Deimos was still drenched in sweat, from this vision he received.
After calming down anger sets in.
It had been 6 days since his return to Sparta.
And tonight he was alone in his room.
After processing everything he learned, he turned angry extremely angry.
These rotten worms dare have designs on my family.
Claiming I fear the gods behind them and the people who support them.
Claiming they are my citizens and I would not harm them.
If they support these cults, and are willing to sacrifice my parents for their idols.
Than they are not my people why would I care for their anger.
And these false gods they are more arrogant and rotten than I anticipated.
For Medusa will suffer under their poisenous hands.
And Phobos will die in the following wars against them.
I will strike before they do, I will behead the snake before it strikes my heel.
"And for this I need my father's permission."
It was late at night and Leonidas was still working on some documents.
Knock knock.
"Who is it?"
"Deimos"
"Oh come in"
Clunk the iron pin moved and the door opend.
"What can I do for you son?" Leonidas asked without looking up from his paperwork.
"It's late at night you should be in bed."
"Father I have come here to deliver a message."
"Intigued Leonidas looked up."
Only to be surprised by Deimos change.
His hair has grown longer, and turned silver the world seems to revolve around him.
Like a mysterious charm.
"It's like you change everytime I look in another direction."
"But for who have you come to deliver a message?"
"If he is capable of sending you as a messenger he has to be important."
Leonidas said with a teasing smile.
"Yes this is important" Deimos awnsers
"I came with a warning."
"If we do not change we will fall in the schemes of the fallen."
"We have to strow away our previous lifestyle."
"Kill the priests of the false gods and destroy their temples."
"Return to honouring the God of our forefathers, and we will be blessed and prosperous."
Leonidas had a solemn face after hearing this.
Looking at his son who changed to be looking more holy and less tainted by the dust of the world, he started to contemplate.
He knew they were the brethren of the Jewish people, but generations of estrangement made it so that they started wavering in their ways.
The Spartan people broke of the tribe of Judas ages ago.
And the reason Sparta was so disciplined, had a stable family structure.
Did not allow prostitution and were more morally bound than the other parts of Greece, was because that were the teachings of their God.
Almost nobody but the royal family remembered.
They are also the only ones that know that they are still in a covenant with the rest of the tribes of Israel.
But hundreds of years of living among heathens smeared their conviction.
They kept the population of Greece as their helot slaves, allowed foreign gods to be preached in Sparta and their discipline, could not keep up with the times.
"You don't have to think this over father."
"The gods of Greece are already the enemy's of our royal family."
"We just have to strike before they do."
Looking at his son who spoke words way too gruesome for his age than he should speak.
He felt guilty.
He uncovered the hand in the dark that allowed this to happen.
It was the cults in Sparta.
With the help of leotigydas and the king's before him, the cults of the foreign gods were allowed to infect and fester in Sparta.
Gnawing at the bone marrow of Sparta like the parisites they are.
Infecting them with ideas of rebellion against their God and it worked.
They started to get alienated from their greatest backing.
And Sparta slowly started showing signs of decline.
"If you are still not convinced I will tell you what God had shown me."
Leonidas wanted to say that he agreed and would start the purge.
Not only would this bring more power and control into the hands of the royal family.
It would also allow them to instill back the original faith of Sparta, and what made the city great in the first place.
But he kept quiet, he wanted to know what worked Deimos up so much.
And Deimos explained in detail.
How he saw a battlefield of indescribable proportions.
The body of his brother, the execution of his parents and the vile acts of the false gods.
After hearing this Leonidas was furious.
"What gives them the right to do this!!"
"Deimos I will give you full authority in this matter make them feel hell!!!"
"Destroy their temples desecrate their statues, burn the believers, and purge Sparta of its filth."
"Yes father I will get to it immediately."
Leonidas stayed in his office, getting mentally prepared to announce the news tomorrow for the chanched Sparta.
Deimos walked out of the palace.
Once he was outside he flew up into the air immediately.
Breathing in the cool Mediterranean air, his head cleared a lot.
He would bring the fury of God down on the false churches.
Bringing reckoning to the cults.
And in return he would have a safe and united Sparta, a patron God who created all in existence and a place in paradise for him and all the members of Sparta who would follow God's word.
Once they fell in battle.
Sounded like a good deal to him.
Taking another deep breath.
He got ready for another night of slaughter, and carnage.
He knew the locations of the temples.
He would begin with the sanctuary of Artemis Orthia.
He flew to the Highland where the temple was build.
Looking down Deimos had a look of disgust.
"I should try my new gift."
And so he did.
He called forth the wild animals of Greece.
Bears lions and boars made their way out of the wilderness.
Moving with purpose to the temple.
The priests who were on duty that night were scared silly.
They bowed down and started praying to their idols hoping for salvation.
But none came.
The wild animals ran wild in the temple.
Tearing out their throats.
Scewering their guts and eating their intestine.
After some time Deimos orderd the animals to leave.
Ready to try the second power that came with his new bloodline.
The power to command the earth.
So he gave one order.
"Swallow."
And the earth rumbled like a hungry beast.
The walls of the temple crumbled and a sinkhole appeared underneath the temple.
The statues crumbled to dust and the pillars burst.
Slowly the temple disappeared underneath the land never to be seen again.
A scream filled with hate anger and madness, sounded when the temple disappeared.
But Deimos ignored it only having a smirk on his face seeing this happen.
Once he was done he moved to the next temple ready to rinse and repeat the process.
But this time they were ready and knew he was coming.
Deimos looked down from above only saying one thing about this: "futile effort"
