he suffered multiple injuries.
Sensing the commotion from within the palace, Huang Quan's men attacked with increasing ferocity.
"Damn, isn't Kaito done yet?" Gurē felt he couldn't hold out much longer.
Just then, two sharp flashes of light cut through, and two of Huang Quan's men fell, clutching their throats in terror.
"Good job, Gurē." Uchiha Chiri, wielding two swords, appeared in front of Gurē.
