"Carl, it's time" Martin knocked before coming in
"For what" Carl asked as she focused on the cctv footage that her team managed to gather.
"The hospital, miller called" Martin informed
"Oh..thank you Martin" Carl thanked before getting up and picking up her coat
"How is mrs.Anderson" Carl asked
"She's been crying since she woke up..she's fine physically" Martin said
"Okay" Carl nodded
"I'll take my leave now" Martin informed
"Martin" Carl said stopping him as he was bout to open the door.
"I want you, saffron, kanith, and Ryan" to do a thorough search about the girls
"On it" Martin said before leaving, Carl went to see the Anderson's, and like Martin said Ann's cries could be heard as she knocked on the door
"Come in" mr.Anderson called
"We're ready to go" Carl informed
"I wanna see my child too" ann said, Carl guessed her husband already told her everything
"Okay" Jacob nodded getting up then helping Ann up..the trio drove in Carl's car to the hospital when they arrived, doctor miller was already waiting for them at the hospital entrance
"Hello Carl" he greeted
"Miller" she returned
"Come on in" miller said as he directed the way
"This is the Andersons, the victim's parent" Carl introduced, miller gave them a weird look but quickly Concealed it..he extended his hands and Jacob shook it but Ann was busy blowing her nose and crying her sockets out to even notice the doctor
"Here is everything" miller said as they stood in front of the door that held Jennifer inside
"Thank you" Carl said taking the folder that contained all the information she needed from miller.. Carl was the first to open the door and entered then the Andersons followed..Jennifer was laid on a bed and was covered by a white sheet..the moment Ann saw this, she started bawling even Jacob had some silent tears falling down his cheeks
"Oh my sweet sweet child" Ann cried
"Why you too" she said between sobs, although it was low key and muffled by her crying, Carl still heard it..she brushed it off until later then she moved to remove the covers and she gasped, she now knew why miller was giving the Andersons that weird look.. both the Andersons are black haired people..mrs.Anderson has Brunette and mr Andersons has a raven hair with brown eyes so does Ann but the girl on the bed, whose Supposed to be Jennifer has blond hair, with blue eyes..the only thing that resembles her with Ann is her facial features, you can see it a bit tho, questions need to be asked, was Jennifer adopted or what. Why did Ann say "why you too" what was behind that statement but she decided to ask that later and let them mourn their 'daughter'….Carl left the room so the Anderson can mourn in private for a while, she waited by the door and she heard a few things more things
"Why, Jacob..I'm I such a horrible mother..why does everything keep coming back…why does my past hunt me..can't I be happy" Ann said between sobs as she kept in crying
"It's okay" she heard Jacob's voice, trying to console his wife but pain evident in his
"Is losing one not enough" Anna continued
"I'm still not over her then my poor baby too" Anna added as she kept on crying.. questions, questions and more questions kept on pooling in Carl's head but no answer
"You alright" miller as he stood beside her leaning in the wall
"Yeah" Carl answered with a small smile
"She looks like her" miller suddenly said
"She's gone miller…" Carl said closing her eyes as she took a deep breath "long,long time ago" Carl added
"That's not certain" miller said and Carl let out a little laugh
"You have too much hope miller, I've lost mine along with that crash" Carl said. It looked like miller wanted to say more but the door flung open and out came a panicking Jacob holding an unconscious Ann in his arms
"She's…she" Jacob was early panicking..miller called for his team and Ann was carried into another room for check up..Carl waited with Jacob
"She's going to be alright" Carl said to Jacob patting his back
"She can't handle it…not again" Jacob murmured to himself but Carl heard it..she just didn't comment about it. 15minutes later Ann woke up but the hospital decided it was better she stay for a day or two, Jacob decided to stay over to look after her and Carl decided to come back the next day for a overdue interview. Carl opened his officer only to find half of his team in there waiting
"Okay" she said not understanding why they were forming an army in his office
"I think maybe we need to meeting" Peter said from the crowed
"You know I can sue all of you for breaking into my officer right" Carl joked and they all laughed
"Well let the meeting begin" Carl said
"So I interviewed scarlet and her alibi is Charon and Jason for the day that the victim, Jennifer was chased out of her apartment" saffron said
"Jason is out of town" Sam said
"Scarlet said they went for a event their company organized" saffron added
"Anything sus about that" find anything sus about that, he sure did
"So if I'm thinking of a timeline it's something like Joshua left that night..that's what his VP told me-"
"Which night" Peter asked
"The 7th" Sam answered before continuing "and scarlet left on the 8th?" Sam asked
"Yes" saffron answered
"Denna was so unbothered" another officer chimed in
"She's just to- confident..I honestly think there's something behind that façade" the officer added
"There's something that seem to be going on between her and Sofia..some hatred" Sam said
"You noticed too" saffron chimed in
"It's quite obvious tho" Claire said, another officer
"One more thing" Claire added
"Denna talked about the victim, Jennifer being rich which baffled me" Claire said
"Rich?" Carl who was just listening this whole time said
"I found something" Peter said
"I went snooping around a little and I found out that mrs. Andersons real name and surname is not such..she changed it and moved from xanders to sangre" Peter said but was interrupted by sam
"That's a long way to move" he commented
"Exactly..she was staring a new life with her old time high school boyfriend which is mr.Andersons" Peter continued
"Anything else" carl asked
"Her real name is Florence Benieve" Peter said looking up at carl
"Benieve" carl asked with a look of shock but she quickly masked it and Peter nodded
"And Jennifer is indeed her daughter..shocking. She was actually raped at the age of 21 by some crazy rich guy" Peter said
"So when did she move to sagre" Carl asked
"When she was 15..she was actually pregnant but people say she aborted it but I had a little talk with the doctor she Allegedly visited for that abortion but she said Ann did come for it but never proceeded with it" Peter continued to explain
"I don't know why she didn't abort it or whose this super rich guy that raped her and there's more I couldn't dig with just snooping we need a whole investigation..she has some past with this rich guy I couldn't get my hands on and there's a talk about a daughter she abandoned as well" Peter concluded
"Wow" Claire exclaimed
"A lot I know" Peter said with a nod
"I got did some background check on Joshua" Peter added and everyone's eyes were on him again
"Joshua had a very normal childhood..no criminal records as well the only record being drunk fighting with Xavier" Peter said and Carl knitted her brows in confusion
"Apparently, Joshua loved Charon so much but Charon loved Xavier and I heard a little gossip that Xavier liked Jennifer but Jennifer never reciprocated that love because Charon had a crush on Xavier and they all knew but…that didn't mean she didn't like him" Peter explained
"I guess Xavier just gave up on Jennifer since she was always being rude, mean or avoiding him and started dating Charon and that made Joshua mad..mad so he never got along with Xavier" Peter added
"So it was like a love square" same exclaimed
"I shouldn't laugh" Carl said trying to compose herself
"A little theory" saffron said
"What if Joshua loved Charon so much..he doesn't want to see her even hurt even if that means she gets to leave Xavier" saffron added
"Are you saying" Peter said not intentionally completing his sentence
"I'm just thinking" saffron added.
