Chapter 3 - Emma: Echoes in the Halls of Nobility

The silver flying lady emblem of the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit stood proudly on the car's front, clearly visible.

The rear seats were spacious, with several fists of space between the driver's seat and the knees.

Jason Hart, who used to dream of Ferraris and McLarens, now had them all at once, including a luxurious Rolls-Royce. Compared to the physical pleasures, the psychological satisfaction made Jason Hart feel deeply comfortable.

Just as mentioned earlier.

Now he only had a heart belonging to an ordinary person but had lost the life of an ordinary person.

Looking at his wallet, it was evident with credit cards and a thick stack of cash, mostly in 1000 denominations, totaling more than thirty thousand casino dollars.

In his backpack, there were keys to several supercars, no textbooks in sight, but there were condoms, a stack of cash, and a Damascus-patterned folding knife.

When Jason Hart took out the knife, Emma looked surprised, eyes wide open, and asked, "Are you crazy? Bringing such a thing to school, if the teachers find out, you'll be expelled!"

"...I was cutting apples last night, and it accidentally ended up in my bag."

Jason Hart was speechless at his own explanation.

After all, normal students don't bring knives to school, let alone a whole box of condoms, along with a wallet containing a total of one hundred thousand casino dollars in cash.

The amount of money seemed substantial, but usually, it was just enough for a few rounds of drinks. Sometimes, in the midst of a lively crowd, it could be spent in a single night. No worries, though, as he could always ask his parents for more.

Staring at the box of condoms, Jason Hart struggled to remember who he had used them with, contemplating inheriting those unhealthy relationships, feeling a bit helpless.

As for the previous Jason Hart, he had never experienced hardships in his entire life.

Emma clearly didn't believe the "cutting apples" explanation. She had also seen the contents of Jason Hart's backpack, her face slightly red as she glared at him.

Seeing her blush, Jason Hart immediately misunderstood and tentatively asked Emma in a low voice, "This box... is it... yours?"

Turning his head to seriously observe Emma, both of them in school uniforms, the only difference being that she was wearing a skirt.

Long legs, slender waist, fair skin – not an otherworldly beauty, but definitely a pure and beautiful appearance that would make her a school flower. This kind of beauty from the student days would disappear quickly in the hustle and bustle of the world.

Staring at Emma, Jason Hart thought that using these items on her would definitely not be a waste."

Go to hell!"

Sensing his aggressive gaze, Emma immediately changed the subject. Her fair face turned even redder as she continued, "You're acting up again. If you want a woman, go find your 'sweetie,' but don't even think about making advances on me. Be careful; I'll tell your dad you're bullying me! And here I am helping you with your homework!"

"...Who's 'sweetie'?"

Jason Hart really couldn't remember and tentatively continued to ask.

Emma treated it as if he had forgotten on purpose, rolled her eyes, and handed him the workbook. After that, she closed her eyes, indicating that she didn't want to talk to him.

Jason Hart pursed his lips.

Admiring his own life on one hand and despising it on the other.

But it must be admitted that there was still a bit of anticipation for the days ahead.

Having had several relationships before, but breaking up several times for various reasons, especially with the one he had lived with for over three years. They were at the stage of talking about marriage, but it fell apart due to materialistic issues.

Her parents looked down on him for living with relatives since childhood, having no support and no money. The work was too hard, following projects everywhere, sometimes staying for two or three years. Some things just couldn't be achieved through effort alone.

After breaking up with his live-in girlfriend, she surprisingly found a new partner and got married successfully within two months. It made him lose faith in love and led to self-abandonment.

Now, starting over, everything was a fresh beginning, with a feeling of having the world at his feet.

He chuckled.

Jason Hart casually flipped through the history workbook and praised Emma's neat and elegant handwriting, almost like a calligraphy model.

At this moment.

Jason Hart complimented, "Your handwriting is quite beautiful, but it looks like a girl's. Won't they find out when you submit it?"

Being criticized for writing someone else's homework, Emma had a thousand complaints but was already accustomed to it.

She continued to lean against the car door with closed eyes, saying, "Are you still afraid of teachers? They've already given up on you. Your dad is considering donating some money to secure your admission. At least it'll cost three to four million dollars. My dad is in charge of finding a way, and he wants to know where you'd like to go."

Upon hearing this, Jason Hart was instantly shocked!

He exclaimed, "Three to four million dollars? Just to buy me a diploma? That's insane! Give me that money; I'll work my ass off to get into college!"

"You think you can?" Emma mocked.

"With so much money, even if I can't, I have to find a way. I'm actually quite smart; I just don't want to study."

Jason Hart felt it was necessary to talk to his old man.

In his previous life, he had at least attended a prestigious university, belonging to the category of hardworking and intelligent students.

Although he had gradually become a seasoned professional in society, giving back a lot of knowledge to the teachers, if he studied seriously for a few months, dealing with the college entrance exam shouldn't be a big problem.

At this moment, Jason Hart felt that his old man had gone crazy.

In his opinion, with three to four million dollars, why bother with studying? Buying two buildings for rental income sounded much better.

Understanding the mindset of rich people was indeed difficult.

If he could get those three to four million dollars with a little effort in a few months, he would gladly do it, even if it meant going streaking at the crowded Senado Square.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt the need to talk to his old man.

Perhaps due to his old man being too rich, Jason Hart found it hard to feel repulsed by the idea of acknowledging his family.

Although it felt a bit awkward, bottom lines could be adjusted according to circumstances. After all, he wasn't an inexperienced kid anymore

....

The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit delivered them to the school gate.

Rose High School was located near the racecourse, close to the seaside.

The new campus had been built just a few years ago, not too large in scale but looked modern.

It came with a small golf course, a racecourse, tennis courts, and more.

As the class time approached, numerous luxury cars lined up at the school gate.

A custom-made school uniform cost tens of thousands in gambling city currency. It was challenging for ordinary families to have their children study at this prestigious school. Even Emma, with outstanding grades, owed her enrollment to Jason Hart's influence, securing her a spot.

Stepping out of the car, Jason Hart was basking in the aura of being a second-generation rich kid.

Strictly speaking, his family had been wealthy for more than two generations. His father, George, started from humble beginnings and arrived in the gambling city with nothing but a dilapidated boat. He successfully married Jason Hart's mother, essentially becoming part of the wealthy family.

Back in the 1960s and 70s, Jason Hart's grandfather was already a renowned tycoon in the gambling city, mainly involved in plastics and pharmaceutical businesses.

When Jason Hart was a child, he followed his mother. Later, when George became affluent, he insisted on changing his son's name to match his surname, leading to some unpleasant disputes between the two families.

Therefore, Jason Hart could be considered a third-generation heir to the family wealth. At least in this gambling city, their roots were deep, and even if they went to the other side of the harbor, they wouldn't be lacking.

Just as he was reveling in his glory for a moment, a voice reached his ears.

A young man with dyed blond hair, accompanied by a few lackeys, had a malicious grin on his face. He said to Jason Hart:"

Jason Hart, your dad is almost bankrupt in Hong Kong, scrambling to borrow from loan sharks everywhere. Yet, here you are, still able to laugh. It won't be long before this news spreads. My dad will be riding on top of yours. Losing over ten billion dollars, the taste must be exhilarating, haha..."
