Chapter 3 - When past and present collide

There were lights everywhere, and there I was alone in a hall where an armchair sat in the center. I started to make my course towards the armchair, and then I realized an individual was on the armchair. The appearance of the individual looked familiar. I thought of where I was, as I was supposed to be fighting the lady who attacked me. Was this how the afterlife looked like, or have I been put in an illusion? These questions ran its line freely in my head as I approached the armchair at the center of the room. The closer I got to the image, the more vivid it started getting, the person sitting in that chair wasn't just familiar. The individual sitting in that chair was me.

While I stood there, it was the same as looking at myself in the mirror. Just before I could say anything. Me on the chair started laughing, a laughter that at first started so soft I could compare it to a chuckle, and before you knew it, her laughter grew wild and filled the room as she threw herself at me.

"Why? Why? Why? Why have you decided to let us be humiliated in this manner, look at you..... You would have been alpha of the Ericsons family, but you got taken down by a banshee!!!!!" she shouted as she swung her fist at my face.

Just before she could land the blow, I managed to dodge her. More like something inside me controlled me when I dodged her. I was still trying to wrap my head around where I was, and I couldn't defend myself totally.

Just before I could gain my balance, I felt her presence behind me. She moved so fast I couldn't even catch up with her speed. She let off a very intimidating pressure, so much, so I was weak and couldn't move. I didn't want to believe that I was about to get severely pounded by myself.

"You're weak Dianne....weak!!!" she shouted as he slashed my back with her claws.

The impact pushed me across the hall, and I could taste my own blood in my mouth. Such strength, I struck out the possibility that this was the afterlife and started believing that I was in an illusion.

"Come at me, fight me Dianne, where is that pride we owned? Where is that strength built from the pain of our past, huh? Are you just going to let it all go and let your abilities get sealed off forever?" she said as she walked towards me.

"Sealed off..... what do you mean sealed off?" I said as I stood up from the rubble created from the impact of my fall from when she slashed me across the room.

"You let a witch do you in Dianne, you let yourself fall!!!!" she shouted just as she vanished right in front of me and the next thing I saw was her in front of me swinging her fist once again to deliver a direct punch. I was caught off guard and could barely defend myself yet again.

"Look around us, Dianne, this used to be us before you decided to give In to your heart and follow Lewis in the name of love!!" She shouted and just then the room changed so quickly to one big sphere with us in the middle. The sphere went round slowly, showing a moment where I could see myself doing things I don't remember.

I was lost at the moment still trying to grasp the whole thing when she let out a howl.... a howl so loud and strong only strong wolves would give out. Just then, she had metamorphosed into an enormous she-wolf. Its fur was pitch black with stripes of white starting from its ears down to its tail. Its eyes were red, as if it were filled with blood. The atmosphere changed, the air was heavy just from the pressure its presence let off. This was nothing compared to what I transformed into when I fought the lady before I passed out.

"This….. this is who we are, Dianne" she said as she let go of the she-wolf form and reverted to her human form. She stood there in front of me naked with her sexy body and succulent breast, a body physique built just like I am currently, what every man would die for.

"Over there, in that room you would find yourself" she said as she pointed to a room down the hall.

"In your last battle, you let the elders seal your true power, Dianne" she said as she went back to the chair at the center of the room.

"Wait...why Help me when you detest me so much?" I managed to ask as I walked towards her at the center of the room.

"Why ask a question you've answered already. I detest what you've made of us, you are stronger than you know Dianne, don't let love block that".

"What's behind that door?" I asked as I walked towards the door. Knowing fully well that after what I had just gone through, I shouldn't be expecting to open the door to a room with a bed full of roses.

"Why Not go in and see for yourself?" She said with a very ominous look on her face as she let off a little grin.

As I got closer to the door, the hall behind me started to fade and everywhere started getting dark. I couldn't even see the me I saw in the hall before. All that was left in the room was myself and the door, the door appeared to be a door that just stood there without any support, but it wasn't floating neither was it held by any strings.... I could see the other side as now the room had totally become dark with the door being the only source of light.

As I stood in front of the door, I could hear howls coming from behind the door, but looking from the other side of the room, behind the door looked empty.

As I reached out to open the door, it appeared as if I was being sucked into it. I didn't even try to fight it, I just let it do its thing.

After all, what was the worst that could happen?
