Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

After several days of heavy rain, the weather finally cleared up.

During these days, she openly brewed tonics for Qin Lumin and secretly used her abilities to heal him. She had used up all the herbs she had picked earlier and needed to go out and gather more.

Qin Lumin carefully instructed, "The ground is slippery after the heavy rain. You can wait a few days before going out."

Qin Lily said seriously, "No, brother, you can't stop the medicine!"

Qin Lumin felt helpless. It was strange; despite the tonics being ordinary, they really seemed to be helping his legs!

"Just be very careful."

Qin Lily didn't want to go out either, but under the guise of treatment, she had no choice but to go herb picking.

After casually digging up some common tonics, she arrived at a clear pool, the same place where she had drunk water before.

Despite the continuous heavy rain, the pool remained clear and sparkling.

Qin Lily took a sip of the water, feeling its coolness and comfort. As she turned to leave, a blue light shone from the opposite side.

Was that... a gemstone?

Under the sunlight, the blue gemstone emitted a translucent glow.

With a light touch of her toes, Qin Lily leaped across the pool and found that the blue gemstone was embedded in a piece of clothing.

The clothes were placed on a tray, along with other garments.

Qin Lily looked around and muttered, "It seems like there's no one here. Did someone forget these?"

She waited for a while for the owner to return and claim them, but after a long wait, no one came.

After confirming there was no one around, Qin Lily thought the blue gemstone was really beautiful and might be worth a lot of money...

They were currently staying at the temple, and once her brother's injuries healed, they would have to leave the mountain. However, they had no money...

Qin Lily waited for another half hour. When no one returned, she took the small piece of clothing on top, carefully arranged the rest of the clothes, and then left.

After all, if she didn't pick it up, someone else passing by might.

...

The pool remained quiet and still.

Qin Lily had no idea that shortly after she left, a crack silently appeared in the wall of the pool, and a handsome man emerged, stepping into the water.

He was like a deity.

With deep eyes, a high nose, and thin lips, his features were sculpted as if by the hands of a god, more beautiful than any woman yet retaining a strong masculine aura.

He closed his eyes and soaked in the pool for about two minutes. From somewhere, he produced a mask and put it on, the silver mask accentuating the firm lines of his handsome face.

He leaped out of the water and landed beside the tray.

Every move he made was graceful to the extreme.

The tray floated in front of him, and just as he was about to dress, he paused slightly, his sword-like eyebrows furrowing.

"Hmm? Who stole my underwear?"

The sky had barely cleared when it started to rain again.

Qin Lily hurried back to the temple, and before she even entered, she saw a carriage convoy parked in front, evidently seeking shelter from the rain.

"Ouch... ouch, it hurts. When will we get there?" came the groans from inside the carriage.

A guard quickly responded, "Young master, please bear with it a little longer. It's raining heavily now. Once the rain stops, we'll definitely reach Qin Kori's clinic before nightfall. Qin Kori's medical skills are exceptional and will surely cure you."

Qin Lily paused her steps upon hearing this. "Are you all heading to Qin Kori's clinic for treatment?"

The guard looked at her warily. "Who are you? Stay back and don't bother our young master!"

Qin Lily pushed her medicine basket forward and smiled, "I'm just a humble medicine apprentice from Qin Kori's clinic. I've learned a lot from him over the years. It seems the young master is in great pain—would you like me to take a look first?"

Upon hearing that she was from Qin Kori's clinic, the young master in the carriage immediately cried out, "Quick, help me relieve the pain... I'll reward you handsomely... Hurry!"

Since the young master had spoken, the guards no longer stopped her and, together with others, lifted the young master out of the carriage.

The man, around twenty years old, had his face covered. From her angle, Qin Lily saw he was dressed in luxurious clothes, indicating a wealthy background.

His partially concealed body, especially around the abdomen, was abnormally swollen. Without seeing his face, one might think he was a woman about to give birth.

Qin Lily seriously took his pulse for a while, then suddenly furrowed her brows.

She looked at the man lying on the stretcher, then smiled.

"Congratulations, gentlemen! This is a pregnancy pulse."

"..."

The guards all fell silent, then widened their eyes in disbelief. "P-pregnancy pulse?"

Qin Lily smiled again. "That's right, your young master is pregnant."

The young master, still lying on the stretcher, suddenly sat up and glared at Qin Lily in exasperation. "What did you say? Say it again! I'm a man!"

The guards, finding their voices again, also cursed, "Exactly! Open your eyes and look clearly! Our young master is a man! A man!"

How could a man be pregnant?

Surrounded by the fierce-looking guards and the young master burning with anger, Qin Lily remained incredibly calm.

Seeing that the guards were about to beat her up, a little novice monk hurried out and said, "Lady, the abbot requests your presence."

Master Yuanzhen was quite famous in the surrounding cities. The young master had also heard of Master Yuanzhen's reputation, so he suppressed his urge to beat her up and said angrily, "Down the mountain! Go to the clinic now!"

The carriage convoy braved the heavy rain and hurried down the mountain in a fit of rage.

The little novice monk sighed in relief and awkwardly said, "Miss Qin, your medical skills are obviously very good. You can even treat Mr. Lumin's legs. How could you not tell that man was a man and say he was pregnant?"

How could a man be pregnant?!

Qin Lily remained calm. "Don't worry, in less than two days, that person will come back to find me. No one else can cure him."

She wasn't speaking carelessly. There was indeed a life inside that young master's belly, but it wasn't a child—it was a demon flower.
