Finally, the day I had been hoping for was finally here.I got up from my bed and I suddenly remembered last night's events and I was instantly disgusted.
"Let's not ruin the mood" I said mentally to my self. I entered the bathroom and took my bath and when I was done I wore casual clothes to breakfast.
Why not my uniform you might ask. Well, I'm one of those people who cannot eat without spilling on my clothes. So I always eat with different clothes. I opened my door and went downstairs for dinner. I hope that weird lady is gone.
I got to the dining table and unfortunately for me she was still very much there smiling foolishly at my father. Ugh she annoys me so much. " Good morning Father" I said and sat down for breakfast.
"Hmm hmm" my father cleared his throat without answering me. I got the cue. He wanted me to greet his "Fiancee" and no way in hell am I doing that. I pretended not to notice and I began to eat my breakfast.
I could obviously see the anger on his face but I didn't care. "It's ok honey" Eleanor said with a smile that was obviously fake. " I think Mia needs time to let everything sink" she said while giving me a crazy smile. "Hmm you're so kind hearted and that's why I love you" My father said obviously swooned by her.
Despite all these,I said nothing and ate my breakfast in silence. After I was done I left the table without a word and went to my room. When I got to my room, I let out a frustrated sigh and to be honest I was frustrated.My father who I thought understood me in the whole world apparently never did and I was just realizing that.
I took off my breakfast clothes and wore my uniform. It actually looked better than I thought. The shirt was white with beautiful buttons. The skirt was blue and it stopped just above my mid thighs. I totally loved it.
I styled my hair into a bun and left some strands hanging just in front of my head. I put on black knee socks and black ankle boots. I mean my dressing isn't complete without anything black. I didn't bother putting on makeup because I didn't see the need to.
I looked at myself in the mirror and I was quite satisfied. I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs. I couldn't see my father and Eleanor. I guess they left. I went outside and looked around for Mr Rogers and I couldn't find him.
I guess I'm all alone this time. I walked to the car and I got in. The driver already knew where to go. The drive to the school was a long one but I took the time to actually relax and enjoy the fresh air I was receiving.
After a while, we arrived at the school and the driver parked the car in the parking lot. As I got out of the car I noticed there were luxurious cars. Sports car of the latest model and Teslas that were really expensive. I guess this school was a really big shot.
"Do you need me to come with you?" the driver said to me." No thanks, you can leave now" I said politely and he instantly turned and drove off.
I left the parking lot and headed towards the main building and man was it impressive. The outer walls were shining with marbles and I don't just mean ordinary marbles. I mean expensive marbles.
On one side outside, there was a water fountain with lights and it made it beautiful. As I was walking inside I noticed statues on each side of the door and they were extraordinary. Despite how rich my family was I'd only read about these statues in books. I reached to touch it when I heard a female voice.
"Touchy much" the girl said to me. I noticed there were 2 other girls standing next to her with her in the middle. Classic popular girl and minions arrangement. I should have walked away but then I didn't.
"Excuse me?" I said with all the politeness in me. " I mean it's not everyday that peasants like you get to come here but then you shouldn't show your classlessness around here don't you think?" she said and the other girls laughed.
Wow. I was taken aback. I'd never been insulted like that before and what I was classless. Ohhh she's going to regret saying that. I was about to reply when a girl quickly came and said "We're so sorry Rose. She didn't mean to annoy you. We'll be on our way now" and she dragged me away from that girl depriving me of the joy of cooking her.
I forcefully let go of her hand and she seemed surprised. " I'm so sorry you looked like you needed help" she said. " I could have handled that myself if only you didn't interfere" I said angrily. "Ohh.... I uhhh.... I didn't know" she stuttered.
When I heard her stutter, a part of me became guilty and I said "it's fine and I apologize if I snapped". "It's fine" she said with a beautiful smile.
"Evie" She said while extending her hands for a shake and I took it " Mia" I said as I shaked her. I noticed that Evie was blonde and she wore glasses.
She had green eyes and little freckles on her cheeks. She was quite beautiful.
"By the way why were you so shaken up when you saw that girl earlier" I asked her " Oh, you mean Rose. She's the most popular girl here and the two girls who were beside her are her friends." She said. "Oh" was all I said.
After we parted, I headed to the Administration office to register. I got there and met a middle aged woman. I told her I was new and she gave me my locker key and number. I thanked her and left.
As I was walking to my locker, people were staring at me. I felt uncomfortable but I still raised my head up high. I got to my locker and I put my books in,got the ones I needed and left for class.
I had biology first period and using the map I was given, I headed to the class. As I entered the class, I instantly felt a whole lot of eyes on me. "Guys, meet Mia Roberts she's new here" the teacher said. I didn't know if I should wave or smile. I was completely clueless. "Mia do you have anything to say" the teacher asked again.
"No" I said. "Ok you can go and sit " the teacher said and continued his class. Evie waved to me and I sat beside her. While the class was going on, the classroom door flew open and everyone stared at the door as If an alien had arrived.
I was too busy writing to get involved in the staring duel. Almost everyone was whispering and all the girls were literally drooling well, except me of course. Out of curiosity, I looked at the door and I could not believe my eyes.
