After the events that had happened previously, Cyrus is currently walking around town, trying to think of a way to at least get a place to stay so that he can plan and figure out what to do in the situation he is in. And by that I mean, he's financially broke.
"I wonder if healing people can be a good job. It could work but it might be illegal too.." As Cyrus sighed, he saw a crowd forming nearby, which got him curious, leading him to go towards the noise only to see a man sitting down, with 3 cups and a gold coin he's holding, then speaking.
"If you're lucky, then come and try playing my game!" As the man chuckled after his sentence. But for Cyrus, this was an opportunity, although he doesn't know how much a gold coin is worth but, it's at least something. "I'll try it."
"Well then! Give the kid some space!" Cyrus walked towards the man and sat down in front of him, a table between them as three cups were on it. "This game is purely by luck and chance.. You sure you're lucky enough to try it?" The old man said, trying to provoke Cyrus, yet he didn't show any signs of hesitation. "Of course I am."
The man surprised by his confidence, starts to spring in action. Putting the coin on the table as the middle cup gets over it, but before he starts shuffling them, he looks at Cyrus and asks. "Ever seen fast hands before?" When Cyrus was asked by this question, he was about to answer until the old man began shuffling the cups at incredible speed! The people surprised and shocked about his speed, then a man in the crowd said something that caught Cyrus's attention.
"That man's an Enhance user!" Said by the man in the crowd, which made Cyrus only grin in excitement, putting his hand on his lips as he kept his eyes at the very fast cups that were being moved around in a quick speed, observing how his hands, arms, breathing moved until he stopped. The three cups aligned perfectly as if they didn't move an inch. Yet the stakes are high, he has to figure out if it's the left cup, the middle cup, or the right cup. "So, which is it kid?" The old man said with a cocky and confident smirk, whilst Cyrus kept his focus as he smiled before letting out a slight chuckle.
"I hate to break it to you but.." As Cyrus said, he raises his right arm, before pointing at the cup he chose. "It's the left one." The man had a poker face so it wasn't obvious if he had won or not, but it all decides when the cup is removed. The crowd being excited and nervous. Cyrus quiet and focused. The man sighing as he raised the left cup to see that the gold coin was there all along! Cyrus won! As the crowd congratulates him by applauding.
"Hell yeah!" As he cheered for his own victory, the man scratched his hair while feeling defeated. "Seriously.. How'd you know it was the left?" Raising an eyebrow, asking Cyrus that question only made him chuckle. "Oh, well it's because while watching you move around the cups, I noticed that you were pretty good at hiding your hand movements. Yet you were most comfortable and skilled at using your left. So of course, it was a 50/50 chance you'd put it at the right or at the left."
The man couldn't believe that he was figured out by such a talented young man in his age, laughing proudly as he pats Cyrus's shoulder then giving him 10 gold coins instead of 1, which made him surprised of course. "Woah.. This many?" He asked, while the man just nodded and smiled at him. "Of course kid, never thought I'd get beaten like that, so you deserve it." While the man puts a thumbs up as Cyrus appreciated it, bowing down as a kind gesture before leaving while waving goodbye at the man with both of them enjoying each the time and thrill they had.
Once Cyrus had gotten money, he was happy that he already had something to get started with. Now currently in an inn then walking to the counter where the innkeeper was adjusting her stuff. "Oh hello there! Are you here to rent a room sir?" She asks with Cyrus nodding in response, putting the bag of 10 gold coins on the counter. "How long can I stay with this much?" As he asked, the innkeeper was pretty much surprised with the amount of money he has, answering his question back with a shaky voice. "T.. That would be 10 months.. Sir.."
"10 months? Huh.. WAIT 10 MONT-"
When Cyrus calmed down, the innkeeper was kind enough to give a brief explanation of how currency works in their world, with it being:
Bronze Coins = 10
Silver Coins = 1000
Emerald Coins = 10,000
Gold Coins = 100,000
Pearl Coins = 500,000
Diamond Coins = 1,000,000
Alexandrite Coins = 10,000,000
"I see.. Now this got me wondering about that man." Saying that, he got curious about how much money the man he played with earlier. But shrugging it off since it's not his thing to pry into people's privacy, then nodding as he slides two gold coins towards the innkeeper. "Then I'd like to stay here for 2 months for now. I have to earn money anyways.." With a nervous laugh, the innkeeper giggled with a nod, understanding his situation. "Of course! Then please choose any rooms. The magic my father installed on the doors makes it that only the people who have entered can only go inside the rooms. Enjoy!" She bows slightly as I nod with a gentle smile. Going upstairs to see the rooms were different color. They were wooden doors but with different colors, brown and red. So he tries touching the red door but was blocked by a barrier, amazed and impressed. Then remembering the magic the innkeeper talked about. "Looks like this is her father's magic.. That's incredible."
So he went to a brown door and it opened, now getting knowledge that brown doors are the vacant ones meaning it's empty and is for people. Going inside, it had a nice smell, a bed, a single cushion couch which looked a bit fancy, and a window. Obviously the only thing a man would do immediately inside his room. Is to lay down and think about what he plans to do.
"Alright.. Big day! I should figure out how to gain money so I won't go broke from the gold coins I have left.." After thinking a bit he sits up on the bed while sighing, then standing up to take a look outside to see it was still bright out.
"First I should check up on my skills to see what I have... but how do I do it?" He wondered before remembering to say the word he needed. "Reputation!"

"Ah.. Yeah this is too long, I just wanna see the skills if that's fine." Once he said, the screen disappeared as a new screen popped up and showed only the skills he has.
Skills: Purify | Healing | Priest's Shield | Holy Light | Fog of Abundance | Reduction | Curse Abandonment
"Sweet! Though I already know healing does well, healing. Purify cures people from sickness.. Priest's shield is a barrier. The ones I haven't used are Holy Light, Reduction, and Curse Abandonment.. I wonder what they are." The screen then proceeds to show a quick description of what the remaining skills he hasn't used does, which was pretty helpful.
( Holy Light contains the power to illuminate in dark area. Allowing the user and their party members to roam around freely without getting hit by curses. )
( Reduction is a support type of magic where the user casts it on an ally for them to receive less damage. )
( Curse Abandonment is [Reach Intermediate First] )
Cyrus got confused as he tried to know what the skill Curse Abandonment does. But unfortunately, it was blocked due to him being a low Rank, which he understood because he still hasn't leveled up and can't be leveled up because of his current skills. "Well that's a problem, though how does a Healing magic user even level up.. Do I have to consistently heal and support people?" With a sigh, he lays back down with the screen disappearing, trying to think of any other way to both gain money, and to level up at the same time.
"Well, I have no choice but to offer my healing services around town for now." With that in mind, he decided to heal other people in a party instead. Of course, he knows that he's in a different world with such properties, there should be at least a guild or clan in the area. So that's what he's going to do first.
Meanwhile...
"So is everything ready for tomorrow?"
"Yes sir. A lot of candidates have been seen capable enough to join us."
"Excellent. We'll do our best to teach them here in our academy. Now go. I wish to be alone."
"Of course sir." He bowed to the man before leaving him alone.
While he stood up from his chair, looking outside the window before pulling out a cigarette, lighting it up as he began smoking. "This year will be very different than usual.." Saying so with a smirk due to his feeling.
