Sebastian didn't like fighting. He didn't think anyone who was straight in the head did. Eris, meanwhile, looked as calm as a river. Sebastian, who had followed him back to the dusty market, now had a white bandana tied over his face, and a single iron chest plate but nothing else. Not even a dagger. Eris, meanwhile, looked like the captain of the imperial guard.
"Not fair," Sebastian muttered, and Eris, who somehow seemed to know what he was thinking, rolled his eyes. "Then you should have used some of the money yourself, instead of giving it all away. Charity is stupid."
"You're the one that got the charity money!" Sebastian snapped, and Eris stuck out his tongue. "I would have survived without it, I'm sure." Sebastian grabbed Eri's ear and twisted, leaving the suntanned blob of skin yelping in pain.
"Alright! I get it! Stop!" Eris said, and Sebastian let go and then pulled his bandana slightly higher. Finally, they reached the battlefield. Already, people were starting to line up, swords drawn, in a loose bundle. On the opposite side, there was a cloud of dust, and multiple silhouettes in the said dark cloud, which was the said army of Jylan's dukedom.
Huh. Now that I realize it, this is kind of an odd thing to do. Prince against Dukedom? His lover's Dukedom at that? All hail plot armor!
Sebastian took a deep breath. and took a dagger out of his sleeve. "What an idiot. And you said you didn't have anything to fight with." Eris muttered under his breath, and Sebastian shot him a look, and then realized there were more important things to pay attention to than a young boy's tantrums, and turned to the battlefield.
Hm. The main characters never die. They're practically immortal.
Sebastian didn't know that, though, of course.
