The next day, precisely at 6 pm, Brandon and Victoria arrived in Portland and decided to rest at a hotel far from his family mansion's location. He let his fiancée rest while he called the hotel staff to send the best food.
"Why did you order food?" Victoria asked as she sat up after a few minutes lying on the bed with white sheets, looking at Brandon sitting on the black couch.
"Aren't you hungry?" Brandon asked back.
"Yes..." Victoria nodded with an innocent look. "But at seven pm we'll be at your family's mansion for dinner... So there's no need to eat now."
Brandon smiled faintly, then pocketed his phone and approached Victoria casually.
"Do you think we could eat there?" he asked.
Victoria fell silent, rolling her eyes, imagining the atmosphere at Brandon's family mansion later. Delicious food was a certainty, but maybe the situation wouldn't be conducive for eating because everyone would be surprised by their arrival.
