Katherine held her breath until she was sure the car had left behind the bandits. Finally, she relaxed, leaning against the car as she took a deep breath.
A rush of unease flooded over Katherine. A car had stopped for her, and she had gotten in without checking who the owner was. What if it was a kidnapping?
Turning to the person beside her, Katherine's eyes widened in shock. Could it be? She remembered seeing a photo on her Instagram feed, a side profile of a man rumored to be the heir of the Willows family, known as one of London's most dangerous individuals. She had heard tales about him, but sitting next to him with his cold, piercing eyes fixed on her was surreal.
His gaze was intense, seeming to see right through her soul.
Speechless, Katherine's survival instinct made her kneel, her knees sinking into the plush car seat. "I'm truly sorry for startling you, sir," she managed to say, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and gratitude. "Thank you for rescuing me, I'm so grateful."
The man remained silent, his expression unmoved. "Happy garden," he uttered in a deep voice that filled the car like a heavy wave.
Confused but too afraid to ask, Katherine stayed kneeling, hoping he might release her. Minutes passed, her leg growing weak and numb as the car continued on. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the car came to a stop in front of a lavish villa.
The villa was an imposing sight, standing tall and elegant against the backdrop of the night sky. Its grand architecture featured intricate details and tall columns that added to its regal appearance. The windows were adorned with ornate curtains, and the soft glow of lights illuminated the front entrance, casting a warm and inviting aura.
The exterior of the villa boasted a well-maintained garden, with vibrant flowers and lush greenery adding a touch of serenity to the surroundings. A paved driveway led up to the main entrance, where a set of grand double doors beckoned visitors inside.
Katherine stared at the villa through the window,she was lost untill the car door was opened by a man on black suit ,"miss please alight ." he stepped aside do Katherine could come out.
But Katherine was resistant she even began begging the more, "please am really sorry for disturbing your peace,please don't end me , I promise to keep my mouth…
"Miss if master had really felt wrong by your actions, your body would be drowning in the deepest sea by now, so miss please be good and don't cause Master unnecessary problems."
Katherine wondered if they was an option for her, but after going through her thought she came in the conclusion that she had no choices.
Being a good girl that she had grown accustomed to being for the past three months, Katherine got down from the car, the man on black suit led her towards the villa entrance,he opened the door for Katherine, who hesitated but eventually stepped in, the door was closed immediately.
Katherine's heart almost dropped when she heard the sound of the door closing and the clicking sound from the key. She looked around the room she was in ,they wasn't a need to tell that this was the living room.
Katherine heard footsteps and she quickly looked towards the stairs where she heard the footsteps, the footsteps belongs to no other than the Willows heir, he was walking towards her with neatly folded bed sheets.
"You can have the guest room tonight."he said as he handed her the sheets,and turned to go.
Just as he took few steps away Katherine got the courage to ask a question." Why are you helping me."?
The man paused."because I would feel bad if you got help from someone else." The man said and this only made Katherine more puzzled.
Katherine was speechless." I really appreciate your help Mr Willows,but please take me to the airport istead, my flight departs by 10:00 pm."
The man didn't say much he only pointed at the clock that hung on the wall.Katherine was shocked when she saw the time , it was already 11:12 ,this signals her flight had already left without her."
Katherine bowed her head very low."thank you Mr Willows ,I would remember this encounter in the future."
The man only nodded and started walking away, he paused half way," the guest room is there." He pointed to a door that was close to the stairs.
Katherine nodded and waited till he was completely gone before she quickly walked to the guest room and got in, she closed the door and cross checked to be sure it was closed.
The guest was just a simple room which didn't seem like it had been used in a long time,but the room was overall very clean as they was no smell of dust.
Katherine placed the sheets on the bed and didn't hesitate to jump unto the soft bed,once her head came in contact with the pillow ,she dozed off immediately and that was exactly how stressed she was.
However after Katherine slept, the door that she had closed and cross checked was opened and pair of long legs walked in.
Alexander felt his heart sting a bit he saw her sleeping face that looked less stressed, he walked to the bed carefully taking the sheet and covering her up ,but he stopped mid way when he heard her say incoherent words, he leaned over so as to hear what she was saying,but his hands almost tore the sheets apart when he heard what she said.
He couldn't believe this woman was dreaming of another man in his own house, wasn't that cheating?
