There was a thump when he couldn't take it anymore, his face and arm returning to the ground.

And in the direction he had pointed, there was Micael standing, drinking water casually, he rolled his eyes upon seeing Saji's act and his words, and responded after stopping drinking.

"Don't be melodramatic, like I said before, you'll thank me later."

With him going back to drinking the water afterwards.

Groaning with effort, Saji slowly turned around on the floor, his tired eyes looking up at the ceiling.

"Ugh, man, I feel like shit."

Approaching with silent steps, Micael crouched down next to the fallen Saji, commenting calmly.

"Welcome to my training routine, but don't worry, it's difficult at first but over time you'll get used to it."

Shifting his gaze from the ceiling to him, his tired expression twitched into an irritated one when Saji spoke.

"Get used to it? I'll never get used to training like this, you freak! You made me lift weights while still using body weight, what's wrong with your head?"

Saji spoke in an indignant tone, pointing to the body weights he still had on his body.

Hitting the vest attached to Saji's torso, making him groan, Micael answered him.

"I already told you to stop being melodramatic, those weights you're using barely affect you, you said it was easy, besides, like I said, your devil physiology will probably take care of it, no need to thank me"

He finished speaking by slapping his vest again, smiling slightly.

Slapping the hand that was on his vest, Saji said in a dead tone.

"Be grateful for what? The torture? I think you're the devil here, not me."

Micael didn't bother to respond to Saji's complaint this time, after all he was just doing it because.

And as he had already said, Saji himself had said that it was easy when he was lifting weights, even with body weights, so upon hearing this, Micael changed his training, switching to cardiovascular exercises.

And well, the result of that was this, shortly after starting, even though he had a physique, Saji quickly found himself exhausted, and the once light weights on his body became heavy.

Especially because the cardio that Micael forced him to do was anything but normal, that was all it took to have any real effect.

Rising from his crouched position, and with his hands on his hips, he spoke to Saji.

"Alright, rest time is over, come on, get up."

And the only response he got was a lazy whine.

"Ugh, how about you use those healing powers on me? I will definitely feel better this way."

Looking at him on the floor came the simple answer.

"No."

With Micael then walking past him, going to the bag he had brought in the corner of the wall and saying.

"Get up, I'm going to do something else that will help you."

Lifting his torso slowly with a groan of effort, Saji complained to him.

"Come on man, don't be petty, use those powers there and just heal me."

Crouching down in front of the bag as he began to take things out of it, he responded without turning around.

"Firstly, using healing powers is expensive for me, you're not the one who's going to get an irritating pain in your eyes, secondly, my healing powers are different, just like I told you, I don't know how it works in a devil, and thirdly, healing you would make all that training useless."

Upon hearing his explanation, Saji clicked his tongue in resignation as he responded.

"Does that mean I'll have to stay like this then?"

And the response he received first came with a light laugh.

"Hah, if you think it's bad now, don't worry, tomorrow will be much worse."

Letting out another groan of exhaustion upon hearing this, Saji slowly stood up, like a zombie, putting all the strength he could muster into it.

In a last effort, with shaky legs, he managed to stand up, almost losing his balance thanks to the weights on his body.

Taking the weights off his body with an almost disgusted look, he threw them on the floor, approaching Micael.

Taking off his vest and throwing it on, he looked at what Micael was doing, asking in doubt.

"What are you doing?"

And the answer he got from the crouched Micael was.

"Our post-workout."

"Post-workout?"

After this rhetorical question, Saji watched in silence as Micael finished adding the white powder taken from a plastic packaging, then, saving what he used to collect the powder and closing the packaging, he closed the blender and turned it on.

With the sound of the blender turning on, Saji watched in silence as the contents inside it turned into liquid.

With the blender turned off after a while, he still watched silently as Micael took out disposable cups from the bag, then, filling a cup with the liquid, he stood up and moved the cup towards him, saying.

"Drink it."

Silently looking at the plastic cup filled with a pasty brown liquid, Saji asked in a curious tone.

"What is this?"

And Micael responded promptly.

"It's a protein shake, it has avocado, banana, açaí, milk, oats, peanut butter, chocolate powder and, of course, most importantly, creatine, glutamine, hypercaloric, hormonal stimulant and whey protein."

Responding without pause, he then gestured with the cup to Saji again, saying.

"Drink it."

Silently looking at the plastic cup, Saji picked it up, taking an experimental sip.

Feeling the sweet taste, he gave Micael a thumbs up as he spoke.

"It is good."

Nodding in agreement, Micael crouched down again, starting to pick up more plastic cups.

Saji watched as he drank the protein shake, Micael grabbed five more glasses and started filling them one by one.

Believing that those cups were for him, Saji asked with a slight frown.

"If those glasses you're filling are for me, I think you're overreacting."

"Each of these glasses contains up to one hundred and fifty ml, six of them give nine hundred ml, which is equivalent to approximately seven thousand and a few more calories."

Micael replied as he poured the rest of the shake into the glasses.

Upon hearing these words, and especially the amount of calories, Saji's eyes widened a little in surprise.

"Seven thousand?"

After filling the glasses, Micael drank the rest that was left in the blender, talking while he started to prepare another one.

"Normally, this shake I made would be harmful due to the excessive amount of supplements I added, but with you having your devil physiology and me having my powers, it won't be a problem...probably."

Without commenting on the unreliable ending to his explanation, Saji looked at the now empty cup in his hands, then looked away at the other five on the floor.

Crouching down and picking one up before standing up, he commented before taking a sip.

"I don't think I'll be able to drink all of that."

He got no response from Micael, looking and seeing the latter was finishing preparing the shake.

With the lid on and the blender running, he saw how the contents inside soon liquefied, but the quantity was much larger than before.

With Micael getting up and removing the lid so he could drink, Saji could see that the blender was full, reaching the '2L' mark printed on it, seeing this, he asked, already knowing what the answer would be.

"You're going to drink all of this, aren't you?"

"Yeah."

Upon hearing the confirmation he expected, he saw how Micael began to drink it and, making a quick calculation in his head, measured the amount of calories it would contain, arriving at the answer, he asked a little in shock.

"Does that have sixteen thousand calories?"

Stopping drinking to respond, Micael wiped his stained lips.

"It's seventeen thousand, actually."

"And will you be able to drink it all?"

Saji asked back, still processing that absurd amount of calories about to be ingested.

"Watch."

And with that simple answer, Micael went back to drinking.

Taking large sips and ingesting large amounts at once, the quantity soon reached half the size of the blender, with Micael stopping drinking at that point.

He wiped his lips again and spoke to himself.

"As always, very good."

He then patted his belly, already feeling full, and he and Saji could see that his belly was now protruding a little.

Looking at his belly in silence, he and Saji could soon see how his belly was visibly starting to return to its original flat shape.

Nodding in satisfaction, Micael went back to drinking while Saji just watched in stunned silence.

With him drinking it all, his belly protruded once more, but just like before, it slowly returned to its original flat shape.

Looking at the silent Saji who was holding a half-full glass in his hands, he gave a thumbs up.

Not quite understanding what had happened, Saji asked in doubt.

"What did you do?"

He responded after letting out a light burp into his fist.

"Brrp, I used my power."

"How did you use it?"

"It's one of the powers I told you about, I can manipulate my body however I want to a certain extent, what I did was manipulate my stomach to digest the shake faster."

With an expression of understanding, Saji gave a response that demonstrated this.

"Oh..."

"And the best part is, everything is completely digested, there is nothing left to be expelled later."

Continuing the explanation, a slight smile appeared on Micael's face as he raised his thumb again with the meaning of his words.

Blinking his eyes in thought, realization came to Saji as he asked.

"Wait, does that mean..."

"Yes." — With a radiant smile, to the point of serving as a toothpaste commercial, Micael confirmed the unasked question. — "I don't need to shit."

Eyes wide and almost dropping the glass in his hands, Saji could only stare in silent shock and mutter.

"You lucky son of a bitch."

In response, Micael just let out a jovial laugh.

"Hahaha~"

Saji could only sigh as a pang of jealousy came to him.

"Sigh."

"What's with that expression, don't you have a superhuman stomach too?"

Micael asked after seeing how frustrated he looked about this.

"Yes, but it's not as efficient, I still need to shit, just not at the same frequency as before."

He responded with an expression of acceptance, returning to drink from the plastic cup.

With an expression of understanding of himself appearing on his face, Micael hummed in response as he said.

"Hmm, I guess there's some magic to help with that, or isn't there?"

With those words being said, Saji felt as if he had been struck by lightning, causing him to stop the cup just as he was about to drink it.

"How come I didn't think of this before?"

"I think it would have been weirder if you had thought of that when you just discovered the supernatural side of the world."

Micael answered even though the question wasn't meant for him, heading towards the bathroom at the end of the gym.

With a strange expression, Saji agreed with him.

"Yeah, you're right."

And with his hand going to his chin, he commented to himself.

"Maybe I should ask kaichou?...no, it would be too embarrassing, I'll deal with it later."

He imagined how absurd and strange the scene would be in his head, before quickly changing his mind.

"Maybe you should ask the girls on the student council, they might know something."

Micael said when he came back from the bathroom after washing the blender, shaking it to dry faster.

Looking at him approaching and understanding that he didn't hear him, Saji spoke about to take a sip of the shake again.

"Nah, that would be really weird, we're not that close for me to ask something like that..."

Amidst his words, Saji slowly realized something, making him stop again just as he was about to drink.

"Wait a minute, how do you know they're devils too? And how the hell do you know I'm a devil?"

Saji asked completely misunderstood, realizing that he had never told Micael exactly what he was.

Micael, who was squatting in front of the bag while putting away the things he had taken out, slowly turned his head towards him, with a smile on his face as he said.

"So, you finally noticed."

After saying those words, Saji watched in silence waiting for a response as Micael finished putting things in his bag, closing it and getting up, he turned to him, still smiling as he said.

"Exactly what you're thinking, the only person who could have told me this is the school's other resident devil, Rias Gremory!"

Micael spoke with great emotion, raising his arms and showing a big, bright smile that seemed to mock Saji.

"Ba-bakana!"("Im-impossible!")

Feeling as if he had been struck by lightning again, Saji almost dropped the glass he was holding in his hands as he looked wide-eyed at Micael.

"Hahaha, exactly what you heard, Rias Gremory, one of the most beautiful girls in our school, talked to me!"

Micael continued with great exclamation, smiling arrogantly at Saji.

Gritting his teeth, Saji looked at him intensely as he spoke in a strong tone.

"So what!? It's not like you guys are going to become a couple or anything!"

"Yes, you're right." — Closing his eyes, Micael agreed with him, nodding, then, opening his eyes once and with an even bigger smile on his face, he continued. — "But! I did something you won't be able to do in your dreams, I held her hand!..."

"Gah!"

Exclaiming as if he had been punched, Saji clutched his chest with an inconceivable expression on his face.

"...Twice! Hahaha!"

With these new words being spoken, Saji felt the true emotion of disbelief, with one hand holding his chest and bending over, pointing a trembling finger at him, a look of chagrin on his face as he spoke with difficulty.

"You...lucky bastard!"

And the reaction he got was just an even more unrestrained laugh.

"Ahahahaha! Exactly, fear my awesomeness, you humble mongrel!"

"Ugh..."

A groan of pain came out of Saji's mouth, but the pain he felt wasn't physical, it was psychological.

"That's right! Be filled with frustration and pain because you will never feel the softness of those hands! I felt like I was touching a cloud, and the smell of her, Oh~! She smelled like-"

"Okay, okay, you're overreacting bro, it's getting weird."

Saji said, interrupting Micael by raising his hand and acting completely normal and calm.

"Yes, you're right, I got a little carried away."

It was the response of agreement that Micael gave, also acting completely normal and calm, then crossing his arms, he spoke as if nothing had happened.

"Anyway, she explained everything to me about the devil society, the supernatural side of the world and other things, like Sacred Gears, since she thought I had one."
