Rick Venaton cleared his throat in mesmerization as they stood in front of the huge gouge that ran as far as the eyes could see from left to right, the canyon looked like the end of the world they were in and the insides were shrouded by a wide thick fog.
"Where the heck is this?" Rick was a bit confused searching with his eyes the extent of the deep shrouds of darkness.
Arthur who was the little boy that followed them replied him, "This is Yomi-no-Kuni, land of the dead. It is believed to be a dark and barren realm where the souls of the deceased reside. Yomi-no-Kuni is associated with gloom and despair and is often depicted as a desolate place with rivers of the dead. Others say it's a place for wicked spirits or those with little hope for redemption, I would call it Amaterasu's turf."
Rick was surprised of the kids knowledge but shook it off when he heard about Amaterasu, heading into her own territory was nothing but trouble. "So are we here to kill her?"
Jade Argusi yawned tying her long hair into two other braids, "if we are lucky enough we would be passing by without getting noticed, but that lick would be rare and stupid, wouldn't it?"
Rick thought if the risks of getting caught, just one against two and half what were the odds of losing.
"It's not just Amaterasu to worry about if we get caught, Izanagi, Tsukiyomi no Mokito and probably Raijin might be present, so that's a lot of problem for a new devil, and I to handle on an empty belly, and man I haven't had alcohol since forever." Jade Argusi whined holding her gut in pain.
'So that's all she can say, I wish to kill another god by all means, but... I will just have to disobey when we get there! Then I will get the shot of fighting a lot of gods.' Rick let out a snotty chuckle.
Arthur tucked his hands under his cloths and explained next, "to enter Yomi, we at least need three in number. People with strong will and straight mind."
Rick was offended in thought, "wait you didn't come back for me because you wanted to?" Argusi Jade shook her head in reply. Now Rick was starting to realize what this woman truly was, 'When speaking of evil this was her in the flesh.'
"Before we go in, just remember once you get lost I ain't coming to find ya!" Argusi Jade spoke tough as always leading the way into the perilous fog of Yomi-no-Kuni.
**Devil**
Even after the long trek through the fog Rick was surprised of how much his eyes had gotten used to the thickness, he could actually see a few feet foward and was right behind Argusi and Arthur.
Rick Venaton still felt bothered of this alliance, 'Who is Arthur? Why is she moving with a child? He seems to know her and why?' Rick racked his brain in thought but found no reply forthcoming. He was still the only odd ball in this group and knee nothing if his worth to them.
'Jade doesn't need me, why am I with her?' Rick imagined him getting thrown into an endless pit, for the purpose of Jade having a much alluring posture.
He deserted the thought immediately, and decided to ask for himself, "why do you need me?"
Jade left a wide open silence maybe thinking of a reply or wanting a surreal suspense between question and answer, "you are another asset that has a like manner use in destroying heaven."
Rick was dissapointed, all she saw him as was a tool for a conquest, he wanted to get back at her and prove he could be above, not a tool but a ruler, 'This feeling it's like the bullies in my first life! I hate it.'
Arthur slowed down a bit to meet Rick tugging on his shirt for he to also reduce in velocity leaving jade to take the lead.
"Actually have you ever heard of lucifer?" Arthur asked as though a teacher talking to a student.
Rick nodded from all the religious studies he had during one if his many life's, "I do know who he is why."
"You are as strong as he is, and a key to ruling all of hell." Finally some dude that understood Rick's worth. "You are a dangerous object, a blade that cuts the hands just by looking deeply at it... The gods and devils won't hesitate to target and wipe you out because you can become the strongest and most feared being in the multi dimensions."
"I do not fully get you Arthur?" Rick only got the memo he was useful and wanted dead by all, the rest were all junk to his ears.
"Well not every blockhead can learn, but try not to die untimely, or grab her boobs and sell your life span aimlessly."
Now this bought up the question, 'what is the lifespan of devils?'

Arthur and Rick stopped right before Jade Argusi. She was staring with some sort of uneasiness in her face and soon they realized why.

Looks of it they had been at it for hours or maybe days, or maybe the infinite amount of spiritual time.
The man final swerved his gaze to the three locking unto Rick Venaton, "you liked the scene didn't you...."
