Chapter 6 - Heavyweight Black Pot

Originally just keeping an eye on the teacher named Linda, Jason Hart didn't expect her to be watching him too.

Jason Hart was quite surprised, revealing a genuinely innocent smile.

The next moment, Linda said, "Others, please review the content on page twenty-two. Jason Hart, come out, and follow me to the office!"

"Me?"

"Yes, you!"

The entire class turned their gaze, all looking at Jason Hart.

Even Liam, who had swaggered into the classroom even though he was late, seemed visibly stunned, probably sensing the teacher's displeasure and toning down his attitude a bit.

Jason Hart, realizing the imminent trouble, guessed that he, as the newcomer, was going to bear the blame for the past version of himself once again.

Seeing Linda walk out of the classroom, he obediently followed.

Walking behind her, Jason Hart, at six feet tall, realized that this teacher wasn't much shorter than him.

Her slender figure made her appear even taller, especially with the high heels. The morning sun illuminated her black stockings with a subtle shine.

In the adjacent classroom, Emma noticed Jason Hart following the teacher. She sighed in resignation, continued reading her book, thinking it might be about doing someone else's homework and getting caught again.

In the shared office of the two teachers:

Linda's colleagues had gone to class, leaving only Jason Hart and her.

After they both sat down, Linda took a sip of water, feigned maturity, and with a serious tone, said to Jason Hart, "Please sit. I've been wanting to talk to you about why your writing skills are so... ordinary."

Saying "ordinary" was already giving him face; it was actually quite terrible.

Once again, Jason Hart felt the shadow of being questioned by a teacher face to face. It had been a while since he experienced this feeling.

Of course, he wasn't afraid, and there was no need to be restrained.

He talked endlessly, telling her, "It's because I had a disagreement with my family, didn't feel like studying. Recently, I've come to realize my parents' hardships. I promise to work hard in the future, no matter what, I can't let my dad's hard-earned thirty to forty million dollars go to waste just to buy me an admission."

Linda fell silent.

She knew these students were not simple, especially Jason Hart and a few others. Their parents were all big shots in the business world.

While she didn't find it easy to accept, Linda nodded and continued, "Understanding and appreciating your parents... that's not easy, which is good. What I really wanted to talk to you about today is the love letter you gave me, which almost got seen by the principal. It made me very embarrassed. Please don't let such a thing happen again, or I'll have to talk to your parents, understand?"

"What?"

Hearing the words "love letter," Jason Hart widened his eyes unintentionally.

He had no memory of this incident, but then again, he felt like it was something he could have done.

This blame was quite heavy.

He underestimated the courage of his past self.

As a teacher, Linda, with limited work experience, was dealing with such trouble for the first time and found it difficult and tricky.

Organizing her words carefully, she continued, "At your age, having a crush is normal and healthy. But I am your teacher, and you are my student. Please focus your thoughts on studying. If this gets out, I'll definitely lose face and may have to resign. Do you understand that it's against the law?"

Even with Jason Hart's thick skin, he was starting to feel the pressure.

Seeing his strange expression, Linda, fearing she might hurt the student and affect his mental state, added, "Your life has just begun, and you're not bad-looking. There will be many girls who will like you in the future. How about this... if your grades improve, after you graduate and enter university, I promise to treat you to a meal. Is that okay?"

After hearing this, Jason Hart laughed.

Mainly because he thought about how a previous homeroom teacher would have scolded him, and even without involving parents, that would have been considered lenient. How could it be so cordial and well-spoken?

Finding a way out, Jason Hart nodded immediately, "Sure, it's a deal! I promise to study hard!"

Mainly because he felt sorry for the tens of millions spent on buying the degree.

Linda seemed to have misunderstood, thinking that he, being a young person, had found motivation and would be enthusiastic. It seemed relatively easy to deal with.

Although it was a bit strange, Linda thought it was undoubtedly a good thing.

In the class, the bottom-ranking students, including Jason Hart, had been a headache for her and the school leaders. They were afraid it would lower this year's college admission rate, and Jason Hart's grades were undoubtedly one of the reasons for the delay.

Taking out the love letter from the drawer, Linda asked, "This love poem you gave me, did you copy it? I saw it during my university days, titled 'When You Are Old,' right? Let me test you, how about that?"

Su Yehao took the paper, and as he read its content, his scalp felt numb. He wished he could dig a hole and hide in it.

The love poem on the paper roughly meant—

"When you are old, and grey, and full of sleep,

And nodding by the fire..."

Even though he had graduated from college and had been assigned the task of writing articles by the boss, during his daydreaming, Linda asked again, "Have you thought about it?"

Jason Hart snapped back to reality, and a classic plot instantly jumped into his mind. He supplemented it with a smile and replied, "You look at the clouds now, and you look at me later. When you look at the clouds, you're very close, but when you look at me, you're far away. I asked if you wanted to plant flowers, and you said you didn't want to see them wither bit by bit. Yes, to avoid the end, you avoid all beginnings."

After a few seconds of silence, Linda burst into laughter.

She stared at Jason Hart, puckered her lips, and told him, "Put away your flirtatious eyes. Don't forget what I just said. If you continue to act up, I really will have to resign. After all, the school won't expel kids from wealthy families like yours; they'll only blame me. Your mouth is so sweet, and your tone is so slick. I don't know how many girls will suffer in the future."

Jason Hart almost blurted out, asking if she would suffer too, but he held back.

Even if he wasn't worried about being called to his parents, it was still better to avoid unnecessary trouble...
