Officer Xin and Korinn enter the room. Their eyes take notice of everything in the room, the papers that were scatted, the desks that were pushed aside, blood from the teacher spewed across the floor and on the white board, me on the window seal, and the teacher face down in his own blood. Xin soundlessly walks over to the man before flipping him over. Once she does, I can see her eyes twinge a little.
The Teacher's Upper Jaw, Nose, and parts of each cheekbone, were a little more concave than they should be. Maybe five millimeters back. She stands up, asking, "Why didn't you call an ambulance?"
I raise my head a little, "I don't know standard procedure."
"Hagh, How long has he been like this?"
Glance to the clock before looking back, "Ten minutes."
She doesn't ask anything again, instead choosing to use her Gi to stem the bleeding. After a minute, it probably stops.
While in his punch-drunk stupor, the Teacher whispers, "Qui stret."
Everyone in the room hears his words, allowing me to ask, "What's Qui street?"
Korinn responds instead of Xin, "It's a street in the industrial sector, warehouses only on the lane. Thought it's now only used for drugs and other illicit substances."
"Cool, where is it?"
He gives me a funny look, "You're not thinking of going there, right? If this is a hostage scenario then they'll likely have guns or something similar. No matter how good you are, you can't dodge bullets. And why should I even tell you where it is? You're a civ-"
Xin interrupts, "It's in the Low North-Eastern section. You'll see a hundred fifty meter crane that'll serve as a landmark."
"Wait, you're not seriously thinking of having him go there? He's not an officer, he'll probably die!"
Xin looks Korinn in the eyes which cases him to take a step back, "We take too long to get warrants and get there."
Korinn counters her argument, "But he's a civilian, he has no fighting experience. If ANYONE there has Gi, then he'll die!"
She smirks and Korinn, "You haven't been following the Hunters, have you? Choehabu is certainly good enough," she then looks at me, "go."
I give her a nod, open up the window and am about to step outside when I stop and ask, "Can you two watch over Ryung? I don't want him getting hurt or worse."
They both nod and say, "We serve and protect."
I step out the window and start sprinting. From the maps I've seen, the city is seven hundred kilometers in all directions, and seeing as how I'm closer into the center, it's going to take a while. My fingers snap seven times and the deep crimson haze surrounds me, forcing legs and feet to move faster, stronger.
The buildings and streets slowly lose their pristine look as I head further north, going from the Middle to the Lower section. The brown of dirt and grime creeps up on the streets, buildings, and even people, most of whom are watching this man sprinting at the speed of a car.
Over four hours, I run, never slowing, never faltering. The sun is just starting to set when I eventually see the landmark crane and pivot off the main street.
The closer to the industrial sector, the more gangs and crime adjacent things happen, someone getting mugged, a street fight, even an attempted murder. The last one is stopped by other men in the area but this place isn't safe.
The amount of men going from work to home and home to work slowly decreases until it's none, and I'm at Qui Street. There are large warehouses reaching ten meters into the air, reeking of stagnation and despair. I check the first door, and get no answer. Heading inside, I see nothing out of the sort, just old, rusted machinery that would take a miracle to work again.
I exit the warehouse and check the next one, same thing. Another warehouse, and another, and another, all the same, all without anything leading to Hana. I'm at the final three and she's not here. Was it a fool's errand, is Hana not here? First one, no, Second one no!
My thoughts slowly turn into horrifying worry as I check the last one. I go to open the door but it won't open. The door's eye slit, that I didn't even know about, opens, "Who is it?"
Everything tenses for a moment before going back to normal. Calming down my beating heart, I say "It's Ryver."
The Eye Slit closes and after half a minute, opens again, "Scram, we have nothing for you.", and then the slit closes.
A sigh leaves my lips and then a question, "Is there a girl in there named Hana?"
In response to my question, I hear multiple locks all going on along with the slamming of Metal over the windows. With another sigh, I get into place. Seven snaps, a kick, and a loud *BOOM!!* occurs.
The door goes flying off its hinges into the guy. Stepping inside and looking at the blood on the floor and wall, probably killed the doorman. An alarm blares through the warehouse, red flashes lighting it up. Stepping through the door and into the warehouse, I'm met with a large expansive room, maybe twenty by thirty, and also seventeen men, all of which have some kind of melee weapon.
Two of them are at the back are transporting a girl with a back over her head. My mind goes blank, and the Red takes over my vision. In a single bound I'm on the first man. My leap sends him sprawling to the ground while I elbow him twice. Foam comes from his mouth and I stand.
The men break from their stupor and rush me. The first three are all above six feet, wielding either a claw hammer, monkey wench, or just a straight up knife. The closest man used his arm like a whip to swing the claw hammer. The head moves through the air while I twist forward. It passes overhead while I give a two legged kick to the poor gentleman's face, which was contorted with surprise and rage. He gets sent flying while his hammer that was nearly flung into the air, is grabbed by me.
No time to worry as the next one is already here, knife in hand. He plants his front foot like a tree before thrusting the knife. It pierces through air as I twirl around it and towards him. Once close enough, my left foot stops the action and the claw part of the hammer is slammed into his temple. The bone is too weak and gives out, fragmenting into his skull while the claw comes out through the eye.
I release the hammer and look to the last man. He's stopped his charge, looking on in fear. Stepping over the corpse and closer to the man, I tell him "Just play dead."
He complies and falls to the ground, hands over head, while I deal with the other men in the room. There were a lot of them, still twelve more. Luckily, most of them had a soft tremble in their eyes and steps.
Being so kind, I give them an ultimatum, "Drop all weapons and get down, hands over head, or I will kill you."
But sadly, my words fall upon deaf ears as the men give a "Hurrah" and charge. A sigh escapes my lips as my eyes search for a weapon. The only one being the knife and claw hammer, or the wench behind me. Too much thinking, as the first one was already here.
He learned from his predecessors and instead chose to kick the midsection. It connects, but is worth less than dirt. His leg gets broken as retaliation and now he's on the ground. Three attack now, all at the same time.
A machete to the head, a kick to the stomach, and golf club to the legs are their goals. Sadly, those goals are unaccomplished as the machete wielder gets disarmed and used as a shield. Even with a shield, the force is slightly transferred. The shield is dropped and in its place, a machete slices through the air. The Kicker gives his scalp and upper skull up as it slides off, blood sprouting upwards like a great fountain before tumbling over.
Golf Club tries another swing but is met by a kick that sends his stomach to his mouth. He falls to the ground, intestines flowing out from not his mouth. Three men down in a near single moment.
The last nine slowed their charge. Then they drop their weapons and run away.
Once they're gone, I throw up. I vomit, I purge everything that was in or could've been in my stomach. The taste of acid lingers on my tongue as I stand up and head through the door that Hana was brought through.
It leads to a hallway that extends for roughly fifteen meters without any other doors. It is when I'm halfway through the hallway, that the end door opens up, and a man with a rifle is seen. Shit.
