Hazel stood facing Carl, a sword on her hands and a frown on her face. It was as if Captain Ford knew her because she wasn't good with swords, while from what she saw, Carl had no problem wilding the heavy weapon. Hazel had always preferred daggers and knives because she didn't need to exert too much energy to use them, but it was different with swords. They were heavy and hard to use.
She sighed again for the umpteenth time as she watched Carl swing his sword from hand to hand easily. He was smiling, the same way he smiled while fighting the giant man and it was no surprise that he was excited for this.
She hadn't had the chance to interact with him, but even then, she already knew he was a great fighter. And Ford had to choose him, off all the other men in the barracks.
She shot him a glare, but the tall man only stared back at her with a taunting smirk. Hazel rolled her eyes and rolled her shoulders back, trying to gather some energy after such a long night.
