As Harold left, Alden attempted to stop Leo.
"Brother Leo, have you lost your mind? you value money over your own life?"
Some people didn't understand why Leo would agree to fight Harold, but Alden was sure. Leo did it to get the hundred taels of gold he needed to buy some wild wolf blood.
As Alden thought about it, he started pulling Leo outside all of a sudden. "We should use this chance to our advantage and sneak away. Harold has made it clear that he wants to kill you. It won't be too late to get back at him after the fact if we stay away from him."
It was nice of Alden to think about Leo. From his point of view, if Leo fought Harold, Harold would win, and he would be certain to die. That's not as good as leaving. What a face. You really care about martial arts! What's more important than living?
But despite Alden pulling on Leo, Leo remained unmoved. Alden looked at him and said, "Calm down. I know what that is. When I'm not sure about something, I wouldn't risk it. I had been cultivating hard for a few days and had already reached the third stage of body-refining."
Alden was shocked all of a sudden. New thoughts occurred to him. Third-level body refining is different from fourth-level body refining. This was called knowing one's limit.
Leo had already gone over, though. Given that Leo was already set on going to the arena and that his advice wouldn't help, he had no choice but to go with him and see what happened.
Harold was also afraid that Leo would run off in the middle of the walk, so when he saw Leo catch up, he humped and kept going forward.
The place for fighting. It was only a ring, though. Both sides could go in on their own if they needed to use force for something. No one would be charged, no matter what happened.
But the martial arts theater was empty when no one was there, and when someone did, it was a life-or-death fight. No one wanted to play jokes with their lives unless they had to.
On the way to the martial arena, Harold's servants kept informing passersby that their house's youthful lord was about to fight in the arena for a round. Harold, in their opinion, would undoubtedly triumph against Leo. Calling more people over would also help their young master acquire a lot of respect.
The rumor that there were people preparing to battle in the martial arts arena traveled swiftly. Immediately, some traveling martial artists rushed over. When there was a duel in the martial arts arena, the atmosphere was always vibrant. Martial artists were all those who valued strength. What else could draw more people except a life-or-death duel?
At this point, four totally white Snow Dragon Horses were gently pulling a beautiful carriage into Spirit Material Street. The carriage's insignia showed its origins!
City Lord's Mansion!
For all the soldiers in and around Stellaria City, the City Lord's Mansion was the pinnacle of their existence. The Whitaker family, the top clan in a hamlet, stood out in front of the City Lord's Mansion like the bright moon against the far stars.
"What is going on? Why is this street so busy today?" Suddenly, a pleasant and calm voice resonated from within the carriage. Hearing the voice was like having a pleasant wind pass by, refreshing people's hearts.
Instantly, the guard accompanying the carriage said to the "Young Miss, Please wait. This subordinate will conduct an immediate investigation."
The guard quickly returned, saying, "Young Miss Freya, it appears like there are individuals fighting in the martial arena. Many martial artists have rushed over to watch.
"Eh? Today's luck appears to be rather excellent. We managed to catch up with several folks who were battling. Cassia, let us quickly go to see." A second sharp, and vibrant voice emerged from the same carriage. Obviously, this wagon carried more than one female.
"I really can't deal with you." The soft voice said it again, sounding a little helpless. Then she told the guard outside, "Take us to the martial arena to have a look."
"Yes, go faster. If we wait too long, it will be over." She displayed an eager anticipation to witness the combat.
The guard answered with an assent but was secretly thinking to himself: Cassia Young Miss and Freya Young Miss had such different temperaments; he couldn't understand why they got along so well, but he didn't dare to ponder about it for too long. He directed the car to proceed onward.
The carriage proceeded towards the martial arena at a significantly increased pace compared to earlier.
Spirit Material Street normally did not allow carriages to enter, although there were always exceptions. The City Lord Mansion's carriage was undoubtedly one of them.
The fast-paced carriage instantly drew a crowd's ire, but as they saw the insignia on the carriage, they all swallowed their rage. Who in Stellaria City would dare to provoke the City Lord's Mansion?
At the time, the martial arenas were packed to the brim with people, but when the City Lord Mansion's carriage arrived, the throng swiftly moved aside, making room for the carriage, but they were also quite inquisitive. Why had even the folks from the City Lord's Mansion come to observe the duel?
As the carriage drew to a stop, a tiny hand appeared. The carriage's curtain was eventually raised. Two gorgeous young females exited the car. Immediately, several martial artists' eyes lit up!
The first person to exit the van was a young girl in a blue dress with shoulder-length hair that floated behind her and a gorgeous face flushed with excitement.
Following her, another young woman in a white outfit stood in front of the audience. Her face was pink, her figure was slim like a swan, she had a sweet personality that drew everyone's attention, a head of black hair that flowed down to her back, and a tiny grin on her lips. She had almost no blemishes from head to toe, making it impossible not to appreciate her.
If the first blue-dressed young girl was lovely, this delicate white-dressed young lady exuded purity. Even the most miserable person would be unable to imagine vulgar thoughts about her.
When the two young females emerged, they immediately became the center of the stadium.
Even Leo and Harold, who were about to take the stage, couldn't help but turn their heads and stare. Being able to see such lovely people in person will make for a memorable experience.
"Older brother Leo, how are you? Isn't it pretty?" The little obese Alden giggled, his two little eyes transformed into slits.
When Leo saw the two females, he couldn't help but nod and ask, "Who are those two girls?"
"Hehe, you asked the correct guy. Although I am not as good at fighting as you, but you cannot compare to me when it comes to females." Alden said pleasantly, "Do you see that girl in white? Her name is Cassia Silverstone, and she is the sole daughter of Stellaria City's City Lord. A real catch! And she is widely regarded as Stellaria City's top beauty, lol. If someone could marry her, they'd truly make it! Not only would they obtain a beautiful woman, but they would also receive Stellaria City as a dowry."
"Also, don't think of her as kind and sensitive. On her cultivation route, she has fully inherited the City Lord's cultivation skills. According to rumors, she has already advanced to the sixth degree of physical refinement! She will become a key disciple of the Zephyr Blade Sect by default."
"Body refining at the sixth level?! Zephyr Blade Sect's primary disciple?!" Leo was dumbfounded. He was taken aback: "She appears to be about my age, doesn't she? She has already advanced to the sixth stage of bodily refinement."
Alden curled his lips and said, "Older brother Leo, you've got it right. Specifically, she is a few months younger than you."
But Alden instantly regretted saying this. He didn't want to shake his elder brother Leo's trust, so he quickly added, "She's the only daughter of the city lord. Naturally, she has many positive qualities. She's also received high-level cultivation techniques since a young age, as well as a variety of dan medications to aid. Naturally, her cultivation rate would be faster than ours. We are not on the same level as them, so there's no need to compare..."
"I will definitely surpass her in the future!" Leo confidently addressed Cassia.
"Uh…" Alden discovered that his fears were unfounded. Someone with the potential to undermine Leo's confidence has most likely not yet been born. He stopped thinking about it and went on to introduce the second person.
"The girl in blue on the side is Freya Sterling. Her identity is likewise unusual. Not only is she the Sterling family patriarch's youngest daughter, but she is also the most popular. Oh, the Sterlings are Stellaria City's richest family. According to rumors, their company has expanded to several adjacent communities. We are presently on Spirit Material Street, which belongs to the Sterling family. The Sterling and Silverstone families had an extraordinarily good friendship. When the two families worked together, they ruled Stellaria City.
After Alden finished speaking, Leo simply nodded slightly. From a common standpoint, he and those females were on entirely different levels, yet he would one day outperform them.
"Well, isn't this meant to be a duel? How come no one is on the stage? Did we arrive too late? Lin Cassia's forehead wrinkled as she talked.
To the side, Cassia Silverstone grinned slightly and asked, "What are you so impatient about. Aren't there two individuals standing just beneath the stage? "That should be them."
Freya followed Cassia Silverstone's gaze and saw Leo and Harold's people beneath the stage.
Harold was overjoyed when Cassia Silverstone and Freya Sterling arrived to watch. It was literally paradise that helped me!
He had not expected his luck to be so good. After suggesting a battle, Stellaria City's two most important households' young misses gathered to watch. What would the City Lord's Mansion and the Lin family be worth in comparison to the Whitaker family?
But if he could gain their favor at all, wouldn't that be walking a direct path to the heavens? It didn't matter if it was Cassia or Freya; both were breathtakingly beautiful. If he could spend one night with one of them, Harold started to conceive of impossible things.
What mattered most was that he was facing off against Leo. Harold believed he had a certain victory. He had to make sure he won in style!
Harold shivered with excitement as he thought about this. He could not pass up such a great chance.
Reluctantly suppressing his enthusiasm, Harold turned his hot gaze away from Cassia and Freya and tried to be cool by reopening the folding fan in his palm and softly shaking it twice. Then he ordered, "Leo, get on stage."
After speaking, Harold took the first step into the ring.
Leo stopped speaking and got into the ring. After fighting this round, he was still concerned about purchasing materials!
"Make a good effort, older brother Leo! I support you!" Alden pumped his fist at Leo from underneath the stage. In this critical period, the tiny fatty continued to assist Leo.
