Deimos kept reading while moving forward.
He only had to follow the story to navigate trough the labyrinth.
Their story continued.
We were the remnants of the once great Asai civilization, we stretched throughout the whole world and beyond.
But times took their toll and the once great Empire crumbled.
The upperclass exploited the lower class, while rebellions kept popping up here and there.
Like most mortal Empires our once great Empire crumbled.
We the Minoans were a offshoot of the royal familie of Asai.
A distant branch familie in charge of the original continent where the Asai originated from.
We were more of ceremonial purpose than a real one.
After the Asai civilization fell into internal striffle we went in seclusion.
The continent we guarded wasn't safe anymore, so we took a world from outerpace.
And refined it into a safe haven for us secluded from the outer world.
While Deimos was reading he kept going down the labyrinth going deeper and deeper coming closer to the bottom.
But our ambition wouldn't let us live our life's in peace.
While we were creating this seperated space.
We encountered a great beast.
While we couldn't take it down or dared to get close we managed to get some blood from this white bull.
It looked like it fought a great battle.
With scars all over its body and fresh white blood flowing out.
We researched this blood hoping to enhance, our strength and genes.
And we succeeded.
We created a great beast both men and bull.
It had the head and legs of a bull while having the upper body of a men.
But it was also our biggest mistake and our biggest failure.
For it did not have a soul.
We played God and got punished for it.
The beast had too great of a strength, we could not kill it.
And it had a appitate for Minoan flesh and blood.
So we build a great labyrinth.
Hoping to trap it.
The only cost was feeding it Minoans on time.
Our tribe had split up, and a group had settled in the seperate space in the city of Athens as the ruling class.
So we decreed on them to sent sacrifices every year to feed the beast.
The only silver lining in this is that we managed to study the beast the Minotaur.
We managed to create a breathing technique to strengthen our body's and making it have the same endurance as it.
You only need it's bloodline to be able to practice it.
But Fred not for that is included in our legacy.
We do not know if the beast is alive yet.
We wish you luck descendant of the Asai.
For it was our undoing but it may be your salvation.
When Deimos finished reading.
He stood before a giant gate.
It was decorated with the Minotaur.
It looked intimidating and made for giants.
But Deimos was not afraid.
He would find the Minotaur and slay it taking it's bloodline and make himself stronger.
But one thing didn't sit right with him.
Wasn't a lot of this story the same as the Minoan civilization back on earth.
No it was the same and the Minotaur was supposed to be slayed by Theseus.
The prince of Athens.
Well I will find out myself.
So Deimos pushed open the door.
Slowly the gates split making room for Deimos to move trough.
It was scarsely lit inside the only source of light was the sun, from far far above ground.
The only other thing limunating were the weird patterns around the room glowing a dim green.
It looked like a giant circuit board of a computer.
In the centre of the room he saw something giant just sitting there.
Deimos walked closer and when he made it to the figure he noticed it was a giant skeleton.
Old dry skin lay on the bones.
It was the Minotaur.
It's bull head nothing more than a skull.
And it's eye sockets empty.
But when Deimos looked closer the saw gnaw marks on the Minotaurs bones.
A chill went though Deimos.
How didn't I notice this sooner.
But before he could put up his vigilance, he saw his perspective change.
He saw his body standing there without a head.
Deimos wanted to scream but he didn't have longs to pump out the air.
No No No No No I DON'T WANT TO DIE YET!!!!!
but it was too late and Deimos fell into darkness.
A men with disheveled hair and a sword in his hand was laughing like maniac bind Deimos decapetaded corps.
I can finally leave this accursed land.
His sword was extraordinary it gleamed with runes and looked to be made from mithril.
He walks up to Deimos head and picks it up.
I am sorry kid but one of us had to die to return trough the portal.
He takes the head and walks to the portal that stood behind the Minotaurs corps.
He places the head on the altar that accompanies the portal, and chants in a forgotten language.
After he is done he waits for the portal to start.
I Theseus will finally return and Athens will be mine.
The Minoans will feel my wrath and I will not spare a single one.
But suddenly he begins to feel light headed.
He looks down and sees that the blood from Deimos head is eating trough his skin and entering his bloodstream.
Black veins start bulging underneath his skin
And he falls to his knees.
"What is happening to meeee!!!!"
"You are slowly losing your bodely functions."
A calm childish voice awnsers.
"What?"
Theseus turns his head to see Deimos standing there unharmed.
"How are you alive!!??"
"If you wanted me dead you should have taken out my hart and been fast with it."
"It took me around 2 full seconds to regrow my head."
"So you had 2 seconds to kill me fully."
"But I have to say that sword is something else."
"Was that your own, or did you find it here?"
"You did explore the island for hundreds of years after all."
Theseus looked at him with bloodshot eyes.
"You filthy snake he mutterd."
"Your right I am a snake."
"When I got inside I knew you were here too."
" but I could feel that I would never in my life be able to defeat you, so I wanted to lower your guard."
"And you took the bait you thought that it was safe after you decapitated me."
"But I have to say even I lost my cool and panict for real when I lost my head."
"Even if I planned it, it is the first time for me so I was a bit nerveus."
Deimos chuckled after saying that.
"Anyway you are poisend with my blood."
"The most potent poisen on the mortal world."
Theseus feeling the weakness of his body wanted to beg for mercy.
But Deimos walked up to him.
He took the sword from his hand, and decapitated Theseus with one solmotth swing.
"Well time to try this for the first time."
In his head Deimos called out transform.
And his body kept on changing ending up in the form of a giant snake more than 20 m long, and 3 m thick
