Chapter 5 - THE CURSE RETURNS

Eun Ji's eyes remained fixed on the lifeless body, her mind racing with thoughts and emotions. She couldn't believe another student had fallen victim to the curse. The memories of her dream came flooding back, and she felt an eerie connection to the events unfolding before her.

The prior events of the curse turned a nightmare for Eun Ji~ crossing paths with one ghost student to another on a daily basis. But after a few years, she had manged to overcome the terror~ So why now? She flinched.

Hae Su approached her, concern etched on her face. "Eun Ji, are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost."

Eun Ji forced a weak smile, trying to shake off the feeling of dread. "I'm fine, just a bit shaken."

As they watched, the EMTs loaded the body into the ambulance, and the crowd began to disperse. Eun Ji felt a strange sensation, as if something was watching her from the shadows.

Meanwhile, Baek Hyun had made his way back to the school entrance, his mind racing with a plan. He needed to get closer to the students, to find out who was hosting the dark spirit. And what better way to do that than to become a student himself?

Hyun returned to the underworld. Do Jun was delighted to meet him unscratched. Don Jun on the other hand was almost all healed and still recovering his powers. He was dumpfounded to learn about his hyung's decision to return to the human world as human to catch the plotergeist.

But what baffled Kang and Yoon was Shin's approval to partner him with Do Jun who was still recovering. " Is he really in dare desire to get rid of you, Jun?" Yoon bursted but Jun just ignored, returning his gaze to Back Hyun.

" Since you've decided, then I don't mind~shall we?" He headed out first. " Won't you stop him?" Kang said to Baek who answered with silence, heading off after Do Jun.

As Eun Ji and Hae Su returned to their classroom, they couldn't help but wonder if the curse was truly back. And if so, who would be its next victim?

Baek Hyun and Do Jun had returned to the human world. With a determined look, he walked into the school office, ready to start his new mission.

Their eyes scanned the room for the principal or anyone in charge. He spotted a middle-aged woman with a kind face and approached her.

"Excuse me, ma'am. I'm here to enroll as a new student," he said, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

The woman looked up from her papers, slightly surprised. "Ah, welcome! We don't usually get new students this time of the year, but I suppose it's possible. Let me just check a few things."

She began typing away on her computer, and Baek Hyun took the opportunity to observe his surroundings. The office was filled with the usual school memorabilia and photos of students and staff. But one particular picture caught his eye - a group of students from three years ago, with a familiar face among them.

"Ma'am, who is this student?" he asked, pointing to the picture.

The woman followed his gaze and smiled wistfully. "Oh, that's Ji-Hoon. He was one of our top students, but...well," She stopped mid-way. Her lips curved in a smile and he realized she didn't want to dive further.

Baek Hyun's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with connections. "The curse... but why a top student?" He wondered. To his knowledge so far, he knew it happened to students below average. This grew his curiosity.

Baek Hyun's determination grew. He had to find out who was behind this curse and put an end to it once and for all.

As they completed their enrollment, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. He had to find a way to uncover the truth behind the curse and the spirit's presence in the school.

The days passed, and the school tried to return to a sense of normalcy. But the memory of the latest victim lingered, and the students couldn't shake off the feeling of unease.

In the midst of this tension, two new students transferred to the school. Baek Hyun and Do Jun, with their piercing gazes and enigmatic smiles, seemed to carry an aura of mystery around them.

Eun Ji watched them with a mix of curiosity and suspicion, her mind still reeling from the events of the curse. There was something about Baek Hyun that seemed familiar, but she couldn't quite place it.

The game was on, and the stakes were higher than ever before. Who would be the next victim of the curse, and what role would the new students play in the unfolding drama?~ Eun Ji had a lot racing through her thoughts.

As the new students settled into their desks, Eun Ji found herself drawn to them, despite her reservations. Their aura felt tensed and gloomy yet alluring.

Baek Hyun's charisma and Do Jun's quiet intensity seemed to command attention, and she wondered what secrets they might be hiding.

Little did she know, Baek Hyun and Do Jun were watching her just as closely, their eyes fixed on her with an intensity that made her skin prickle. She panicked and Hae Su noticed her discomfort.

" Are you alright?" Eun Ji nodded, focusing her attention back on their teacher. But Hae Su knew she was not ,yet she decided to let it slide.

Baek Hyun and Do Jun who had caught on felt they needed to keep a tag on her. Even though Hyun knew she had a mystic aura to herself yet he noticed her energy wasn't strong enough to host such a powerful spirit.

" I don't think she's our host." He voiced. "She does have a certain... energy about her. But is it enough to sustain the spirit?"

Do Jun was skeptical. "I'm not sure. We need to keep watching her, see if she exhibits any of the signs." Baek Hyun immediately agreed.

"And what about the others? Any other possibilities?"

Do Jun scanned the room once again. "The boy, Ji Hyun, perhaps. He has a certain... vulnerability about him. But we need to be cautious, can't afford to make any mistakes."

Baek Hyun smirked. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it. I have a few... techniques to help us determine who's worthy."

Do Jun was expressionless. "Just be careful, Baek Hyun. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves." He warned.

Soon, the bell went off for lunch break. The hallway was in a rush as the students hurried out, filling it in a moment.
