Chapter 24 - Going Home

"Wait!"

The sound of Akiel's voice echoed through the radiant space.

Hearing it, the angel who was prepared to fly up once again stopped as he looked back in the direction where Akiel was screaming.

"Uh! Am I seeing this right?" muttered him.

"If What you're seeing is a naked man running at us, then you're right," said the female angel behind him.

"Is he a human?" the angel guessed by the appearance of Akiel, but in the next second, he felt the stench of a demon from Akiel's body.

"No, he's also a demon, a lesser one at that. Might have been one of them associated. Just put him down."

As the male angel said, from the space, a glass-like illusion appeared and shattering it, a chain which previously pierced the skin of Filora appeared as it moved swiftly toward Akiel.

Akiel saw the fast-arriving fierce chain toward him, and he became shocked and fearful. He didn't have the time or the ability to defend himself against these chains, and within a few moments, the chain was right in front of his eyes.

Clink!

But before the chain could even pierce Akiel, his hand unknowingly moved and held the chain right before his eyes, stopping it.

"Hmm," the angel's face became a bit surprised as he saw that.

"Lahrak... He stopped that."

"Yes, Mera, I saw that too. Change the plan. Use all of our force to subdue him. He seems to be a demon hiding his true power," said the male angel, his face turning cautious. Suddenly, around the space of him, countless golden reflections appeared, and from them, the golden halo force chains came out, aiming toward Akiel.

In the radiant space, one whole side of it almost got covered by the chains.

Akiel saw the chains aimed toward him.

"Whoa, please, I'm not an enemy," he threw the chains in his hand away and lifted up both his hands, showing surrender to them.

"Yeah right, like we would believe a word of a demon," the male angel said.

"Demon? Who said I'm a demon? I'm human, ninety-nine percent!" exclaimed Akiel.

Hearing Akiel, Lahrak looked at Filora, bound by chains.

"Is he telling the truth?"

Filora looked toward Akiel on the ground, her face becoming perplexed as she saw the chains that pierced her right under his foot. After thinking for a bit, she looked back at the angel again and nodded.

"He is. He was supposed to be our meal if you hadn't come crashing into our place, and he smells like us because we enjoyed him a bit," said her.

"You sinful wretch!" the angel's expression changed as he heard Filora's answer, and the chains appeared from space slowly backed toward the shattered illusion they came from and disappeared.

Lahrak once again looked toward Akiel.

"He easily blocked the chain of judgment with his bare hand. This human must not be a simple being. Perhaps that being looks after him.... If it is, I do not want to engage with this human anymore," thinking, Lahrak spoke toward the female angel beside him.

"Take him into custody and check if what she said is true. If it is, send him back to his own world and erase his memory of what happened."

After saying that, Lahrak suddenly flew up into the air and disappeared into the white space.

After he left, a few female angels flew down and landed in front of Akiel.

"Whoa! Are you guys angels?" I asked, absorbed in their appearance. Their beauty is unmatched by any woman I've seen in my whole life. They are the pure definition of the words beautiful, graceful, and elegant.

Peering at me, they giggled, surrounding me. I hurriedly looked down and realized that I was naked at the moment, covering my genitals with my hand in embarrassment.

"Oh, this is a first. You're the first one to not ask any of us to be their mates," a female angel, who appeared as the leading figure among those angels, said to me.

"I am?" I replied simply. Other than a girlfriend, what I'm most desperate for right now is to get some clothes in my hand.

"You're truly a unique human. First, you hold the chain of judgment from your bare hand, and now you didn't even fall for our beauty at first glance," another angel said.

Somehow, I feel like they are praising me way too much.

"Right, come with us. We will bring you to your home planet safely," says one of the female angels as she extends her hand toward me.

From their faces and expressions, I didn't feel like they have any care about me being naked. It's almost like they are used to it, or they simply don't care how I look.

I put the little bag in my other hand to my back and grabbed the hand of the angel. After that, she spread her giant white wings and flew up in the air.

"Ooo," suddenly lifting up from the ground and flying in the sky scared me. Taking the hand that covered my genitals, I grabbed the angel's hand tightly, holding on tight to her.

"Do not be afraid. I'm not going to let go of you," the angel said as she looked toward me. Her voice was like honey to my ears. It calmed me and made me feel like I was in good care.

Alone with the angel carrying me, other angels also flew up in the radiant space. In some of their hands were the chains that pierced the skin of Filora, and in some, Gilda was held.

The angels flew up and up in this white space until my whole vision was covered by the white radiance to the point I lost sight of everything but whiteness.

"Ugh," I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, I saw that we were flying above a giant cluster of clouds.

Looking at those clouds, I glanced toward the direction where we were heading and saw that the giant cluster of clouds was just a tiny piece of cotton compared to the swirling clouds in the path I was heading. It was like something magical; the clouds were swirling toward what looked like a holy light. The holy light cast a golden glow toward the clouds, making them appear a bit majestic.

I looked up toward the angle that carried me.

"Before we escort you to your home planet, we have to go back to our place. It will be much smoother if we punish them first," she explained. The "them" she mentioned must be Gilda and Filora.

To be honest, going to my home is not something I'm much interested in. Hearing her say that we are going to the place she was from, my curiosity was piqued. I've heard some old tales that angels live in heaven, and from where I was in the earth, there are some ancient writings that some people believe in some sort of God to bring them to an afterlife after their death.

The angel holding me flapped her wings again as she sped up and flew directly toward the golden halo in the center of the swirling clouds, surrounded by the other angels.

As I gazed toward the rapidly approaching golden halo, I felt some kind of strange energy from my body. At that moment, my whole vision was filled with a golden shine as we flew right through the gold halo.

Whoosh!

A warm and comfortable wind blew against my face. Somehow, this wind felt a bit different; it was like the wind itself was trying to heal my worn-out and tired body.

"You can open your eyes," I heard the sweet voice of the angel above me, and upon hearing her, I complied.

As I opened my eyes, I saw the scenery before me and it was one of the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

It was a clouded, endless space with no ground, where floating landscapes adorned the space, each possessing its own uniqueness.

I saw one landscape that resembled a forest, with a giant tree at its center. The tree had a crooked door leading to a house inside it.

Additionally, I observed a towering golden castle built upon a mountainous landscape covered by clouds resembling snow.

Amidst the endless array of floating landscapes in this clouded space, I noticed a particularly large one at the apparent center. It was shining and casting a glorious glow all around the sky.

To my eyes, I could only discern the golden and radiant crystals that adorned this landscape and the structure within it.

"Are you surprised?" The angelic woman's voice resonated above me.

"I am. What is this place?" I asked.

"This is the place built by the All-Father for his children. This is where all the holy beings reside.

Human, welcome to the City of Celestials," the angel said as she flew toward the golden city land.
