Wang's Pov.
Liu handed Zhan a small gift box, and as Zhan opened it, his eyes widened in surprise. The stone inside sparkled, making his green eyes glow like the setting sun. It was the Amethyst Glamour Amulet.
"Liu, I can't believe it!" I exclaimed. "He has had that amulet for over a thousand years. I have begged him several times to give it to me, but he refused!"
Liu laughed and said, "I gave you something special before you followed me to Uscana; don't be greedy, Wang!
Zhan, "The Amethyst Glamour Amulet may be ancient, but it can bring you luck and prosperity wherever you go," Liu beams.
Zhan grinned widely. "Thank you so much, Liu! This is the best gift I have ever received!"
"You're welcome, Zhan. I'm glad you like it." Liu smiled.
I'm glad you gave it to Zhan and not anyone else. I smiled.
We walked to the meadow, the sun shining brightly. Zhan's eyes widened as he took in the sight of the tall grass swaying in the wind and the wildflowers blooming in the meadow. He chuckled in delight, and I couldn't help but smile in response.
I am pleased that Meng has fulfilled all of her promises, and as a result, my happiness knows no bounds. She took care of everything diligently and efficiently, ensuring every task was completed. The meadow now boasts exquisite beauty. The vibrant colors of the flowers and the lush greenery create a picturesque scene that is a delight to behold.
I admire Zhan's impeccable appearance. He looked stunning in his outfit, which perfectly complemented his features. His stylish attire highlighted his charm and elegance, making him a sight for sore eyes.
"Omg, this is beautiful!" Zhan exclaimed. He turned and twirled around, the evening sun melting on his face, making him look like a deity.
I couldn't help but smile at his infectious enthusiasm. I leaned in and kissed him softly, feeling a swell of joy in my heart. He kissed me back, and we shared a blissful moment of pure happiness.
I pulled away and we sat at the round table. A waiter soon appeared with drinks and food. I watched as Zhan's face lit up with delight, and I was glad I had arranged for someone to cook for us. I wanted him to be happy and seeing him so content made my heart swell with joy.
Thank you. This is the first time I've celebrated my birthday. Green-eyed smiles with teary eyes while squeezing my hand.
You can celebrate your birthday every day. I replied by kissing him.
I can get used to it. He chuckled kissing me back.
After we finished eating, I decided to take the initiative and pulled Zhan up to dance. Little did I know that it would turn out to be a disaster. Despite my best efforts to lead, he seemed to have two left feet, constantly stepping on my toes. It was frustrating, but I couldn't help but find the whole situation amusing. The missteps and awkward moments brought a smile to my face. The fact that we were both laughing made it easier to overlook the clumsy dance moves. I couldn't help but feel happy in that moment.
Zhan asked with a smile, "Can I sip from your drink?" Knowing that he had never had alcohol before, I felt a sense of responsibility to protect him. Without hesitation, I offered him my glass, and he eagerly took a sip, his face lighting up with joy. As the music faded into the background, the rest of the world seemed to disappear, leaving only Zhan standing in front of me. At that moment, he was the only thing that mattered to me.
I got down on my knees and brought out a ring. A rare ring that belonged to my mother. Liu gave it to me two days ago.
As I knelt there, my heart raced with anticipation. The weight of the ring in my hand felt both precious and heavy. It was a symbol of love and heritage, a connection to my past, and a promise for the future.
The ring had been passed down through generations in my family, a cherished heirloom that held countless stories within its gleaming metal.
With each passing day, the ring's significance grew stronger. It was not just a piece of jewelry, but a symbol of love and commitment. It held my mother's memories, and now it holds the promise of a future shared with Zhan.
As I held the ring up to the light, the gemstone sparkled with a brilliance that reflected the hope and happiness within my heart.
At that moment, I realized the weight of the responsibility that came with the ring. It was a reminder of the love and sacrifices that had been made before me and the love and sacrifices I would make in return.
I took a deep breath and nervously asked, "Will you marry me, green-eyes?".
Zhan looked confused and then laughed. "Are you sure you want to marry me?" He asked.
I smiled and nodded, squeezing his hand gently. "Yes, I'm sure, I want to marry you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." I replied, hoping he wouldn't reject an ancient hybrid like me.
He looked into my eyes. "Yes, I will marry you, he smiled and extended his hand.
With tears welling up in my eyes, I slipped the ring onto Zhan's finger. It felt like the right fit.
As I stood up from my kneeling position, I looked into Zhan's eyes. There was a shared understanding and deep connection that transcended words. The ring symbolized our commitment to each other, a bond that would withstand the test of time.
From today, the ring will be a constant reminder of the love that brought us together. It would serve as a beacon of hope during difficult times and a celebration of joy during moments of triumph.
As I gazed at the ring on his finger, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and support that had led me to this moment. As I held Zhan's hand, I knew that together we would create our own beautiful story, just as my mother and her mother had done before us.
As I lifted him, his mesmerizing green eyes captured my attention. He wrapped his hands around my neck, a gesture of trust and affection. His legs encircled my torso, bringing us closer together. Amid this intimate connection, our lips met, sealing our love with a sweet kiss.
"I love you," I whispered, my words floating between kisses like a secret shared only between us. The warmth of Zhan's presence and the depth of our connection made these three simple words feel weighty and profound. At that moment, I realized the depth of my emotions for him.
As our lips parted, he mumbled against my mouth, his voice filled with tenderness, "I love you more." His words resonated in my heart, echoing the depth of his feelings and reinforcing the bond we shared.
I am thrilled beyond words. Despite my certainty that he loved me, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of apprehension, fearing that he might reject my marriage proposal. However, at this very moment, my elation knows no bounds.
"Take me home; I feel peculiar," he exclaimed, his laughter filling the air as he playfully licked my ears.
"Feeling high and amorous, huh?" I teased him, unable to resist a playful banter.
"I have you to blame for that. You have an irresistible allure and coupled with the alcohol you provided, it's no wonder," he chuckled, his voice filled with amusement.
I'm taking Zhan back to the mansion. He is high. I mind-link Liu.
"Okay, take it easy on the poor boy," he teased before I walked away.
In no time, we were at the mansion.
Wang, are you sure you want to do this? Zhan mumbled in my ear.
"Yes, I want to." Don't you? I asked.
I do. He giggled.
I was scared you'd change your mind about marrying an old crone like me.
Sometimes I forget your age. I feel like a toddler. That's why I asked if you were sure about this. Zhan sighed.
I'm sure. I kissed him as I opened my room door.
