Chapter 4 - sharing space

Alexander rose from the sofa, adjusted his cufflinks, and donned his jacket before making his way to the door. Just as he was about to leave, he turned back to Katherine. "Jennie, the housekeeper, will accompany you to the mall to assist you in finding new clothes," he informed her before exiting the room, leaving Katherine surprised and speechless.

As Alexander left the room, Katherine sat there stunned for a moment, She didn't know if she was having a nightmare or if this was real, she had just struck a deal with the mighty Alexander Willows and he was willing to bring her back to the spotlight, wasn't that what she always wanted? From the very day she fell from the top she had always wanted to get back up she wanted to take revenge and make Edward and his fiancee suffer every pain she did.

Katherine still sat still on the sofa till the door opened and the house keeper Jennie stepped in with bag of groceries.

Katherine quickly got up to help out but the housekeeper smiled kindly and held up a hand to stop her. "Oh no, dear, don't you worry about a thing. Mr. Willows has instructed me to take care of everything for you today," Jennie said in a warm tone as she set the bags of groceries down on the kitchen countertop.

Katherine looked at Jennie with gratitude in her eyes. "Thank you so much, but I can't let you do all the work. Let me at least help you make breakfast," she insisted, eager to show her appreciation for the unexpected kindness.

Jennie chuckled softly and shook her head. "No need to trouble yourself, dear. I've got it all under control. Why don't you have a seat and relax? You must be feeling overwhelmed with everything that's happened today," she suggested, gesturing towards the dining table.

Katherine hesitated for a moment, still not used to being taken care of so graciously. But she finally nodded and took a seat at the table, watching as Jennie began bustling around the kitchen, quickly and skillfully preparing a delicious breakfast.

The aroma of sizzling bacon and freshly brewed coffee filled the air, and Katherine couldn't help but smile at the comforting scene before her. "It smells amazing in here," she complimented, grateful for the distraction from her swirling thoughts.

Jennie glanced over her shoulder with a warm smile. "Thank you, dear. I always believe that a good meal can lift spirits and bring people together," she said as she plated the food and set it down in front of Katherine.

Katherine didn't rush the meal she took every seconds to savor the taste,it was as though she was afraid this day might never come again.

After breakfast, as Katherine sat there still in the pair of pants and shirt from the day before, Jennie, the housekeeper, could sense her unease. With a kind and understanding smile, she approached Katherine.

"Dear, Mr. Willows has instructed me to take you to the mall for some new clothes. Let's make it a low-key outing, just to get you feeling a bit more like yourself," Jennie suggested gently, knowing that a little shopping therapy could do wonders for Katherine's spirits.

Katherine nodded gratefully, feeling a mix of emotions.

"Let me get my car keys." Jennie said

With a nod of agreement, Katherine watched as Jennie mentioned getting the car keys, ready to embark on this low-key outing. As they left the house and entered the nearby mall, Katherine couldn't help but notice how empty it seemed, with just a few staff members scattered about and the two of them walking through the quiet corridors.

The peaceful atmosphere of the mall contrasted with the whirlwind of emotions inside her. Katherine took a deep breath.

Jennie guided Katherine through different stores, helping her pick out outfits that suited her style and personality. With Jennie's keen eye for fashion and her genuine desire to assist Katherine, they soon had a handful of new pieces that brought a spark back to Katherine's eyes.

As they walked back to the car, Katherine couldn't help but express her gratitude to Jennie. "Thank you so much for all your help today, Jennie. You've made this day so much better for me," she said sincerely.

Jennie smiled warmly. "It was my pleasure, dear. I'm always here to help in any way I can. Just remember, you are deserving of all the good things that come your way," she replied, her words carrying a sense of wisdom and comfort.

With a newfound confidence and a wardrobe full of fresh clothes, Katherine felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

They got back to the villa As they arrived back at the villa, Katherine couldn't help but feel a sense of renewal and gratitude for the day she had experienced. Jennie had been a guiding light, offering not just practical assistance but also a sense of kindness and support that had touched her deeply.

Jennie led Katherine up to the master bedroom this time, a small gesture that signified a shift in their dynamic. The room felt different than the guest room she had been staying in. It was elegant, with soft lighting and luxurious furnishings that exuded a sense of calm and comfort.

"Mr. Willows has arranged for you to stay here for the duration of your time here," Jennie explained, her voice gentle and reassuring. "He wanted to ensure that you have a peaceful and comfortable space to rest and rejuvenate."

Katherine was speechless wasn't this too much ? She was already thankful that he was willing to help her back to the top but she hadn't expected him to give his room up to her.

As Katherine listened to Jennie's explanation about the master bedroom being arranged for her stay, she felt a mix of gratitude and disbelief. She appreciated Mr. Willows' generosity, but she also felt unsure about accepting such a lavish offer. With a warm smile, she gently raised her hand to signal to Jennie that she needed to speak.

"Jennie, I am truly touched by Mr. Willows' kindness and your support. I cannot express how much this all means to me. However, I must decline staying in the master bedroom. It's too much, and I'm more comfortable in the guest room," Katherine spoke softly but firmly, her eyes reflecting her sincerity.

Jennie's expression softened, understanding the weight of Katherine's decision "I respect your choice dear, but Master had strictly asked me to keep all your belongings in his room ,I can't go against that"

Katherine's eyes widened in shock." His room.?"
