Grenville pondered how to defeat Sean and guard his dignity as a knight.
I have no advantage in strength, so I should use my wits and skill to win, along with my man! Grenville, mounted on his horse, pondered in his mind!
"Hey! Man, I'm counting on you next!" Grenville lowered his head and whispered in the dark horse's ear, "Use that trick we did last time with the bandits!"
The big black horse let out a loud snort, as if responding to Grenville in general. And Elizabeth below, because of the mask blocked, could not guess what Grenville had some, the heart unconsciously tense, hands clenched are sweating!
Across the street, Sean was chatting happily with his supporters. For Sean, although the strength of the strange knight in front of him is not bad, but still can't compare to himself, as long as the next hand and then work hard, the victory is in the bag, it is easy to take it.
So Sean's laughter grew even louder, more and more unrestrained, as if intentionally demonstrating toward Grenville.
At the sound of Sean's laughter, Grenville's ever-so-calm state of mind wavered a bit, and his brow furrowed slightly, then relaxed, a movement so slight that no one saw it except Elizabeth, who had been keeping an eye on him.
Elizabeth looked at Grenville carefully, and when she saw the frown, some slight sweat broke out unconsciously on her hands.
Grenville straightened his armor when he was ready, and after the big man, Sean, saw him move, he began to get ready as well.
The two men rode on their horses and began to build up momentum about a hundred feet apart. Suddenly, as if by agreement, the two began to charge forward in unison.
Grenville slightly sideways, seems to be getting some kind of action, and Sean also saw him this way, not thinking in the bottom of his heart sneer, he has always believed in the code of power is king, in the face of absolute power, all the trickery of the dregs.
And what Sean hated the most was scheming, he had always thought that such a person was not worthy of being a knight. Thinking of this, Sean instantly had an idea in his mind to teach him a lesson, and the strength of the clenched spear in his hand increased a lot more, and the look on his face suddenly took on a hint of a scowl, and his shield shrunk back a little more.
Sean urged the black horse on his crotch forward regardless, while Grenville stared ahead of Sean with all his concentration, seemingly calculating something, and the big black horse on his crotch took many more steps, tending to slow down.
By the time the two were less than a foot apart, the large black horse abruptly leapt upwards, the horse's body seeming to stand fast and upright, almost perpendicular to the ground at close to eighty degrees. The two hind legs stood as upright as a human's, causing the eaters below to lose their voices.
Edward also felt as if he was watching a movie; it was hard to see such a scene in reality.
Still as he did last time, Sean was the first to veer off as the two were about to collide, and that's what Grenville was waiting for.
He was the first to make a move, swinging his shield up with his hand and slamming it into Sean, and a powerful force was reflected back at him that felt considerably greater than the first two times.
Sean seemed taken aback by the tactic of Grenville taking the lead, especially with the big black horse's amazing leap that broke through his perception of what a horse could do.
It wasn't until the huge impact of the shield hit that it woke Sean up, and he clenched his teeth and hurriedly pushed back with all his strength, even so hard that his body tilted uncontrollably towards the Glenwiddie.
Grenville had long anticipated Sean's counterattack, and hastily contracted his body backward, using the distance to offset Sean's force, while Grenville seized this rare opportunity, taking advantage of Sean's rare chance to lose his body's balance, and flew the spear in his left hand up, struggling to stab towards Sean's neck.
And Sean saw the spear stabbing towards him with his afterimage and hastily retreated backward, but how could Grenville let him have his way, with such a close distance, Grenville's spear easily touched Sean's neck.
To the astonishment of the entire crowd, Grenville's spear stabbed the big Sean in the neck without any obstruction.
And Sean's body fell uncontrollably from his horse onto the earthy-scented arena. There was already a bright white mark on his neck.
Soon Grenville was surrounded by a large wave of guards, and the people crowded toward him with cheers, delighting in him like a hero.
A little uncomfortable with the atmosphere, Grenville managed to make his way out of the crowd and saw Sean being helped to his feet by his partner, a look of resignation on his face.
"Hey! Man, you were great!" Grenville walked by, took off his helmet, and addressed the big Sean in a solemn tone.
"That's for sure, I lost to you in a moment of carelessness, otherwise, you would never be my opponent!" Sean's tone carried a bit of indignation.
"However, your riding skills are also very good!" I don't know if I was impressed by Grenville's words or what, but the attitude of the words changed quite a bit.
The two then shook hands, a heartfelt flavor spreading through both of them.
Elizabeth, having seen Grenville win, quietly departed without taking a speck of dust with her.
In the evening, Edward invited Grenville to join him for dinner.
"Dear Knight, I'm so happy for you!" Edward's tone was tinged with a bit of excitement, "Don't you know, out of the entire squire, it's Sean who has the most power!"
"And you beat him, which is a really exciting thing to see!"
"Your Excellency the Baron, you flatter me, it's mostly down to my mate - Harry!" Grenville said modestly. This was a quality of humility that was hard to see in medieval times, full of proud knights, and Edward only saw it in Grenville at the moment, which made Edward's desire to recruit him even stronger.
While Edward and Grenville chatted, Princess Elizabeth kept her head down and ate her dinner, not saying a word, looking ladylike, and Edward was still a little out of sorts.
The three of them ate their dinner, and when the waitress finished cleaning up, they started chatting mode.
"Mr. Knight, I wonder what your family situation is?" Elizabeth started the conversation, and after asking she felt a little shy and lowered her head again.
"It's been three years since I got out at the age of and my wife met God after giving birth to my son!" With that, Grenville made the sign of prayer.
"I'm sorry! Sir, I didn't mean to!" Elizabeth explained with a hint of snickering.
"Never mind! Beautiful Sister!" Grenville said, "It's all God's will!"
"Do you have any plans? Mr. Knight!" Edward asked immediately afterward.
"Thank you for your hospitality, Your Excellency the Baron, I'm returning tomorrow!" Grenville's tone was a bit embarrassed.
"Oh! Sir, won't you play a little longer?"
"No! My loved ones have been eagerly awaiting my return!" Grenville explained, "Besides, I miss them too!"
