VAMPIRES
Vampires are undead creatures that subsists by feeding on the vital essence (vitality) present in the blood of the living.
NATURAL ABILITIES
Vampires are reborn with three natural abilities.
1. Immortality
2. Enhanced Sense and Physique (This include their beauty.)
3. Enhanced Regeneration
VAMPIRE POWERS
Vampire powers can be grouped into two.
1. Aura
2. Tattoos
AURA
An Aura is an ethereal mass of ignited vitality. It is the oldest and most basic vampire power. When a vampire manifests an Aura, it gives the following abilities:
1. 360 degree vision: An Aura is like a second eye, letting a vampire see everything within its radius. Even things that can't be seen due to line of sight like the other side of a solid wall.
2. Empathy: Vampires can lace their emotions or feelings into their Aura, using it to intimidate enemies or hypnotize humans.
3. Telekinesis: Vampires get weak telekinesis from their Auras. It's so weak that some vampires ignore this ability entirely.
Note: A vampire's Aura starts weak but grows stronger as a vampire ages.
TATTOOS
The vampire ability that offers the most firepower is the Blood Tattoos. Blood tattoos are tattoos done using blood ink (a mixture of blood and ink.) After inscription, the tattoos are inert. To activate them, a steady supply of vitality is needed.
Tattoos can only take the form of a monster because (spoilers. Read the book to find out!) However, vampires can't tattoo too many monsters because the more monsters, the harder it is to ascend. Most vampires have two monsters only. The monsters can have powers that the vampires can use.
TIERS OF ASCENSION
Vampires do not need to wait for old age to grow stronger. Most vampires grow stronger by ascending. Each tier of ascension is called a Ring.
The rings are the stages of development in a vampire. Each ring grants a new power in addition to the abilities the vampire already possess. These new powers are consistent across all vampires, but everyone has their own variation. The rings are:
0 RING (Newborn)
Newborn vampires are vampires who are yet to acquire a tattoo. They only have access to their Aura and natural abilities.
1st RING (Fusion)
Fusion grants vampires the ability to fuse with their beasts, gaining the powers of the monsters and letting them transform into them.
2nd RING (Creation)
Creation grants vampires the ability to choose only one object that they can create freely using their vitality. Once the object runs out of vitality, it disappears. Once chosen, this cannot be changed. However, they can make more than one copy of the object.
3rd RING (Astral Projection)
Astral projection gives vampires the ability to visit any place not a private dwelling with their mind. They can use it to spy or communicate over long distances.
4th RING (Teleportation)
Just as the name suggests, the fourth ring allows a vampire to travel anywhere with just a single step. Teleportation.
5th RING (Pocket Dimension)
The 5th ring grants a pocket dimension. A personal space for anything you want to store. Like the heads of a thousand enemies. Or the thousand cartons of your favorite tea brand you bought. A vampire can also hide temporarily inside the dimension.
6th RING (Dominion)
Dominion grants the ability to enhance or weaken the ability of other people. Basically a super buff and nerf. Sixth ring vampires are the best to have during a battle.
7th RING (Foresight)
This is the ability to see forward in time. The future is not always clear or specific but skilled vampires can manipulate events to their liking. The best ones can use it in battle, predicting every move.
8th RING (Avatar)
This allows vampires to split themselves into different bodies, each one being the original. When one dies, the other bodies live on, making the vampire impossible to kill without destroying all bodies.
