Chapter 33 -   Family Talisman Challenge

The remaining paintings were all the same, blurry and indistinct!

For some reason, Bristol had a faint feeling that the contents of these remaining paintings held the key to clearing the level.

The people in the live stream room were filled with confusion as they watched Bristol standing there, staring at the wall paintings.

[Is Bristol discovering new clues?]

[No way, so soon? Billy Doll didn't even mention this level's rules!]

[But there's nothing special drawn on those paintings!]

[You upstairs, what can your mortal eyes see!]

[I bet Bristol has found something. These paintings must be the most important clue in this room!]

"What is this, it's so scary!"

Ann's voice echoed in the room, tinged with panic.

Bristol turned his gaze towards her and saw her face full of fear, staring anxiously at a corner ahead.

There, stood two corpses, one male and one female!

Their eyes were tightly shut, their entire faces displaying a strange gray-white hue.

The black-purple lips made them look as if they had died of poisoning.

What was eerie was that these two individuals appeared to be in their thirties.

Yet the exposed skin on their bodies looked like that of elderly people in their seventies or eighties, sagging in layers, covered in spots, repulsive to behold.

Bristol looked around and noticed that the furnishings in the entire room were extremely strange!

Except for the wall where the paintings hung, which had no items, the other three walls were filled with dressing tables.

Every mirror on the dressing tables was covered in cracks, as if someone had thrown blunt objects at them!

The figures of the people in the room were fragmented into numerous pieces in these shattered mirrors, appearing extremely eerie!

Below the dressing tables were not cabinets, but huge cages filled with rats!

These rats seemed to be mutated, each one appearing enormous, weighing around ten kilograms.

Their eyes were a crimson red, resembling those of crazed wild beasts!

Their sharp claws gleamed black as they incessantly scratched at the cages, emitting a chilling sound!

"Squeak... squeak... squeak..."

The sharp squeaks of mice echoed continuously throughout the room, sending shivers down everyone's spine!

Each mouse glared menacingly, baring its teeth at all the players!

It seemed like they could burst out of their cages at any moment, shredding everyone in the room to pieces!

Though these mice were all confined in cages, the people couldn't help but step back, wanting to get away from there.

Edgar cautiously followed behind Bristol, watching the mice before him with a fearful expression!

"Bristol, you step back, watch out for these beasts hurting you!"

Edgar whispered nervously, afraid that the mice would rush out and bite Bristol, leaving no one to solve the puzzles in the room!

"Very well, everyone is here, let's begin."

The high-pitched voice of the Billy Doll suddenly appeared, startling everyone in the room.

Everyone quickly turned around to find the Billy Doll standing there, expressionless, looking at them.

"This is the last room, called 'Family.' How does it feel, cozy, doesn't it?" Billy Doll's voice was sharp and eerie.

After hearing the words of the Billy Doll, everyone exchanged glances.

Everyone felt that the name 'Family' was quite out of place in the Death Tower, making them a bit uneasy!

Billy Doll's bright red lips moved as he spoke with an extremely sharp and sinister voice:

"In this challenge, you must find the key and the final talisman to open the door and safely leave this place."

"Of course, it's best to have a talisman in this room. Otherwise, you might encounter some unpleasant things, don't blame me for not warning you."

[Wouldn't you get struck by lightning if you don't have a talisman in this room?]

[Alas, poor Arlene, this is your last chance!]

[What are you worrying about upstairs? With Bristol around, do we even need a talisman?]

[This last challenge sounds quite cozy, named 'Family,' could it be a bonus level?]

[A family should be all together, will everyone die together neatly in the last room?]

The audience in the livestream chat was already prepared, and upon hearing the rules of the game, they began to express their opinions, filling the screen with comments!

After finishing speaking, the Billy Doll in the room walked towards a corner, but halfway there, he suddenly stopped.

"Click, click... click..."

Billy Doll, with his back to everyone, suddenly turned his head a full 180 degrees!

The eyes of everyone widened like bells, mouths slightly agape, and involuntarily took a step back!

No one had expected that Billy Doll's head could directly turn to the back!

Everyone even forgot to breathe momentarily, each person wearing an expression of utter disbelief!

The audience in the livestream chat was also startled by Billy Doll's sudden movement, and they started commenting furiously!

["Damn it! This neck turning scared the hell out of me!"]

["I suspect his neck is screwed on, ready to be unscrewed at any moment!"]

["Don't know what he's up to! Players are not only getting messed up by the game but also scared to death by him!"]

["I'm done! Why make it so terrifying! He scared me so much I spilled my food!"]

In the room, Billy Doll looked at everyone, waving his short arms, and sinisterly chuckled:

"A friendly reminder, never let those parents out of your sight."

Everyone followed Billy Doll's pointing finger and saw the two bodies from before.

Everyone looked puzzled, not understanding what Billy Doll meant.

"Hehe... hehe..."

Vincent's terrifying laughter echoed throughout the entire room!

Billy Doll's head turned another 180 degrees, facing away from everyone as he walked towards the corner.

Watching his strange and tottering steps, Ann patted her chest with lingering fear, thinking:

"If he keeps turning his head like this, he's going to scare himself to death!"

"Bristol, do you know what Billy Doll meant just now? I feel like this is a very important clue!"

Arlene walked up to Bristol's side, a hint of confusion in her eyes, and asked with a serious expression.

"Let me think."

Bristol responded while mentally typing into the search box:

["What does Billy Doll mean by 'never let those parents out of our sight'?"]

Edgar stood beside Bristol, a flattering look on his face, saying:

"Bristol, any insights yet? Do you need me to do anything?"

Just then, Ann also ran over and brought up her own speculation:

"Bristol, could the key be on those two bodies, so that Billy Doll is telling us not to take our eyes off them?"

Bristol did not pay attention to the two.

Seeing Bristol not responding to her, Ann couldn't help but ask again:

"Bristol, have you figured out something?"

Bristol shook his head slightly, his face serious.

Seeing Bristol deep in thought, Arlene stepped forward, pulled Ann aside, and whispered softly:

"Ann, don't disturb Bristol. Let him think here by himself."
