The machinery was connected to a single copper pipe that jutted out of the wall. Odd. Very odd. Sebastian walked up to it and tapped it, and then noticed there was a dial on the edge of it, with every letter of the alphabet, and finally, etched on the top of it was the words, "Oop your cousin ______"
"It's a code." Sebastian sighed. Jylan stared at the pipe.
"Well, what does it say?" Jylan prompted, and Sebastian sighed. "Oop, your cousin, and then six dashes." Jylan grinned. "Then, isn't the missing word 'choked'? That's what was on the pages, afterall."
Sebastian slowly turned the dial on the pipe.
Then something snapped open, and a vial fell out onto the floor with a tinkle of glass.
Then Sebsstian got an idea. He picked up the vial and held it out to Jylan.
"Here, drink this, Jylan."
Uh. It could have been poison, but Sebastian tried to ignore that possibility. Hopefully this was something that could help heal Jylan's eyes. Jylan uncapped the vial and held it to his lips, then drowned the whole thing in one gulp.
