Jackson's Pov.
I was surprised to learn that Wang stayed at Wen Estate. However, after he explained the situation to me, I felt relieved. Despite Liu's trusting nature and willingness to give people the benefit of the doubt, I cannot trust Wen or anyone close to him. It would be foolish to do so, given the rumors and stories around him.
Wang nodded and said, "Rest up, and we can chat later." With that, he turned and walked away, leaving me to ponder the circumstances and trustworthiness of Wen.
I need to rest and get over traveling through empty space. But despite my exhaustion, I am still eager to find out who Wang wants me to look for. I pushed through and left the room they gave me to look for Wang. But he wasn't in his room, so I had to reluctantly drag my feet back and go to sleep.
When I woke up, I was surprised to see that it was already 9 p.m. I had slept for nearly 12 hours, and I couldn't believe how exhausted I had been. I felt refreshed.
After freshening up, I walked to Wang's room. When I arrived, I saw that he had also refreshed. We exchanged pleasantries, and I was ready to listen to him rant.
When Wang started talking, I was in awe. - He fell in love with someone. I was shocked and couldn't believe what I heard. Wang had always been reserved and private, so the fact that he opened up about his love life was truly unbelievable.
I couldn't help but feel happy for him, though. Seeing Wang so vulnerable and open made me realize how much he had grown and how much he trusted me. It was a beautiful moment, and I was glad to have been there to witness it.
Wang described his potential lover as having green eyes and a vanilla and strawberry scent. He even gave him a name, but he didn't know his real name. Wang's description of his lover was so vivid and detailed that I imagined him in my mind. He described his newfound love with enthusiasm. He said that his love had glowing green eyes and a smile that could light up a room.
Wang spoke of his height, weight, and even his glowing porcelain skin, despite the scars that marred it. I couldn't help but be entranced by his lover's handsomeness. Wang described him as a work of art, meticulously crafted and perfectly imperfect. It's rare to hear someone describe their partner with such detail and admiration. I can only imagine how much love and affection Wang must-have for his lover to speak of him in such a way.
The way they met made my jaw drop. It was as if fate had brought them together. When he was done explaining, we were ready to hit the club, and that was when he told me about the cocktail. He said I wouldn't be disappointed.
When we arrived at the club, we were immediately struck by the dim lighting and purple hues that illuminated the space. As we navigated the crowd, we went to Table 1, where Wen and his friends were.
We were approached by a friendly server, and I asked her to call the mixologist.
The mixologist was indeed handsome, with a charming smile and friendly demeanor. He seemed to fit the description Wang had given me, but there was something different about him. He was actually a halfling, but taller than most halflings we had encountered before. His eyes were a bright, captivating blue that seemed to sparkle in the dim light. It was as if they were made of sapphires, and I couldn't help but be captivated by them.
He seemed to have a huge crush on Wang, and despite his obvious nervousness, he could not take his eyes off him. Every time he spoke, he smiled, and his cheeks flushed when he looked at Wang. It was clear that he was smitten with him, and I could tell he was trying to make an impression.
I told the mixologist what I wanted, and he nodded, still looking at Wang, until Wang told him the same thing. I continued my conversation with Wang, and he asked me to also look for whom gave him blood wine among Wen's friends.
Despite his unusual height, the mixologist was incredibly skilled at his craft. He mixed some of the best drinks I have ever tasted.
In my head, everyone's thoughts echo constantly. It can be overwhelming at times, but I've learned to filter out thoughts that I don't want to hear. It's like being in a crowded room full of people talking at once. At first, it's difficult to distinguish one voice from another. However, I learned to tune out the noise and focus on one thing at a time.
Four people at our table seemed to be using some mind-blocking technique to shield their thoughts. In contrast, the others only had two things on their minds: alcohol and sex. It was like a never-ending loop of the same two thoughts reverberating in my head. I was curious why Wen, his sister, and two other guys blocked their thoughts. I wasn't sure how they did it, but I suspected they used dark magic. I wanted to know more. I will ask Meng about it tomorrow.
I saw the halfling coming and smiled at him. As he approached, he gestured towards Wang, and I knew drama was about to unfold. Wang was not in the right frame of mind, and it seemed like the halfling was about to become his latest victim.
Without hesitation, I nudged Wang's shoulder and nodded toward the mixologist. He walked over to Wang, but Wang pulled him roughly toward the exit.
I could see the tension in the mixologist's face as he tried to reason with Wang. But it was of no use.
I immediately followed them. Wang was a good guy deep down, but he had a temper that never got the hang of him.
"I told you to stay away from me," Wang growled at him. "Don't come near me," he sneered.
The mixologist's eyes flickered, and I swear I saw his eyes change color to gold. He sighed, his shoulders slumping in resignation. I felt a pang of sadness for him.
The halfling's gold eyes startled me. I had never seen anything like it before. "What are you doing here in Uscana?" I asked him, curious. What baffled me the most was that I couldn't hear his thoughts, unlike Wen. It was peaceful and quiet.
He is deeply in love with Wang, and it is evident. It's as clear as day. But, despite his feelings, Wang's heart belongs to someone else. These circumstances are heartbreaking, and one can only imagine how difficult it must be for him to carry on in the face of unrequited love.
Despite his pain, he continues to keep his feelings hidden. If I were in Wang's position, I would have been willing to listen to him and comfort him. His situation is undoubtedly difficult, and I can't help but feel terrible for him.
It's difficult to fathom the depth of his emotions, and it's even more challenging to imagine what it must be like to be in his shoes. Nonetheless, his love for Wang is palpable, and it's impossible to ignore. Perhaps someday someone will understand his feelings and reciprocate them. But for now, he must endure unrequited love.
As I approached the halfling, I couldn't help but notice there was something intriguing about him. He looked and smelled like any other halfling I've come across, but there seemed to be more to him than meets the eye. I had a strong urge to find out more about him and to speak with him.
Without hesitation, I asked him his name and handed him my business card. I explained to him that I needed to talk to him about something important and that I hoped he would get in touch with me soon.
I also complimented his eyes. They were a stunning combination of blue and gold. I didn't tell him, and I doubt Wang even noticed them.
There was something about this halfling that piqued my curiosity, and I couldn't wait to learn more.
Regarding Zhan, I plan on speaking with Wang about him when he is in a better mood. It is critical to approach sensitive topics with care and consideration for others' emotions. I have reached out to Liu via text message to return; he has been absent for a month.
After a night of revelry, we finally called it quits at 5 a.m. Our group had spent hours drinking, chatting, and dancing at the club. The music was loud, the drinks were flowing, and the atmosphere was electric. We lost track of time as we laughed and sang along to our favorite tunes.
After asking several questions, I have made some progress, but I am not certain yet. Before discussing this with Wang, I want to make sure I have all the facts straight. Additionally, I am intrigued by Cheng, who is Zhan's friend. Cheng appears to be quite concerned about Zhan, and I plan to speak with him this weekend.
