"Ugh... My head... How long was I unconscious...?" Kael said sore.
- "It's nighttime already! But... it's supposed to be completely dark, how am I able to see clearly?" he looked around and realized that it was night, the moon proudly in the sky was proof of that. What Kael didn't notice was that his eyes were glowing ever so slightly.
- "In this situation, such an ability is more than welcome. Anyway, if what I saw was my memories..." Kael clenched his fists.
- "Revenge... No, it doesn't make sense, all I can remember are things without key information. Beyond the fact that I was kicked out of the 'Family', I can't seem to remember why or my relationship with those people." Kael considered the possibility of simply forgetting about them, after all, why would he want to go back to those who discarded him?
But... he has a reason, just one;
- "Mother... I want to know what happened and maybe seeing her and talking to her will help me remember." With a goal, Kael felt more motivated despite the situation.
- "Although I can't do anything if I don't get out of here first, I have to find a way out of this place" He started looking for something useful, and finally noticed a bag on the ground. He walked over and opened the bag, finding several things: a hunting knife of about 20cm, some supplies like dried meat, wild fruits and a canteen with water.
-Mmm, looks like it will last me a few days. Hopefully I'll be out of the woods by then." He stuffed all the supplies back into the bag, and tied it around his waist. He put the knife back in its sheath, deciding to carry it in his hands.
- "All right, time to go-"
GRRR... Kael heard a really unpleasant growl from behind him, only a few meters away - A shiver ran through his body as he slowly turned around to the source of the sound. There, what appeared to be a dog was looking at him menacingly, baring its sharp, nasty fangs.
- "A dog? What's a dog doing here?" as Kael had such thoughts, the dog came a few steps closer... -"!!!" He couldn't help but be surprised, as that "dog", had completely rotten skin, parts of its body were nothing but bones and in others it was secreting a green liquid.
- "An Undead Beast, eh. In my memories my mother told me about them, they are usually wild animals that for some reason or another end up here and die- Or should that be so, but they are still "alive" because of some kind of curse. The most dangerous thing about them is that their claws possess a putrefying poison capable of immobilizing and even killing someone." As he remembered all he could about the beast, he slowly got into a defensive stance by spreading his legs apart and lowering his center of gravity, then drew his knife, just like a certain blond character used to dealing with the undead.
- "Whew... Let's do this..." He muttered, as he approached the Undead Beast. The Beast growled once more and lunged at Kael. It rolled to the side to dodge the claws, immediately reared up, stabbing one of the Beast's legs - "AUUW" It howled in pain, backing away from Kael.
- "Looks like it won't be hard, I just have to keep its claws or fangs from touching me. Alright, time to end this" Switching to a more aggressive approach, It was Kael who lunged this time, aiming for the Beast's throat, he launched a slash, ending the beast's "life".
- "*Sigh* Looks like I'm done, it's finally time to-" Frrshh.
Something moved in the nearby bushes, after a few seconds, out came 4 more Undead Beasts, snarling at Kael:
- "Grrr..." "Grrr...." "Grrr...." "Grrr...."
- "Haha. This must be a joke...." Kael was now surrounded.
