While Leon and granny were having their own conversation, both of them suddenly felt a dangerous level of energy.
Granny knew who's energy this was, she had an anxious look as she looked at Leon.
Leon who felt the energy also knew the one behind such type of energy.
He had a grave look on his face as he looked at granny. Leon said, "White dragon, it seems he arrived way too quickly than I had expected".
"We should be heading that way!!" Concerned granny said to Leon, "alright".
Leon just snapped his finger.
Snap…
Granny and Leon were transported to the place where the chaos had occurred, granny looked at the site with a fearful look. Seeing the white dragon destroying things and the people of the village running away.
"This—" she looks at Leon, "what should we do?" She asked, as she was expecting Leon to take action.
But Leon replied, which granny was not expecting, "I will not fight that thing yet until I don't see what I need to see".
Granny was furious by the reply that Leon gave her. "What kind of foolish thing are you saying? You said you do fight the dragon, can't you see people will die if you don't take any action!"
Thag with Joseph, Kathel and Jack came to the place where granny and Leon were standing.
Leon looked at loyal dogs who were waiting for his command but instead of giving them command Leon just looked back at the destruction.
All three of them were confused, "does this means these villagers are gonna be doomed" granny said feeling hopeless and with the look she said she was looking like a hopeless person.
"Why don't you see that boy's bravery going towards the dragon?" Leon said as he pointed his finger in the boy's direction.
Everyone looked at the direction where Leon was pointing, they were surprised and worried, Thag said. "Isn't that Lila's son?". "Why is he going in that direction, is he out of his mind?!".
Granny looked towards Leon who was just staring at the boy. She knew that he could not be convinced because Leon was not a person who would listen to others.
He only does what he pleases to do. She asked Leon, "what is it that you want?".
Leon replied with a colder voice, "isn't it obviously, to kill that dragon" - "but I have to be a bit patient"
The boy who was moving slowly toward the dragon who was rampaging destroying things with his breath of green fire.
The boy goes by the name Thomas, he had a sword in his hand which was heavy as Thomas was dragging it on the ground.
"I will not let you destroy my village you evil creature" his voice was filled with anger and determination, someone who wanted to slaughter the dragon very badly, craving to kill that dragon which was far more stronger than him.
Crack…
The ground beneath Thomas' foot shattered, Woosh… Thomas jumped in the air very high… everyone except for Leon were astonished.
The dragon stops and looks upwards seeing the boy floating in the air with the sword lifted upwards in the sky's direction.
"I WILL KILL YOU DRAGON!" Thomas shouted as he launched himself at the dragon, pointing his sword at the Dragon.
He was thinking that he would be able to pierce through the dragon scale with his sword.
But it was his mistake to think that, Cleng… "Huh?!". The sword didn't even stick inside an inch of the dragon scale.
Splash…
The dragon uses his tail and strikes Thomas with it. "Argh!".
Thomas goes flying and crashes on to the ground. Crash…
He was badly injured by the crash. "Egh…". Thomas was unable to move his body, not being able to stand but laying on the ground.
The dragon was looking at him, he had his breath of green fire ready to throw it at Thomas.
Thomas could only see but do nothing, granny seeing the hopeless boy on the ground and the dragon about to kill him asked help for Leon. "Child, why don't you go and help him. Don't you want him? If he dies then there's no point to any of your plans".
Leon stood there silently watching the scene which was happening in front of his eyes.
The dragon blasted his breath at Thomas, who just closed his eyes out of fear of death. He didn't want to die like that.
As the fire came closer, a voice appeared "didn't I tell you not to do something stupid again" it was the voice of a female villager. She appeared next to Thomas and expanded his arms in front and widening her hands.
A magic barrier appeared protecting both her and Thomas.
Thomas hesitantly said, "mother? What are you doing here, it's dangerous".
Thomas, who was calling this villager mother, was a female orc who was protecting him at the moment. "What danger? What you are doing is stupid, without caring for your own life you rushed coming here without my knowing"
"Do you know how worried I was that I had to run all the way here".
Thomas, who was a human, shouted at his mother in worry because of the danger. "Mother, you should just run away".
Why… why?... Why don't you just run away while staying behind? Why caring? Thomas said in his mind, Thomas knew he was a human while his mother was an orc.
Thomas never got along with his mother, but his mother was always caring. He had always thought that since he was a human his mother wouldn't love him like how other orcs love their kids.
It was always in his mind, because of which he never really got to know much about how his mother felt. Now was the time he realised how much his mother loved him.
"I'm your mother, I will never abandon my own son even when I'm facing dangerous things like this, I will always protect you"
Crack… the barrier had a small crack because of the continuously facing strong fire of the dragon.
That barrier wouldn't last for that long, Thomas said in his mind looking at the crack that had appeared.
Thomas couldn't stand up and help his mother neither, he just had to watch his mother.
Drop… drop…
Thomas saw green liquid dropping down on the ground, he knew what it was. Orcs blood.
Thomas' mother was bleeding from the nose because of using too much energy.
Thomas shouted, "mother you must stop or else you will di–", but his mother interrupted and talked with a polite tone. "It's alright Thomas, I'm sorry if I was unable to give you the love you deserve. I did my best but I will never fail my duties when it comes to protecting you, I will protect you like always,".
Thomas didn't understand what she meant by that as he only listened silently looking at her.
Once she finished her talk, she screamed "Aaaahhhhh", the barrier became giant, it was now getting closer to the dragon.
Suddenly the dragon was trapped in a barrier from all sides. Unable to break it from all sides but failed.
Thomas was happy that his mother was able to trap the dragon, he said with an excited voice to his mother. "Mother, you did it. You trapped the dragon!!".
After a while there was no response from his mother, he could only see her back. He was worried, as he asked, "mother why aren't you replying and standing there like that? Mother?!" He finally realised "don't tell me, mother you–" he was terrifying after realising that her mother sacrificed herself to trap the dragon inorder to save thomas.
She was standing just like before with her hands extended. Her iris had become grey, nose bleeding.
She was dead while standing, Thomas shouted with a painful voice, "Mother!!"
