Coral was confused. Why was Jake smiling to himself like that? She shrugged her shoulders and followed him. She didn't understand why some of the other girls were giving her jealous looks when she hadn't done anything to them.
"Look, sweetheart, we've reached the office." Jake said, throwing her his famous smirk as he leaned toward her.
Coral stepped back. She didn't like how close he was getting. "Don't call me sweetheart! And thanks for helping me." she said, walking inside. Jake gave off a weird vibe, and she didn't want to get entangled with him.
"Looks like you've found your true love, Jake." his friend Ash smirked as he approached him.
Jake's smile stiffened suddenly. "No way! I can't fall in love. I just sleep around with no emotions." he said coldly, lifting his legs to stride away.
Ash watched his back and ran a hand through his hair before following him, his white shoes making a loud sound on the floor as he hurried to catch up.
