Chapter 17 - The Tax Dogger

With this in mind, Nimrod knew that Fate did not plan to attend Bloomspire Academy. So the question remains: how to get him to go?

Nimrod thought about it more as he fondled Maria's breasts in a distinctly virgin-like manner. Maria did not even have a flushed face. That's how inexperienced the crown prince is.

Then, like a sign from heaven, an idea hit Nimrod.

"I'm the crown prince. If I command Fate Grimsever to attend the academy, then he has to comply with my demands."

Nimrod took on a smug look at this idea. Nimrod knew that his support from the guards was gone, but not his support from the academy, his father, and the surrounding nobles.

But what Nimrod did not know is this was just the start of Ruby's plans.

Soon, his support from Fate's subordinate nobles will be gone as well. But because Fate is always extremely paranoid and prepared, he takes a more realistic approach to things.

While Nimrod is the typical hero protagonist who is blind to the realities around him, the purge of Fate's guards and soldiers will have a terrifying effect on those nobles who possessed rebellious ideas.

As Ruby and Fate walked around the city, Fate began to consider his situation more in-depth.

With his immortality, Horse-kun will not be able to get him. Now the issue remains: how will Prince Nimrod deal with the loss of his forces in Valoria?

The king also lost his control of Fate's traitorous soldiers. So both the prince and king have lost some of their pawns in The Southern Hampshire Plains. But they both still have the support of the nobility.

With the thoughts of the nobles in mind, Fate said to Ruby,

"Ha, you know sometimes Ruby, it would be great if all of those nobles who support Nimrod would just fall over dead from all of the food they get so fat from eating."

Ruby heard these words and her eyes lit up with an idea. The meeting of lords was coming up in several months, which would require all of the heads of the noble houses to be present in the city of Valoria so that Fate could settle disputes among the nobles, as well as set up the governing agenda for his territory for the following year.

Ruby could use this as an opportunity to kill all of the nobles, and then wipe out the noble houses completely while they were all here.

When Fate and Ruby returned to Shadow Spire Citadel, they were greeted with the sight of several old men hollering at the guards for not being allowed inside.

The sexy female guards looked at these three old men with contempt in their eyes.

When Fate arrived before them, they saluted him, then immediately ignored these old men, assuming that their new lord would handle this situation.

When Fate saw these three men, he knew who they were. The one in the lead with shaggy white hair and wearing a potato sack over his body is Director Lucas Limpton, with two of his teachers along with him. This man is in charge of admissions at Bloomspire Academy.

Fate simply looked at the man with amusement as Lucas started talking.

"Fate Grimsever, how dare you say that you will not be attending classes at Bloomspire Academy, the number one school on the continent of Vale. Fate, you will immediately follow me back to school and attend classes. You will also be living in the dorms like all of the other students."

While Director Lucas Limpton was busy talking, Fate began to think about why this guy was here. It could only be the work of Nimrod, that dumbass prince wanting to use his influence with the academy to put pressure on Fate.

Fate whispered something to Ruby. After he was done, she disappeared for a moment.

Then when Lucas was finally done talking, Fate pretended to clean out his ear with his finger. When Lucas noticed this, he grew enraged. But Fate cut off his rambling by saying,

"Oi, you old decrepit piece of shit. What are you doing coming into my house trying to tell me what to do? Lucas, not only am I a Duke but also your lord."

Lucas was used to having his way since his position as the head of admissions was so prominent. No one has ever been so disrespectful to him before. Even the prince, the man who sent Lucas here, would not dare to treat him as some kind of commoner.

"How dare you say you are my lord! Not only have you shown great disrespect by not attending school, but now you even dare to call yourself my lord. I'm afraid Fate Grimsever that you don't know the immensity of heaven and earth. No one in the kingdom of Westridge can save you from not coming with me today."

As he said this, the two teachers behind him slid up their sleeves, ready to drag Fate along with them today.

Fate looked at these three men in awe. Then he said to Lucas in a surprised tone,

"You three must be tired of living if you think you can use force against me in my city. Didn't any of you see the mountain of corpses in the city on your way here? If you move another step, none of you will leave here alive."

When these two teachers heard Fate's words, they began to pale in horror at this statement. This lunatic is a mass murderer.

At this point, neither of them dared to move. As they were both being suppressed by the killing intent of the guards around them.

This made the three of them surprised. Who the hell are these guards and what happened to the prince's people? But then it all started to make sense Fate killed every person under his command last night and then replaced them with his people.

As Lucas realized all of this, he wondered where the hell Fate obtained such a powerful force of women from.

At this point, Lucas did not dare to continue to be arrogant.

By now Ruby had returned with an amused smile on her face. She was aware of what they wanted to do.

But her lord is by no means a defenseless man.

Fate then retrieved the item he sent Ruby to fetch.

Opening the document, Fate had a big smile on his face. It just so happens that Bloomspire Academy owes Fate about one hundred and fifty years in back taxes.

"Lucas Limpton, now that you have come here, let's discuss the massive debt in taxes that Bloomspire Academy owes to me. All one hundred and fifty years worth."

When Lucas heard this statement, he fainted in shock.

"WHAT TAXES?"
