Chapter 12 - Fight

Leo and Harold's actions finally drew back the attention of the crowd. They had almost forgotten that they had come to the martial arts arena to watch a duel.

Seeing that the two young ladies to the side were watching, Harold wanted to impress them and shook his fan. Gracefully, he said, "Leo, don't say that I'm the strong bullying the weak. In this battle, as long as you can handle three of my moves, we'll consider it your win, okay?"

"I don't mind however many moves, but you've agreed to my demands, and don't forget it. If I win, you have to give me two hundred taels of gold." Leo was worried that Harold would take his word back afterwards, so he said it in public. If afterwards Harold tried to go back on his word, then, under the eyes of the crowd, he would lose respect. He would be looked down upon by all of the martial artists in Stellaria City.

"It's only two hundred taels of gold, barely mentionable. You should first think about how you're going to endure three moves." Harold was determined not to lose any face in front of Cassia and Freya. Despite the fact that he didn't have enough money, he slapped his face until it was swollen enough to appear imposing.

The crowd around them could clearly hear their conversation. When the martial artists heard it, they began jeering and wanting the two to hurry up and fight.

"Cassia, which of those two is stronger? That guy holding the fan seems to have an unrestrained sort of bearing, claiming that he'll beat the opponent in three moves." Freya curiously asked. Although she also practiced martial arts, her talent wasn't as good as Cassia's. Right now, she was only at the fourth level of martial arts training and couldn't clearly see Leo and Harold's levels.

Cassia smiled slightly as she explained: "The one holding the fan is at the fourth level of martial arts training, and his opponent, the young man, is at the peak of the third level."

"Ah? Then the distance isn't even that large, ah? Won't beating the opponent in only three moves be a little difficult?" Freya said it in unbelief.

Cassia shook her head. "It seems that the person holding the fan has the attitude of a young master of a rich family and wants to force out a certain clan. If he has any martial skill, he should be able to do it in three moves."

"Then put it like this: is that young man in any danger?" Freya was deeply concerned for Leo's safety, her heart pounding with worry. Her heart was soft from birth, even though she was mischievous. She didn't want to see others bullied.

The clothes Harold wore looked magnificent, while Leo looked like he was from a poor family. Naturally, it was easy to win over her sympathy.

Cassia was about to open her mouth when she discovered that the two people on stage had already begun to move. She immediately said: "The duel has started. Watch it first."

During the time that the two beauties were talking, Leo and Harold's fight finally began.

Harold took the initiative by launching a pre-emptive strike. As soon as he closed his fan, his legs released a great deal of force, propelling him towards Leo at high speed.

The distance between the two suddenly shortened. When he was less than two meters away from Leo, Harold suddenly changed his fist into a claw, directly clawing Leo's neck.

With the intention of showcasing his family's inherited martial skill, the Dragon Seizing Hand, Harold aimed to defeat Leo with a single move.

As a disciple of the Whitaker family, Harold was naturally eligible to practice the Dragon Seizing Hand. While his talent didn't match Franklin Whitaker's, Harold had dedicated a considerable amount of time to practicing this move. At this point, the Dragon Seizing Hand was already emitting some flames. He clawed out with lightning-fast speed and tiger-like strength.

Harold's claw attack made some people below the stage cry out!

"Martial skill! It's actually a martial skill!"

If there were people who thought that Harold was just a rich playboy based on how he was dressed previously, then they would cease those thoughts at this time. For most martial artists without access to specialized training, acquiring a martial skill was beyond their reach. Only by joining the Zephyr Blade Sect or another sect could they access specific martial skills.

Right now, Harold was not only a level higher than Leo; he also had pretty good martial skills in his hands. From the crowd's perspective, this fight's result was already set in stone. The outcome of the match was so certain that there was no element of suspense for the spectators.

It was evident that this duel did not involve opponents of equal strength. The only way to have a good fight would be if Leo also had a martial skill, but looking at Leo's clothing, he was at most the child of a small clan. How could he possess a martial skill in such circumstances?

At that moment, Cassia and Freya, standing on the side, had a surprised expression. They were both nobles, unreachable martial artists to commoners. Having witnessed numerous events, they could recognize them at a glance.

Freya unconsciously gripped Cassia's arm tightly, subconsciously worrying for Leo.

Seeing that Leo's face was already so close, a trace of excitement flashed across Harold's face. If he managed to grab Leo's neck, he believed he could secure victory instantly. He had only made three moves as insurance.

Facing the charging Harold, Leo's face was solemn, but unafraid at all.

He stood firmly, displaying the Large Foundation Fist, his entirety was focused on Harold's Dragon Seizing Hand that was charging forward.

While Harold possessed a martial skill, Leo's advantage lay in his blinking sword skill.

The Blinking Sword Skill was indeed a sword skill, but there were commonalities between martial skills. The Blinking Sword Skill emphasized speed, fierceness, and accuracy. These three words were the exact same for fist skills.

Suddenly, Harold's Dragon Seizing Hand had charged right in front of Leo. Harold's eyes were staring at Leo's neck. Freya was even more worried, her heart pounding!

And it was just at this dangerous moment that Leo finally moved!

His left foot went back a little, allowing him to avoid Harold's attack, and at the same time, the muscles in his right arm suddenly bulged up, sending out a fist with 1000 jins worth of force, striking Harold's hand in a flash.

Harold's power that was in the Dragon Seizing Hand was instantly broken!

"Ah!" Harold cried out in pain, retreating quickly. Right now, his right hand is bent in an abnormal direction. Leo had actually dislocated it in this exchange.

Despite being at the body refining third level, Leo's strength rivaled that of the fourth level. This punch's strength had at least 1500 jin's power. How could Harold, who hadn't prepared at all, bear this pain?

"Wow! This kid's fist is very fast! Very accurate!"

"I didn't see it wrong just now, right? That was a large foundation, Fist right? Since when did the Large Foundation Fist have this sort of power?"

Leo's single punch shattered Harold's Dragon Seizing Hand, prompting another round of astonished exclamations from the audience. In fact, the noise level was even louder than when Harold had pulled out his dragon-seizing hand.

While it was expected for a martial artist with a skill to defeat one without, countering the Dragon Seizing Hand with the Large Foundation Fist was unprecedented. Moreover, anyone could see that Harold was at a higher level than Leo.

Dueling someone at a higher level!

Anyone who could duel someone at a higher level is an incredible genius. No one thought they would encounter a martial artist who could duel someone at a higher level in Spirit Materials Street, much less with the Large Foundation Fist!

As Leo's punch drove Harold back, Cassia's eyes widened in astonishment and excitement. As the saying goes, if it seemed exciting to outsiders, it would be even more so for insiders. Just now, Leo's fist was actually very extraordinary. Not only was it seizing a good opportunity, it was also a very precise attack on Harold's flaws around his arm. It could be described using the three words fast, fierce, and precise to the extremes. In a brief moment, he could assess the situation with such precision. This was not something that a normal martial artist could do.

Cassia suddenly felt a bit of interest in this battle. She wanted to see what other surprises this Leo guy could bring out.

The reason that Leo could see through Harold's flaws around his arm was naturally because of the blinking sword skill. For a swordsman, detecting weaknesses came instinctively.

Freya on the side couldn't contain her excitement and began exclaiming loudly. Originally, she had been worried about Leo being bullied. She hadn't thought that the situation would be reversed in the blink of an eye. Not only had Leo avoided Harold's attack, he had even injured Harold.

Because Harold had been so arrogant and Leo seemed so weak before, in Freya's eyes, Harold was already seen as a big bully and was naturally rooting for Leo to win in her heart.

If Harold knew his position with these two young ladies, he would've wanted to die. He tried to appear cool, but ended up looking like a bully.

"You're really good! No wonder you dared to go against me. So you were hiding this hand!" Harold ferociously stared at Leo as he spoke. This move had made him lose a lot of face. At this time, he was no longer giving off a cool impression.

As he spoke, Harold forcefully twisted his right arm back into place, emitting a muffled cry of pain. He put his dislocated arm back in place. He was a ruthless person. He corrected his own bones. But within a short time, this right arm would not be able to use a lot of strength.

"Even with only one hand at my disposal, I can kill you with ease!" Harold growled. He placed his folding fan in his right hand and once again charged forward.

His left hand struck out, still using the Dragon Seizing Hand, but this time, the crowd below the stage was no longer worried for Leo. Instead, they were looking at how the young man on the stage would continue to use the Large Foundation Fist to break the move.

Leo naturally did not disappoint. Facing Harold's crazy attack, his steps were not disorganized, each punch contained the essence of the three words: fast, fierce, and precise.

Such a wonderful performance made the crowd that was watching from below the stage feel intoxicated. It was a revelation for the spectators to witness the true potential of the Large Foundation Fist in action. It could be used to successfully confront a skilled martial artist.

It should be known that the Large Foundation Fist was the most common fist skill. Almost every martial artist has learned it before. Seeing Leo's performance, they all decided that next time they would definitely delve properly into the Large Foundation Fist.

Cassia was enraptured, watching the battle unfold with awe and fascination. Her outlook was higher than that of the crowd below. She could see that Leo was not only fighting back, he was at an advantage. The reason he hadn't ended the fight was because he was using Harold to practice. Most likely, Harold himself did not realize that his seemingly fierce attacks were merely providing practice for Leo.

Cassia's astonishment at Leo's use of the Large Foundation Fist against a more skilled opponent, who still had the upper hand, was overwhelming. The spectacle of this battle had truly made the trip worthwhile.
