Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 Tsunami

Walter and Eugene were involved in illegal activities, operating in the shadows. One of their lucrative ventures involved secretly installing cameras in dressing rooms and selling the recorded footage for a hefty profit. They had been engaged in this illicit business for quite some time.

"What do we do next... What if James Li finds out about our plans?" Eugene expressed his concern, his bald head glistening under the light.

"We're not afraid of that jerk! No matter how powerful he may be, he can't control everything." Walter replied, his hand caressing a woman in his arms with lustful intent.

They raised their glasses and clinked them together, saying, "Cheers."

"What on earth are you guys doing? Hurry up! We need to get there before it's too late." James said sternly, addressing his team. His messy, dark hair and unshaven chin revealed his worry-filled eyes as he gazed outside.

"But boss, the weather on that side is unfavorable. We have to proceed with caution." one of his men cautioned.

"I don't care! Alex is trapped there." James exclaimed, anxiety gripping his heart as he watched the heavy rain pouring down.

Due to the torrential rain and thick fog, the captain encountered difficulties in piloting the helicopter.

James took a seat and switched on his laptop. He quickly tapped on the keyboard, and the screen showed pictures of a big typhoon from a satellite.

He took a deep breath. It was even bigger than what he had seen on TV before.

"Darn!" said one of his team members when they saw the pictures. "That's scary. I hope Alexander is okay."

Another team member heard this and patted the first one on the back. "Don't worry about Alexander. He's smart. Remember when he was a kid and he used a branch to hold onto when he fell into a river?"

Hearing these words, James relaxed a bit. He couldn't help but remember what happened back then.

Alexander was a small four-year-old boy at the time. He was very mature for his age and loved reading, unlike other kids who liked to play.

They were on vacation in the countryside, where they had their own big house. There was a big river to the east, and Alexander enjoyed playing in the water, dipping his feet into the chilly river. However, on that particular day, Sofia began experiencing intense pain due to her menstrual cycle, and James accompanied her, leaving Alexander behind. Although he tried to persuade Alexander to come along, the stubborn child refused to budge. With no other choice, James left a few guards to keep an eye on him

Unfortunately, the guards didn't pay enough attention, and Alexander fell into the river. He was too small to swim.

When they came back, their hearts almost stopped when they saw the calm river and no sign of Alexander.

But Alexander was clever. He saved himself by holding onto a tree branch when he was carried away by the water.

Later, James investigated and discovered that one of the guards had pushed Alexander into the water. The guard was sent by James' enemies. James fired the guard and handed him over to the police.

Meanwhile, a powerful typhoon raced towards their location with incredible speed, its ferocious winds causing a frenzy as objects were mercilessly swept up and drawn towards its center. Inside the car, tension filled the air

"What should we do now?" Aria asked, looking scared.

"We need to find a higher place." Coral suddenly said, catching everyone's attention.

"But I don't see any higher places here." Mason said, looking outside at the long roads and trees.

"How long will it take to reach the city?" Gabriel asked.

"About an hour or so." Alexander replied, looking ahead and trying hard to drive.

Unfortunately, luck wasn't on their side that day. They saw a big wall of water, a tsunami, in the ocean. Their eyes widened as it quickly came towards their car. Everyone screamed as the water splashed over them.

"Ahhhhh..."

"Ahahahhh..."

Suddenly, everything became silent.

The hurricane came closer and closer.
