Eun Ji walked through the school gates among other students who were filing in. Some walk in groups of two or three while others chase after their friends in an attempt to catch them. A few just walk with their books clenched on their chest. Though Eun Ji was with Hae Su, her mind was far away.
"What spirit was that?" She thought as she strolled in slow paces. "I don't think I have seen it before." Her brows creased in deep thought.
Trrriii...
The sound of the bell resonates within the walls of the school, announcing early morning class. All the students instantly took to their heels as they sped in. Those who were yet to enter rushed in but were immediately stopped by their teachers on duty.
Eun Ji was so engulfed in her thoughts that she didn't even hear the bell. Hae Su nudges her on the shoulder– jerking her to reality. She nods her head to the open, highlighting the situation.
" Ah?~ Mr. Han's assignment." Eun Ji exclaimed, racing off to the library with Hae Su. She had totally forgotten she had an assignment to finish up due to the whole early morning ruckus.
" But Mrs. Ha-rin is in our class this morning." Hae's voice echoed from the corridors. " Korean literature, have you forgotten?"
" I need to submit this before Mr. Han's lesson. You know I don't want to be in his bad books." Her voice faded along.
The library was a few blocks away from the lined-up classrooms along the hallway. It was dead silent with almost all the students registered. The only voices you could make out were the ones of the teachers anchoring the class.

The news of the deadly accident had already made waves for the early morning breaking news. This seems to have thrown the public into fear and terror. Such a gruesome accident in the broad daylight with questioning cause was quite strange.
Where did he suddenly appear from?– was it a suicide or murder? This got many talking, requesting a proper and careful investigation of the case. The police had taken up every possible hint and were on top of it.
Baek Hyun had gone through a few subways, under-bridges, and alleys he thought possible since such spirits mostly like to hide among dense places but had nothing figured out just yet. Everyone he passed by seemed to be reading or watching something related to the incident.
He knew there were going to be worse things than that if he was not able to catch the dark spirit. But nothing seems to be going his way. He sighed for the 100th time, searching in his mind where to go next.
Somewhere in the city, the darkness hovers around like a flying cloud– seeking its next victim as it flies over houses, parks, and skyscrapers. It notices a group of teen kids playing around a quiet corner from the distance.
They weren't playing but were kind of in a fist. One was crunched to the ground with the rest surrounding him. His face bruised as he stared up at the boy towered over him– his eyes filled with fear.
Just the perfect soul he sought for, the dark spirit chanced forward towards the group. The young boy knelt before the latter on the floor and smiled.
" I warned you not to ignore me, Beom Seok" He sneered. " Give me your wallet." He requested but before Seok could even act, he ruthlessly began punching and stamping him.
His friends tried to hold him back but he seemed to be out of control. This wasn't what they had planned. They just wanted to scare him a little. He could kill him at this rate.
Nothing they did could stop him. He was not himself– he looked like a different person altogether. A beast.
"Yah...yah, Joon Woo!! " One vehemently called, clutching onto him. "Enough already, you're going to kill him." He screamed, looking at the amount of blood-soaked on the floor.
But Joon Woo effortlessly shook him off, causing him to crash into the wall. He groaned in pain, slamming to the ground. " In-Su!!" The rest called, rushing off to his aid. Their concentration was now on In-Sun who was badly injured from the effect.
Beom Seok was almost lifeless. Joon Woo raised a fist about to devour his victim when a great force clashed with him, slamming him into the walls. The others flinched, not seeing what hit him like that. All they saw was his body hitting the floor.
" Got you..." Do Jun said with relief as the spirit fell out of its host.
The boys who didn't hear nor see Do Jun panicked, immediately taking to their heels in the heat of the moment. Leaving Joon Woo to himself as he groaned. The pain instantly surged through his body as he came back to himself.
Do-Jun and the poltergeist came face to face as they stared into each other's gaze. Taking in his true identity(human figure). He was ready to battle it all out with him. He threw his fist and a dark ball of flame swayed Do Jun's way flying past him as he swerved his way out.
In the heat of the moment, he forgot to contact Baek Hyun as told. Retaliating, his sword flared into action but he was gone before he could notice. With his compass, Do Jun was able to quickly track his route and immediately chased after him.
It had barely been a year since he was taken in. Baek Hyun knew Do Jun wasn't yet as skilled as himself since he was still a newbie under his wing but he had in mind his likeness of taking risks at any given point. This mostly got him concerned and worried.
Do Jun trailed after him and the compass stopped in the middle of two joined alleys. It was empty and dead silent~ the eerily atmosphere kept him on edge. Although he couldn't make out its hide out yet he knew he was right under his nose.
His eyes were alert, darting over to any little sound. A sudden cold breeze greased over his shoulders and he knew that was a hint. He threw his chain-like hook and directly got him smashed into the packed-up dustbins gathered in a corner of the alley.
The two went into fierce combat. Baek Hyun stood on the rooftop of a hotel– eyes lurking around if he could sense anything. It was then that he felt his compass glitching, he lifted it to his gaze. His brows creases
"What's going on?" he said. At that moment, it clicked. "Do Jun," he muttered, his tone clear with worry.
